I've always liked the look of these wheels off of older Transits. They're just steel wheels but Ford gave them a rather attractive yet functional design, and I think they look really nice in a sort of form-follows-function kind of way.

I was stuck between putting this in the odd or the tasteful modifications thread, but since this mod is more about the wheels, I figured it'd be fitting for this thread.

I always loved wood spoked wheels on cars. They were pretty much used until the mid 20's but IMO were very pretty.
This 1910 Rolls Royce has beautiful pin striping, a brass center cap, and a black outer rim for removing the tire.

I also love the deluxe Volkswagen steelies from about 1947 to 1951. They were 5 lug wheels that came in a two tone paint corresponding with the car's colors and had baby moon hubcaps with an optional large hand painted VW logo imprinted on them. Top it all off with some whitewall tires and you got some sexy wheels.

An exchange with @Tyger in another thread compelled me to do a deep dive into the Mk2 alloy wheel from Cosmic Car Accessories Ltd. established in the early '50s in Walsall, Staffordshire, England, originally offering comfort and cosmetic accessories for an assortment of vehicles but specializing in Austin/Morris. I'm given to understand the company started selling wheels in '65 with the Mk1.

Pity I couldn't find images of everything I've seen them on, such as Lotus Elan and Eclat, TA22 Celica, Datsun 1200, Saab Sonett and DAF/Volvo 66.

I know there's a lot of distaste towards the Bangle E65 7-Series. But after seeing one show up with the Style 149 20" wheels at my work. I actually kind of like it...

Edit: Here's a picture of the one at my work.

Wow I didn't know such thread even existed here...

So many unknown wheels, more than I could ever care... And yet here we are...

The funny thing is, this morning as i was driving on my way to work, I snapped a photo specifically for a brand new wheel from BMW that I have never seen before and that is quite pleasing to the eyes...

It was on a new X4
