New Trailer for ‘The Grand Tour’ Teases a Familiar Formula

If you are the slightest bit like the crew here at GTPlanet, you have already dreamt of teaming up with a few cronies for a no-holds-barred cruise around the globe, driving whatever and wherever your fancy desires. And, if like us, those dreams are no closer to reality, then it’s time to live vicariously through the white-knuckle antics of three petrolheads playing out that very fantasy.

Announced to launch on the Amazon Prime Video streaming service next month, “The Grand Tour” has a new sneak peak at some of the gorgeous automobiles, stunning scenery, and downright ridiculousness viewers can expect during the cinematic road trip.

“What could possibly go wrong?” reads an on-screen caption, followed by a scene showing an SUV obliterated by tank artillery.

For followers of the former BBC hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May, it should come as no surprise that “The Grand Tour” looks to mix adrenaline-filled driving sequences with a fair share of tomfoolery and mayhem.

The trailer concludes with footage of Clarkson stalling the Aston Martin Vulcan — a recognizable vehicle for those who picked up the recently released Smoking Tire Car Pack for Forza Horizon 3.

Slated for 12 episodes, new chapters of “The Grand Tour” will be released each Friday, beginning Nov. 18, and can be watched by Amazon Prime subscribers via any device which supports the Amazon Video app.

For those who want a chance to see the show in person, live recordings for future episodes of the first season are open to the public by application only. Next up on the itinerary: Whitby, England. For information on how to apply, visit the show’s official Facebook page.

I really missed this group of goof balls. They were so much fun. I will make the arrangements to watch this every Friday.

TomBrady, you’re right don’t go by the leftist media propaganda about The Donald.

The right is doing a much better job of trashing him. LMAO.

Epic. Can’t wait. New Top Gear is trash, but thankfully the real top gear is still alive with the 3 stooges. And it seems they have more freedom now too.

I wonder if they’ll be censored on the Grand Tour? It’s on Amazon Prime, so it would be great if they could speak freely instead of being censored by the fascists at the BBC, worried about political correctness and cursing.

It was about time… the 23rd season of TG has not been so bad, but this three old fools are simply amazing; i can say they are some kind of friends of mine. :D

@Jus1029 – you’ve got the point, absolutely; all the franchise is about driving and personality; Harris have them A LOT, LeBlanc, not so much (in driving), but he’s a nice guy, and worth have him in the show; Reid is the one with the wider point of view, not a simple petrol head; Chris Evans is the leading conductor, but… that’s all.

Amazing how these guys can give an entire broadcasting station a middle finger, get picked up by a new one, and by the looks of it, still be hilarious. Glad TG will still live on thru GT ^-^

Can’t wait, following every bit of news from this. I’m a massive fan of those guys for years, re-watching everything every now and then… and by the looks of it, it’ll be a lot bigger!

Thanks but Trump got the racist, entitled, good old boys entertainment section covered for my part. Enjoying US Top Gear much more at the moment.

You need to go back to school. Trump’s not said anything racist at all. Stop believing the leftist media’s propaganda.
