What would you do if...

It depends if I get any friends in jail (heh, I know..). I would probably stay alive.

Yeah, I think I'd try to escape. Even if I wanted to kill myself, which is almost as unlikely as going to prison in the first place, I wouldn't have the guts to do it.

Interesting... Kinda like would you rather die from extreme heat or freezing cold. I've never given jail that much thought because I'd hope I wouldn't do something that bad to be in a position to answer that question.

I hope i never end up in the clinck so I cant answer. If you get life, you are obviously a bit of a psycho, so either option would probably play out.

I.E. getting shanked whilst trying to earn respek' or dying whilst try to escape.

the reason?...well if you kill yourself then there is no going back...youre pan bread.!...end of story

if you stick it out then there may be a chance for escape....perhaps a powerful earthquake will shatter the building...perhaps the out break of civil war and the prisoners get freed....who knows, but at least you have a chance if your are alive....

I got to spend about eighteen hours over night in jail one time. I new then that I would definitely have to kill myself if I was ever sentenced to a long prison term. It wouldn't even have to be life. So if everybody just keeps quiet...

So what was it like? Not exactly the ritz eh?

It was just a local police holding cell for the night. Then early in the morning I was taken to the courthouse for a bond hearing where the judge let me go. It was just traffic related stuff. But the holding cell at the courthouse, which I shared with all the other people who got arrested the night before in that area... oh man that was the bad part. It was the people. To have to live with a bunch of ****-ups like that is reason enough to do the hari-kari. Stinking, drunken, hapless loosers. Utterly disgraceful and disgusting.

I would have to live out my sentence until the end of my days. I guess if I did something bad enough to get life then in my opinion I deserve it. I'm only saying that because I rarely get in trouble at school and stuff, but when I do I face up to it.

I vote for stay in prison alive, not untill I die, but untill i manage to get out or do something like talking to some judges or attorneys , but i can guerente I wont see the very last day of my sentance in jail.

Option 3 - Don't get caught.

But if I did get caught, I'd just stick it out. It's not so bad after the first few months, you get used to it, and then it feels weird being on the outside for a few weeks. You feel really stupid for those few weeks, too.

a life sentence doesn't mean staying there until you die, it's just a 65 year sentence (I believe, I may be off). If I got life in prison I'd live out the sentence, but I don't know of any reason why I would get a life sentence, so the whole thing is null and void...

Hire a better lawyer and appeal.


If the apepal process were exhausted, I'd live the sentence out in hopes that new evidence would turn up and I would be eventually excused. Then I would sue.

I don't think I could kill myself, but I could definitely do it indirectly. I would just make sure that everybody in the prison hated me. I'd start fights with random tough guys for no reason until somebody finally puts me out of my misery. Hell..they might even decide that you're insane and put you into a mental health facility instead where you spend the rest of your days doped up on drugs. It's a win-win situation.....well not really.
