Has anyone else thought that this guy who has his hand on the game is a little to good at the track, even new ones like Cape ring? a few people are throwing around the theory that its part of a viral ad campain by Sony… pretend someones nicked a copy and he’s ‘leaking’ videos and info. I mean look how much buzz this has created, you think there would be this much if they put up a tv ad?

yeah there is that, but then again you can get away with so much more with internet ad campains than you can say on TV… and its really only a quick flash and almost sillouette… I dunno it all just seems to easy for this guy to ‘steal’ a copy of an unreleased game, then parade the evidence of his crime all over the net, not only that his PS3 is hooked up to the net so tracking the only people who are getting GT5 trophies would be a piece of cake… yet there he is, bold as brass

is it me or there are drainage areas at the edges of the track at around 2:34 . was it in gt4 already or its in gt5 to accommodate for the rain system?.
Indeed, I do hate this guy, whoever he is, and whatever the reason he do have the game and I still do not.
I am so happy that you get experience for doing license tests. I usually do those first and I’m going to be getting all gold (though it might take a good month or two of work to get there). So hopefully, Most cars will be somewhat unlocked by the end of the S license. Also, i could hear him fighting with his wheel, which makes it seem like it surely won’t be that easy to get gold. Apparently that Z4 can be a bit of a handful.
What do mean most cars unlocked by the end of S license? One could argue that it takes an entire lifetime to purchase all cars. There should be freebies along the way for finishing certain events, but it’s almost impossible to have all cars after a year of playing.
I am talking about a real month eg 60 to 70 days. Not ingame days if thats what threw you.

I’ve only played GT5P which had no license tests.
@ Yeti I tottaly agree, he hit cars and walls… I liked better gt4’s touch and lose system, although overtaking so many cars and losing if they touch you too would be unfair. I play Tourist Trophy now where even in normal races, touching the grass means 10sec penalty, and because it hits the brakes hard it causes you to fall from the bike! thats strict rules.
Have to say that this is the first GT5 gameplay video I’ve seen to date that really gets me excited and looking forward to it’s release.
It sounds silly but it just seems to flow so nicely and looks very sweet.
Definitely less harsh rules on the tests, the big whack of the rock face at 1:04 would be an instant fail in previous games, it felt like sometimes touching a blade of grass in GT4 gave you a fail.
Strangely, we haven’t seen any type of damage yet, have we?

Looks great and makes me even more glad I got the G27 over the G25. Those wheel sounds would get old.

My G25 doesn’t make that sound. I bet it’s either the Logitech Driving Force GT or the Driving Force Pro.

Chase cam, i honestly don’t know how people can control the car by following behind it, weird to me, but to each his own.
You get used to every view eventually. A few years back I used chase cam with every racegame. Driving with bumper cam felt very weird back then. Now, I use bumper cam or cockpit all the time, and going back to chase cam feels very weird. It’s just a matter of what you’re used to. :)
I used this view since GT1, but then I was in a nationwide championship and the I had to use the bumper cam (due to championship regulations), and now I am not able to use that one anymore…I think if you are using a controller is not that hard, but with the steering wheel…no way

Is it me or do the standard quality cars look very bad in this video? Notice the overtaking of first red mercedes. The roof/side window line is very jaggy :(
