GT Sport Time Trials: One Vision, and a Gr.4 Shootout

There’s two new challenges available for you over the next two weeks in the GT Sport Time Trial mode.

If you’re not familiar with Time Trial mode yet, it’s a hotlap competition that sees you try to set the fastest possible lap time in the world. There’s no regions here like in Sport Mode, just a straight shoot-out with everyone on Earth.

The two events for the next fortnight both feature race cars, but of very different types. For the first event you’ll be using the fictional Gr.1 version of the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo Concept. This is the car that previewed what the Bugatti Chiron would look like, but in Gr.1 form it’s a race car intended to take on the very fastest Le Mans Prototypes. Appropriately enough, you’ll be trying to set your fastest lap at the Le Mans track, or the Circuit de la Sarthe.

For the second event there’s a bit of an unusual format. In most of the Time Trials we’ve seen so far, you’ve needed to use the same car as everyone else. This time you get to choose any of your Gr.4 race cars from your garage, to set a lap time around the new Sardegna Road Track, in the reverse direction of the B configuration. You’ll have almost free rein over your car’s settings, with one exception: BOP is turned on for the event.

The time trials will run through to November 7, with two further time trial events to replace them.
