It’s time for the sun to shine over the UK once again this week in Forza Horizon 4. Series 22 has officially begun, bringing a host of rally themed events and content.
The Series 22 playlist brings a quartet of prizes for 50% and 80% completion, while an iconic, but controversial, Toyota also arrives in the UK. Let’s have a look at what Summer has to offer this week.
Celica Hits The Dirt Running
Summer season Playlist prizes are led by the 1967 Ferrari P4. Built to counter the Ford GT40, this Prancing Horse helped create one of the most iconic rivalries in racing. Powering the P4 is a 4.0-liter V12 packing 450hp, which only had to push along 2,200lb of car. That helped the P4 to hit 200mph.
Satisfying the rally theme is the Volkwagen Global Rallycross Beetle. This extreme racer is one of the wildest Beetles created. Featuring a 1.6-liter, turbocharged engine, the Beetle puts out 536hp to all four wheels. With super short gearing, the Beetle will easily tackle short sharp race courses.
Playlist completion prizes include the Ford Mustang RTR Spec 5 and the Mercedes W154. Seasonal championship prizes include the Porsche 550 Spyder, and the return of the Renault Clio RS16 Concept.
The main event comes in the form of the 1994 Toyota Celica GT-Four. One of the most iconic rally cars of all time, the ST205 Celica has become a highly sought-after classic. With a 2.0-liter, turbocharged engine and 255hp, the Celica is still quick even today. However, its dominant rally pedigree would soon be overshadowed by Toyota’s infamous cheating scandal in 1995.
If you want to experience the Celica, you’ll have to win the “What’s The Word on The Street?” championship.
For this month’s Rivals event, you can get an early go in the Ford Racing Puma around the Moorhead Wind Farm Circuit.

Finally, charge for victory and win 3 Dirt Racing Series events to wrap up this week’s challenges.
The shop lineup this week has a broad mix of metal. Leading the way is the 2019 Ferrari 488 Pista. Sitting at the top of Ferrari’s V8 road car lineup, the Pista continues the extreme evolution of Maranello’s track-focused berlinettas.
Ferrari has slashed the weight by nearly 200lb, and boosted the power from the 3.9-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 to 711hp. Along with a host of suspension and aerodynamic upgrades, the Pista provides a real poke in the eye to its rivals.
You’ll need a hefty 650 Forzathon Points for the Pista. If you missed it’s previous appearance in Series 19, now is the time to grab one.
Joining it is the 1973 Renault Alpine A110. This rally star was one of the first winners of the World Rally Championship. With a lightweight design, agile handling and a rear-engine layout, the A110 became an icon. A 1.6-liter engine powers the A110, but even with just 123hp, it should prove to be huge fun.
The Alpine will set you back 450 FP. If you’re after a slice of rallying history, or you’re dissatisfied with the modern A110, then the original is there for the taking.
Avatar cosmetics this week are the Classic Top Hat and the Aviator Glasses.
