Sony Europe has included GT6 in their “February PlayStation Store” sale, reducing the price of the digital version of the game from £49.99/€59.99 to £29.99/€39.99 through February 12, 2014, along with a wide collection of other titles.

What a week this has been, evolution has become a recurring topic of interest for GT6 not only in the Rewind but the entirety of the news page here at GTPlanet and this past Tuesday Update 1.04 was released providing continual proof that Gran Turismo 6 is a game with a clear intent: to evolve. There are now four new vehicles to race to your hearts content, but the big news – or should I say bigger news is tomorrow is the first of February which means GT6 is preparing to undergo evolution once again. It’s a cycle that’s seemingly never-ending.

GT6 Update 1.04 Brings Red Bull X Challenges, AMG Vision Racing Series & More

The fourth update for Gran Turismo 6 is now available, and it brings with it the Corvette Stingray Gran Turismo Concept that was first shown at SEMA 2013, the second half of the Red Bull X Challenge events which also adds the “Gran Turismo Red Bull X2014 Standard” and “Gran Turismo Red Bull X2014 Fan Car” to the in-game dealership, as well as the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo Racing Series, which is a separate version of the previously released AMG Vision vehicle that is “optimized for the competitive racing scene”.

On this Wednesday, January 29th, WRS Online will continue to support the online racing platform of GT6, hosting our first official weekly race event on GT6. The Week 1 WRS Time Trial provides the platform for this race. This exciting event features a car that’s brand new to the GT series, the Audi S1 quattro Pikes Peak Courtesy Car, on a returning favorite Original Circuit, Apricot Hill. The races are open to anyone listed in the GTP_Registry.

GT Academy Champion Bryan Heitkotter Takes on Daytona CTSCC Race

2011 US GT Academy winner Heitkotter is making his Daytona Speedway racing debut in support of the 2014 United SportsCar Championship Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona competing in the Continental Sports Car Challenge “Daytona Rising 200.” He will be piloting the Skullcandy Nissan Altima Coupe along with Vesko Kozarov in the Street Tuner (ST) category. Bryan’s last professional race was back in September when he ran a Nissan GT-R in the Pirelli World Challenge GT Class. He has achieved much success running in CTSCC previously with the Doran Racing 370Z, this will be the first race for him in the front-wheel drive Altima racecar.
