Done a quick quick run. Menu's are brilliant, very TV layout and presentation. Showrooms look classy, everything clean, loading screens fast, driver quotes a nice tough. Love the service park and post rally podium.

Driving wise. Physics seem much more sensitive. Hit a tiny rut and your going over. I'm a seasoned vet of WRC3, and yet this feels totally alien. Graphics look higher resolution, car sounds throatier, in car cam feels much much faster. Only complaint is how sensitive it is to resetting you.

And a final thing: Sardinia The Rally Of 10,000 hairpins

Yeah the presentation is a real good thing. Been saying for ages they should follow their design and format of the SBK and more recently MotoGP 13. Glad they finally did it.

Apparently they are missing from the car list at present - which is a shame as those Group Bs were brilliant fun in WRC 3. Speculation is if these will come in via DLC as they did with WRC 1.
Yeah, I noticed that on their official website. That's why I'm wondering. Not a fan of DLCs at all so that's almost out of question, unless the pricing is reasonable (i.e very cheap).

Having moved last year at the time of WRC3's release and not being able to play the game for two weeks or so after launch, I thought I was prepared this time (moved two weeks ago, got everything in place on day one.)

Seems the fates are still intent on stopping me though. I will be able to play the game when it arrives alright - just can't do the demo in the meantime as BT (ISP) have messed up the connection and it won't be fixed until mid November.

Still, a minor annoyance compared to last year - glad you are all enjoying the demo :)

I had no problems either, I've run two stages multiply times without single slow downs.
I don't have slow downs, what I mean is the framerate is slow all the time. Looks like below 30 fps. I don't have this problem with DIRT games or GT. I remember WRC 3 demo were good as well.

First part of this stage reminds me WRC 3 Demo. Once you practice and find right setup it's really fantastic ride.

Ill always screw up last corner :ouch:

A bit of hype to get you in the mood.

Remember always fasten your seatbelts.

My heart just warmed up to the RED, you put me to DEFCON 1 state :sly:

Jesus it feels so good 👍

Games not out until tomorrow? But my mate on local market who used to be part of a large game shop has it...

So I got WRC4 a day early :D

I had the same thing with WRC 3, with V-sync on even though it said it was 60fps, it had a weird stuttery appearance that made me feel sick. I turned it off and it was fine, but it was a bit screen teary.

First impressions:

Time of day is gorgeous.
Physics are good and for sure more sensitive.
Sound wise, disappointed the tunnel roar effect is gone.
Some stages seem the same, others changed.

I'll race you guys online if you add me by the way (around 70 have got this game early )

I'm hoping this gets released on Steam tomorrow like Green Man Gaming is suggesting.

WRC2 category is epic. 27 drivers, and 7 cars, being a combination if S2000 and Group N categories. Don't remember a Mini in that class in WRC3 either.

I swear the Mini WRC car is nerfed. Feels way more sluggish than before. The WRC2 class Mini though has a mighty 355 newton metres of torque! Cars are very different, one Impreza might have performance differences to the other... And the Proton has the most bizarre engine sound.

If anyone is interested in getting this through Steam, you can buy the key through Green Man Gaming for 25% off.

Use this code: GMG25-GRV7N-YY833

Nice, thanks for that. Have you received and redeemed your code? Can we install it now, or is it a pre-order?

Edit: I decided to just buy it because I was going to anyway, redeemed the code but it came up as 'Steam Sub' and then some numbers and hasn't appeared in my library. I'm sure it'll show once the game has actually been released on Steam, but we can't install it yet.

Ya that's happened to me before when I bought a game that isn't released yet. Whenever it's released on the 25th, it'll show up, you just might have to restart Steam.

So I woke up this morning, checked Twitter, saw the Steam Store account had announced WRC 4's release so I got on the Steam app and started downloading it remotely, by the time I'd finished breakfast it was on 60%. Compared to the old days when games used to come on several floppy disks, I think I prefer this method of installation... In about quarter of an hour I'll be playing.

Same here, I just woke up and checked and there it was. Now I just need to wait till after work to play it :indiff:.

Wow, this is quite the thing. It supports triple monitors (not really that useful considering you're the only car around, but it works wonders for the immersion), H-shifter and clutch AND you can configure the deadzone and linearity of the steering, accelerator and brake. Feedback is good and strong (though I did encounter a glitch where there were only very weak and inversed feedback effects, but it only lasted one stage and I didn't try restarting that stage to see if it would fix it), graphics aren't amazing but are better than WRC 3 (here's a screenshot with 4x MSAA and FXAA enabled), physics are pretty much as in the PS3 demo and yeah, it's a big improvement from WRC 3 and I'm very happy with it.

Who here has the PS3 version? Would love to race some GTP members online.

Hi all,
Got it on pc using G27 no force feedback at all tried slide bar up and down different profiler setting but no luck anyone had this or know a fix ?
Shame coz this is a massive improvement over last years effort and I just wana Rally
