After announcing the details of Season 1 last week, Turn 10 launches the Forza Racing Championship today. This week focuses on the 2015 Mustang GT, with Elite Series players heading to Monza in search of the fastest single lap time, while Open Series drivers will take to a variety of tracks in the Leagues event.

The fastest 128 racers in the Elite Series will qualify for the knockout-style, 1-on-1 tournament to be held on Saturday. The remaining top 16 from that day will go on to a Twitch-broadcasted final race the following day, where the top four will win prizes and qualify for the Grand Finale next month, where the winner will receive a set of keys to a real-world Focus RS.

Every single FM6 player that posts a time in the current Rivals event will receive a 1973 Ford Escort RS1600 in their digital garage.

The big news is in the Open Series, where players will be able to snap up multiple DLC collections. For the first week, the Car Pass is up for grabs for all players that finish in the top half of the League standings. As a refresher, that’s the following 42 cars:

Thanks Jason. I did the Monza Rivals TT a few days ago….and no Escort has turned up yet. Also to get access to the Leagues I need to be a XBL Gold member so that means I have to justify paying 6 quid for one car! If the Escort is only obtainable via the League then I suppose that would make it more worth it. I know they will both be in FH3, but I’d like to try them on FM6’s tracks as well.
PS. Please don’t mention all the other ‘Wonderful’ benefits I’ll get as well for going Gold, because I just don’t want any of them.

To get the Falcon you need to finish at least 1 league race and I think you just need to set a time in the rivals event to get the Escort.
