I'm 63 and I am currently one trophy away from earning a Platinum Trophy in Gran Turismo 5. I completed what I thought was something that I might possibly not be able to do at my age....earning the Gold Trophy on Suzuka in the Vettel special event, on February 12, 2011. I got to Level 40 in A-Spec yesterday, and I tried to earn the Dream Drifter Trophy for about 2 hours last night.

I had not tried drifting at all because I don't like it, I don't find it to be interesting, and I therefore am no good at it. It might take me longer to earn the 10,000 points needed for that Dream Drifter Trophy than it took me to earn that last Gold Trophy in the Vettel Challenge.

I'm 30 but I saw somebody post in the question and answers forums that was 60+.

Wow TigJackson!👍
Although I never have tried to race online, I would like to send you a friendship request.

Thanks:)

Big congrats on your accomplishments 👍
You got me by 5 yrs, 57 here.
I also see you have 100,000 GT4 A-spec points.
4th on the list to join the 100,000 club.
Don't know about you, but I sure miss the A-spec point quest in this game.
Hope you get that Platinum Trophy. :)

I appreciate the kind words, but I'm too old to be playing online, and that is something that I never intend to do. Please do not be disappointed if I do not respond to your friend's request, because I have never responded to many such requests that I have received in the past. It is just something that I do not care to do.

...there is no age limit for GT 👍

I'm 35 and still enjoying like a child too... :sly:

You know, I really enjoyed earning those 100,000 A-Spec points in Gran Turismo 4, and I adjusted the ballast on my car in the last race to end up with exactly 100,000 points....no more, no less. Even though I continued to play for a while, I did not earn a single additional A-Spec point.

I did not have the time or patience to go for the maximum points available in A-Spec mode, but I did manage to max out the 10,000 B-Spec points....this was more difficult to accomplish, in my opinion, and I don't think too many people reached both plateaus.

I know I didn't.
Getting the maximum A-spec point total was more than enough challenge for me.

Go to Chamonix Main and drift there, it's easy. You should get between 10 000-12 000 without much effort.
