It's a small thing but you can no longer see a full forum member list beyond the top 20 members (gtplanet.net/forum/members/). So you can't for example sort all members by post number which used to be an interesting thing to see for time to time.

You also can't see who else is in the same subforum or thread as you are anymore.

Liking the new site very much. But I kinda agree with @doodlemonoply, it has that social site feeling with the new "status" thing. Overall, it's awesome!

PS: About time you change that avatar, @Kurei

Fantastic job in catering for a mobile audience... not so good for those viewing on a widescreen monitor. I'll be wearing out the scroll-wheel much faster now.

Surely there is a way to have different layouts depending on mobile or PC connection?

Anyone know how to change your thread title? Or is that gone too?
I think Jordan explained how to do it at some point. Check the bugs thread, I think it was in there. IIRC, you have to go into the advanced edit options.

If you're not able to, it looks like the staff still has that option so for the time being, PM one of us and we'll get to it when we can.

Went though that whole thread, nothing.

Will do.

Umm... Where do we go to discuss new articles that are released? That was one of the most immersive things about GTP! I hope it's not cut out completely!

I'm absolutely loving the new GTP Jordan, it enables me to be so much more connected with the people on here.

My hat goes off to everyone that was involved in the project. :D

Most people here don't use facebook so Jordan did something about that *the red evil face*

That will be returning (I believe Jordan mentioned it in the newest blog post), but it will be better integrated with the forum itself from now on 👍

Will there be a new mobile app rolling out? I noticed that people quoted my post in the GTA Online thread, and I got notifications the next time I got on here. That could be very well integrated with iOS and it's push notifications.

Gonna miss the old app though. But I like the new site for the most part.

As half the reason for the site redesign was to negate the necessity of the app, I highly doubt it. That and once you get into the meat of the new site, you see that, short of a few issues here and there, it really is much better. 👍

Whoa. I mean, whoa. I mean........................whoa. I logged on to GTP after a long day and was greeted by GTP12, in all its completely different glory. I was confused, then excited, then even more confused, then even more excited...the process hasn't really ended. It'll be weird having to learn a new layout this drastic for my home on the Internet, but so far I'm loving it. Some great features that just add so much to the experience. Also...it's super slick.

Smileys will return very soon, don't worry about them. 👍
I know...but damn. Was hoping I wouldn't have to keep typing in GTPlanet when I wanted to get on from mobile.
As Slip mentions, simply follow the instructions at https://www.gtplanet.net/app and you'll have an app icon on your home screen for direct access to the site.
@Slashfan Hmm, you shouldn't have to; check www.gtplanet.net/app with Safari, and it'll give you the option to set a home screen app button for GTP. I've done that for now; the only drawback being I can't seem to find a way to make it always open in Chrome.
That's part of iOS, and there's no way to set the default system browser to anything other than Safari. You can always set it as a bookmark in Chrome, though.

Thread Tools (below the thread title at the top of the page) -> Edit Thread

Oh oh, I've been needing to ask you Jordan. Since you've confirmed the smileys will be returning, will there be new smileys as well, or will it remain the same? :)

And who's to say those "members" won't keep "+1" posting even with the 'like' button? :p
Instant perma-ban anyone who still uses "+1", "This.", "Agreed.", etc. to encourage use of the "like" buttons. :P

EDIT: Should we get a universal suggestions thread going to post all the suggestions we have? Now, there's Greyfox widescreen thread -> https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/support-for-wide-screen.289608/ and Toronado made another thread ->
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...ifications-search-options-wysiwyg-etc.289655/

I think it would be better to have all of it in one place.

No, please list any individual comments or suggestions in their own thread. It's very difficult for me to address, note, or respond to comments made in a busy, active, monolithic topic.

Also, just because I don't respond to something doesn't mean I won't read it or consider it (I read everything in the Site Support forum).

Also, most suggestions are either requesting something which I simply haven't got around to enabling here yet, have significant site policy implications which must be carefully considered, or would take days or weeks for me to fully design, test, and implement. That doesn't mean they are bad ideas or that they won't ever happen, but I often won't have an immediately satisfactory response for the one making the suggestion.

Ok, thanks for the response Jordan. 👍

:)

Just to add my opinion on the new software, I think it's massive step forward, it just gives you that new feeling, that feeling when you unwrap your games console from a cardboard box, that feeling just makes it better, not only that but GTP12 is high-tech and very modern, it works well on my BlackBerry(outdated, I know) and I would like to thank Jordan for this, lets keep GTPlanet at the top of it's game!

Must say I do like the new format, it works well though I am having trouble figuring some things out, it came as a big surprise, when I checked the site on my phone and saw the new enormous buttons I thought a separate mobile site had been made or something...

I really dig the lack of a post count under usernames, certainly a lot less intimidating for those who haven't been here long

I kind of disagree with that since when I first joined I looked at someones post count and it give me an instant feel that they had been here at GTP for sometime and could help better in a situation?
Now with the new look at the moment I could be asking a technical question of some regards about Gran turismo series or GTP to a new member and not know it without clicking elsewhere to found out whom am talking with.
