Cheverolet Chevelle 454 SS '70 in the blacky red with white stripes, there literally is not better sounding car in GT5, the scream of its supercharger when its pushed up to 236mph! I always need a box of tissues next to me when i take it to Le Sarthe, come to think of it me and the car should probably get a room lol.

Haha yeah, same with me and a SLR McLaren xD.
 
One car that has recently surprised me is the Nissan SKYLINE Coupe 370GT Type SP ‘07. It only tunes up to about 500bhp, but it handles like a dream. It can stay with much faster cars on twisty tracks due to it's ability to hold it's speed through the corners. I think it's the best handling premium Nissan. I'm using RKM's tune.

Havent driven the 69 Camaro in game, but if it is close to real world driving, your dreams scare me.

My favorite cars full tuned are

1) Ferrari 458 Italia
2) Lexus LFA
3) McLaren F1
4) Shelby Cobra
5) Chevrolet Camaro RM
6) Dodge Challenger normal/tc

Fully tuned, it is the best car to drive in the game.
The noise, the acceleration, everything about it.

It still handles and looks like **** but damn its a beast on the straights and the exhaust sound( from outside view only obviously )is crazy. I love mastering the car because barely anyone else has bothered to and its fun seeing the reaction of people when you blast past them in racing cars.

The fact it seems to have negative downforce in gt5 makes it even more ridiculous to drive cos you end up flying half the time

AND NO CAR IN GT5 HAS A MEANER LAUNCH

Like a cannon with diahrroea

I've got quite a few favourites, but the three that I always return to are:
  • Mercedes Benz SL600 (R230)
1025bhp, 262mph on SSR7. Shame it handles like a Lego brick though!
  • Toyota Supra RZ
725bhp, 237mph on SSR7. Handling's not too bad, but will oversteer in the first three gears if you take it to the twisties.
  • BMW M3 GTR
543bhp. The most playful car I have, throw it into a corner and come out the other side trailing big black number 11's behind you in a cloud of smoke. I take this out on full racing softs and still drift everywhere around Spa!
 
Honda Z for twisties

Subaru 360 for drifting

Xdesperado67's 'Pocket Monster' Mira tune for fun and giant killing.

GT-R 07. Non RM, zero downforce, 846HP. Supercar killer. 233 on Daytona without a draft, mid 40s at Indy. Will beat LMPs on most tracks. Tune it, and they will weep.
Caterham is a blast also.
And don't knock the FGT.
 
The RUF BTR fully tuned and properly set up is awesome.

My favorite is likely the Ferrari 430 Scuderia fully tuned running on Nurburgring Nordschleiffe. Best drive for that car hands down.
