I Pre-ordered the Collectors Edition, That seems to be best value for money. đź‘Ť

I really hope that i don't have to wait too long after US release, Otherwise i'll find out too much about the game before i even get it

I`m going for the Collector`s Edition. I still don`t know which one, depends on the EU release date, which will hopefully be revelead at Gamescon.
If they tell me we europeans have to wait another 3 weeks, they can screw me and i will preorder the US CE.

I see things differently! I would see that as another few weeks of me looking forward to savouring that first moment when you get the game in your hands, the excitement of booting up the game for the first time! That moment will have been and gone for the US, and all they will have to look forward to is slogging it through the game :)
 
I preordered a EU collector's edition a few days ago, I was tempted by the signature edition but I'm a bit short of money and the price is very high.
 
Have pre-ordered the signature but thinking of getting the US Standard as well just to be sure of playing as early as possible!

Will wait till tomorrow to get a PAL release date though.
 
OK, so the decision has been made. After finding out that my mate in Florida will be giving me the GT-R model, I'm really not bothered about anything in the Signature Edition other than the Apex book and all 11 DLC cars. I don't really collect model cars, and don't particularly like the look of the orange SLS AMG - not enough to drop an extra 90 notes on it.

I'll just stick with my original Collectors Edition pre-order, and on top of that I'll pre-order one standard copy each from Amazon, Play and HMV. I'll send those back under the distance selling rules at a cost of around ÂŁ1 each, so 50p per stealth car...not bad, but not free either like they probably will be later on! :)

I just need to save up the best part of a grand to go over and see my mate in Florida to collect my model GT-R! Good job I was going anyway, otherwise that would have been one heck of an expensive Gran Turismo launch!

Wouldn't that be a little cheaper?
 
I'm going for the cheapest as its the same game as the most expensive but without the frilly bits, I will no doubt be buying dlc cars thugh at a later date (if available)
 
I'm getting the NTSC CE. When it was first announced it seemed that the stealth cars would be included but know it just the Chrome line cars. I don't like them as much as the stealth cars but I can't see myself importing for over $200US. I can put that toward a wheel and a stand instead.

I was going to get the CE, but I'm not so sure anymore - the only thing that really interests me in it is the book. I'd really want to know what's in it before I buy. If it's just the usual driving tips, I'll probably pass. :indiff:

Just the standard. Hope they won't annoy these buyers by putting special cars for download only for non-standard buyers like they did with Forza 3 :/
 
That's a given mate^

The pre order cars will almost certainly be available to all at a later date though.

That's the case for some optional cars, in special edition livery. What I mean is that cars who are supplied with every bluray disc which aren't available for everyone but only for buyers of a special edition of GT5.

I think it's fair to say that both the Stealth and ChromeLine cars will be available for unlocking at some point, as every disc will have these on them regardless of version. Stealth will likely be the first DLC pack, probably free, followed by ChromeLine as paid.

Same here, i don't know who does the Marketing for the GT5 but i think they really did a really very bad job. Everyone should be able to have it any edition in their own country. Canada didn't even get anything and i have to order it from the states.
 
We get the same options as the States. Standard copy or Collector's. Walk into your nearest GameStop and tell them you want the CE, they'll be happy to take a pre-order.

I'm not too surprised at Canada not getting the SE. We're not a very big market, and on average not as deeply interested in motorsports as most of Europe is. Then again, we still actually have an F1 course... :D
 
Only 3 retailers under one mother company are getting the SE aren't they? It has more to do with a deal they brokered with sony than market size I would guess. Maybe NA retailers realized it would be too hard to push such a low-bang-for-buck package onto the customer?
 
I'll most likely be getting the Collector's Edition. Only $10AUD more so figured it was worth the extra.

Well, yeah, that's entirely likely too. Guitar Hero games sell with a guitar bundle for less than what the SE would likely cost here, I imagine the SE would only be bought by the obsessives in fairly low numbers.

Are the SE's (or CE's) pre-order only? Will any end up sitting out on shelves? I'm curious because I picked up MGS4's Collector Edition brand new today for $20, and I imagine they will take a huge price cut after some time.
 
After latest news I feel like I need Signature Edition or even PS3 Bundle.
 
Just mailed my games retailer whether I could upgrade my standard edition to the collectors edition. Guess this will be the final game I buy for the PS3 and also the game which will remain in the PS3 until it dies :p
 
Well, I have to say, after all this news and knowing how eipic the scale of GT5 is going to be, I may just switch my order out to a Signature Edition and be done with it. I've gone backwards and forwards on this too many times, but the way I look at it is, I'll probably never put another racing game in the PS3 again, until GT6 lands that is! I have (just like everybody else) waited longer for this game than any other I can think of, and it is a rather special release. So, an extra ÂŁ90 for a model car, coffee book, and no need to mess about sending three copies of the standard edition back to get all 6 stealth cars... Meh, it's only cash!

I'll probably sell the wallet with competition card, the USB stick can go in my laptop bag, but the keyring...pending its value on eBay I'll give that away to anybody on here who wants it and lives in the UK, and happily pay the postage too ;)

You can get the CE in Canada at Play N Trade now (which I did because there is a store in my town!):)

I've pre-ordered the CE. Couldn't care less abut DLC cars, the only reason I'm paying the extra is for the Mook. I still flick thorugh the one I got with GT3 so it should be worth it.
