What was the very first GT game you played?

Have ordered GT2 on Ebay yesterday. :D

Even made sure it's a PAL version. :sly:

Time for some nostalgia when both GT1 and GT2 arrives in the next couple days.

dont hold high expectations for graphics and you will have a blast.

Started with GT1 on the first-gen PlayStation, been (happily!) hooked since. :)

No clue as to the very first car I drove; probably a Civic. The car I'd come to use was the Mitsubishi 3000 GT Twin Turbo. Fully upgraded, that car SMASHED everything else on the course. :D
 
Started with gt1 and was blown away by the game, there was and never had been anything like it before, even the intro gave me goose bumps (and still dose). Ive spent years playing every gt to death and I think ive had most fun and put most hours into gt3, I havent played gt3 for a long time now and dont want to spoil the memories of the game as im sure compared to gt5 its looking very dated

I have always thought about buying the earlier ones but never did.:guilty:
Still play GT4 on occasions for a blast:dunce:
I am going to try and find the others now:D
 
Started with GT1 and have been obsessed ever since! Can't believe it's been 15 years!! :) always started GT1 with the mirage cyborg .... Not because it was a good car just because it was called cyborg!
 
Started with GT1 as a 15 year old. Not sure exactly when I purchased it or my first car but I loved it. Favorite race was the Grand Valley 300 KM. GT1 was the game that hooked me and my brother. At the time we were more into oval racing and NASCAR type games and both fell in love with GT.

Bought GT2 at release.
Bought GT3 some months after release when I got to college in 2001 and room mate had PS3.
Bought a PS2 with GT4 in May of 2005 during senior year of college. Played the least of all GT games due to exams and certification exam. Around this time didn't play much video games other than SSX 3 and On Tour. Also didn't play Gt3 all that much compared to other GT's.

Bought GTPSP on release day.
Bought GT5P on release day.
Bought GT5 Collector's Edition on release day.
Repurchased GTPSP digital for use on Vita.
Just received GT5: Academy Edition as gift from German In-laws.:)

Like many people on here, the GT Series has a special place in my heart. It captured my attention in my mid teens and never really let go, even when I wasn't able to play as much as I wanted. It is interesting because I never was a big car guy and wasn't big into racing other than NASCAR at that time. But it is one of those childhood memories that will stick with me forever. The only other games to do that were Sonic but more specifically Sonic and Knuckles, Tomb Raider, and Oddworld Abe's Oddessy and Exodus. I can't believe GT has been in my life for almost 15 years already. Here's to 15 more.:cheers:
 
Ordered a copy of GT2 from ebay earlier..havent played it before..

I actually had a go of GT1 today. :)

And if I'm totally honest, I really ain't up to playing that kind of game (with the less-advanced graphics).
I could totally see the similarities between the old (GT1) and the new (GT5), but I'm just too used to the 21st century to enjoy such a game.

What was the first you bought in your first Gran Turismo game? mine was the Chrysler PT Cruiser in Gran Turismo 3, i looked for a threat like this and i couldn't find one so i decided to make one, if there is one, my mistake. :cheers:
 
Can't remember my cars in one and two, but in GT3 it was a Yaris :D The little thing stormed the Sunday Cup with all its might, never giving in despite younger-me's driving incompetence!

GT4's eludes me also; I never got into GT4 as much as I did 3.

In GT5 it was a DeLorean I was gifted for giggles. Fun ^^
 
GT2: I think some kind of Celica
GT3: PT Cruiser
GT4: Lancer Evo I
GT5: Honda Civic
GT6: Honda Fit (Hyundai Genesis was the first I had the choice for)
 
Nissan Pulsar Gti-R in GT2, 3 and 4. Car wasn't in 5 and I can't remember what I ended up getting, probably an MX-5...

Black MA70 Supra in GT1. That thing is still one of my favorite cars thanks to the game. Every time I start a GT career it's one of the first cars i'll buy. Hopefully own it myself IRL some day.

GT6: Fit RS
 
GT1 Which ever used car you could get for the start money that had the most BHP!
GT2 Nissan Sylvia Q
GT3 MX-5
GT4 Lupo Bronze prize car
GT5 Civic - because I used the Integra in GT5P.
GT6 The mighty FIT :D
 
In 3 it was the Sprinter Trueno. Can't remember 4, but it was probably a used Miata or maybe a Lancer Evo since they're one of my favorite cars. I think in 5 I grabbed a Miata though.
