What is the single most important element to win races online ?

Apparently, soft racing tyres, which everone else seems to be on when I'm playing by the book and running medium sports :dopey:

Power limiter is your friend, and so is SRF if it's available. I've ragequit enough online lobbies to know that if you can get a 600PP Ferrari into a 500PP race, you damn well do it :sly:

Assuming everyone is using cars that are equal in terms of performance, or just the same cars, I would say consistency is the most important element.

Better slower than off the track or in a crash?

Consistency....

I'm particularly good at placing 3rd out of a pack of ten, but i'd rather close to first than close to last.

#1 - Picking the right car for the room setup.
#2 - The right tune for the track you're on.
#3 - Driving skill. (Don't overdrive the car beyond your skills)
#4 - Remember that the race is not won in the first corner.
#5 - Remember that the guy in front of you his back bumper is not your brake.
#6 - Patience.

+1, make mine a XR1200X, HarleyMan.

Downforce and Low Weight are more important than Power. A good driver is just as important as a good tune. Knowing the track is just as important as knowing your car.

You forgot having Lucky Pants is just as important as all of the above. 👍

Only in the higher pp ranges. At around 550 and under, downforce is usually more of a hindrance and at the lower speeds of the lower pp car, low weight is almost irrelevant. I don't have a single car under 500 pp that I race online with that has weight reduction from stock. You lose too much hp for little gains in cornering.
