Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races: Vision Quest

Gran Turismo 7’s latest set of Daily Races is now available, with new events for the next week including the second rotation of special World Finals events.

That’s Race A, which starts off with a challenge based on the EMEA Regional Finals. It’s a five-lap race at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, using the Lamborghini Vision Gran Turismo. If you don’t yet own the car, you can rent one for the event.

You’ll have the option of using Racing Medium or Racing Soft tires for the race, but even on 4x tire wear — so each lap generates four laps’ worth of wear — there’s no need to use the Mediums at all.

It’s also a “No DR/SR” event, as usual, meaning that you won’t gain or lose Driver or Sportsmanship Rating points for this race. You will though earn 6x the usual credits for the race.

Update: As of December 2 this is now a six-lap race around Interlagos using the McLaren MP4/4 — similar to the Americas Regional Finals.

Race B this week heads to the “short” version of the Fuji International Speedway, although it’s a little bit of a misnomer. This layout changes the Dunlop Chicane into a fast right-hander.

It’s a free-choice Gr.4 event this week, with standard Racing Hard tires, so just pick your favorite — and all-wheel drive — car from the class and go racing over the four-lap sprint.

Finally we have Race C which takes in the game’s newest circuit, Road Atlanta, in one of the more enjoyable cars to drive in the game.

You’ll be using the Mazda Roadster Touring Car for the 12-lap race, and it’s a pure sprint from the grid start — and watch out for the false-start check — to the checkered flag. Neither tire wear nor fuel consumption will be a factor, so strap on the Racing Hard tires and have fun!

In order to access the Daily Races, you’ll need to unlock Sport Mode, by completing Menu Book 9 (“Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade”) in the GT Cafe single player hub.

With GT7’s Daily Races updating every Monday thus far, the next new set should arrive on Monday December 5.
