    Will there be tire deformation like in Forza? I hope they add a feature that will allow us to see the camber and tire temps in real time.

    Shame the only cars we get to see with damage are the rally spec cars. Lets hope that’s because they’re working on damage and once that’s done the game will be ready to release!
    The Mini in the picture is a modified version of the original 2001 style BMW Mini Cooper S, which is in Prologue. I wonder if they’ll put the new 2006 onwards style Mini Cooper S in GT5?
    Also, is the Mini using slick tyres?

    so heres a quick edit… these are the cars in the picture of that focuses on the dodge viper (acr):
    black car on very left is a corvette, white car behind that is ford gt, then the viper, then the mercedes sls amg, then the gt by citroen, and (i think i’ve only seen this once before) the slr mclaren/edit sl55, then the audi r8 but the last car is too blurred. if you want me to try and make out any other cars i’ll try my best.
    and spec miada about the car in front of the suzuki i may be completely wrong but those light shapes look like a skodas so maybe a skoda rally car?

    The car in the front is the Corvette ZR1, damn, you guys call yourselfs “auto enthusiasts” yet can’t make out simple details?

    The wheels give it away and the port holes next to front fender.

    That Mini is just a standard R53 Cooper S with (what appears to be) generic extras from the game. The JCW Challenge cars have an Aero kit – which this screenshot doesn’t show. Also, the link that was posted above is the new R56 model (which I hope is in the game too!) However, the decals look very similar to the red mini that was spotted at one of the earlier shows, so maybe the decals and livery can only be applied as in GT2 where a set livery has been already designed.

    The rear of the mini Pic loks fantastic. In fact although these shots “could” have been rendered has anyone considered that these are from a New and vastly improved photomode? This is one of the things I do look forward to in GT5 but these shots look fantastic. I will be using that as wallpaper on the PS3 in the next hour or so!!

    I think that’s the Lexus JGTC car, but I’m not gonna lie, I thought it was a Mustang too, till I looked at the color schemes. The image with the red ACR, I think is the front of that yellow/blue car.

    No, that doesn’t mean animated windscreen wipers, in this type of car the wiper is always in that position at rest because of wind drag….

    Racecarman: he is righ about the SHIT shadows pd have! I rather have no shadows on the car then have gridded blocks of shade on a beautiful car!

    It ruins it for me. Hope they smoothed it out a bit, but from the demo’s at ces etc they look so fkn bad. Specially on Tokyo. Not to mention nurburgring

    LSL pull our head put of ASS, there is no game on the planet that looks as good as this,i’ve tried all the racing games ( PS3, X-box, PC ) the only thing better about pc racing sims. are the communities for the games making new mods

    I’ve seen the car in the link, but the it would just say “Mini JCW Challenge” or something like that. Also, notice the spoiler ;). It’s a good point the one you have though, but it’s really intriguing the fact that there’s no Cooper S in the world like this particular one.

    These have been airbushed I reckon??? It’s to clean and shiny imo, hope it does but yah dunno, same as that new Toyota video, don’t think we will have that smoke but would be nice.

    spectacular Renderings – I’m really amazed . beautiful deep cueing, and a Ultra Clean Race, not much polluting going on in GT5.. besides creating it, and running it :O)

    It’s goingto be very interesting to see how, GT5 will coop with a Massive highspeed Crash between 5-7 Cars, and Wow not to forget —> Safety Car while clean Up ?

    I can’t seem to find any pics of that particular one. But I’m very positive it’s a either the factory tuned version of the Mini Cooper S, or a touring car of some sort.

    I think the game was done in september, but the fans are not happy about the damage, that 35 procent is full damage, physx , weather , polishing

    are you guys watching the same pictures as me?

    i can see jaggies (very little ofc), but these are the 8MP pictures, with good knows how many AA (16 at least)

    the game’s going to be 1,3MP, @FULLHD render, and it will only have 2xAA, so imagine that.

    i was absolutly amazed by the prologue graphics, looking at the trailers, youtube ingame hd shoots, up until i just couldn’t wait any longer, last week i bought a ps3, and a prologue.
    I was generally SHOCKed, is this the “better than reality” grapics?, i mean, so many jaggies, it was almost ugly. You can clearly see, that the lighting is perfect, the models are so detailed, they can use them in gt6, i’m sure, the textures generally amazing, and the render fucks up everything. I was watching it only @32″ FULLHD, 1m viewing distance, but still. Great graphics, but the 3 year old console just can’t have that much rendering power…

    i rly don’t want to be a PC fanboy, i know it’s more expensive etc, but almost pains me to say this, but @ big screen, Shift looked better, with it’s “shitty” models and textures, but at least i could give it 2MP render with 8xAA, and it made a hell of a difference.

    i know prologue is 2 year old now, gt5 will have much better graphics, But in my oppinion it will only be 1280×1080 2xAA with AMAZiNG models, but from a distance, the are UGLY

    It could just be the angle of the picture, but does the car infront of the Viper look very suspicious? It could be the ZR1, but to me it looks more like a Zonda or Koenigsegg. Just a thought, I don’t know if the ‘vette has a wraparound windscreen.

    It’s not a livery editor, it’s a tuned package you can buy with the Mini. In other words, a normal mini is to the tuned mini, as shown above, as a dodge viper is to the ACR viper.

    #Corey, I think the same. The license plate and the badge say “Cooper S”, so it’s not any specially tuned version or a factory racing special or anything by the sort. Also, the graphics on it are quite simple (Couple of numbers, circles, a UK flag on the roof, and a couple of racing checkers). It also has a custom carbon fiber rear wing, much like the ones you installed to stock cars in GT4 but the rest of the bodykit looks quite stock-ish. Interesting…

    Anyone else think that the shot of the cooper s gives a good hint at a livery editor? Strange designs if not. Even stranger as it has a Union Jack flag on the back windows but no drivers name, just GT/ polyphony digital logos.

    There is obvious pixelated images on the cars, but otherwise they are great.

    I wouldn’t call these NEW, but just higher res of the ones we saw not too long ago.
