Finally got it. I got the BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car ’97, I must say that I am quite happy with what it gave me.
The Ring? 600pp on slippery sports tyres, one tiny wheel on the grass and its a red lap time….
…Aint no one got time for that… Well I know I cant be bothered wrestling with a powerful car on the wrong tyres because they dont know how to make a seasonal properly challenging
Think about it, no one races and thinks I’ll make the target times easily doable… but to make it hard you’ll be driving on gripless tyres!
Why not just make the target times faster, forcing the driver to push that little bit more… not slap DS owners in the face for not playing with a wheel…
I grow tired of these useless tyres on powerful cars…

Ok no DLC then how about you just unlock the rest of the cars you locked in the first place and unlock the RM ability you locked on the rest of the cars all at once instead of doing it every 2or3 months and calling it DLC hehe
Don’t know where you got idea that there are locked cars on the game. No cars are locked. All non DLC cars are available for use either through Premiulm Dealer, OCD (Standard), or UCD, and the various Level and or Birthday tickets. Please get your facts straight. If you have proof that there are locked cars, then list those cars and prove it instead of trolling about DLC or lack thereof.

@nascarfn Dude do you have to post this over and over again. No matter how many times you post this suggestion, PD has no plans for a truck DLC, and the majority here doesnt want them to commit to trucks over cars. Not to mention no event modes are programmed into game for such a thing. (well the one mode but thats it thats all) PD didn’t give you or anybody the idea they were committed to a truck line at no time in this GranTurismo series of games, so either play what you got or quit but dont get hopes up of ever seeing a truck line up in GT5. For all that, given a choice, majority would probably want MotorCycles over dually trucks anyday.
Oh yeah since the trucks you want never existed on GT4, which is where the Standard lineup of vehicles came from, common sense says that those trucks would be of the Premium variety.

What ticket do you get for bspec?
lvl 23 mostly 20 million dollar cars.
Level 23 gives quite a few good race cars around 5 million and the 2J for 15 million but the 20 million cars aren’t level 23 cars.
Shoulda put 2milliion plus cars not 20 million, but had ticket for a year now and didnt purchase any of the cars cuz I dupe it. Sorry for bad information. good catch CDJW. :)

Don’t get your hopes up. Maybe a minor update with bug fixes, but we got that maintenance back on the 4th of April, and nothing really came of it.
Don’t count on that. This is just a server maintenance, not really a game update.
but it just seems too coincidental that it falls on the day before the playstation store update. I guess we’ll just have to wait and find out. We also haven’t got photo stream yet.

The 4th of April was on a Wednesday. This maintenance which is on the 22nd, is on a *Tuesday*. Like I said. I’m happy it’s on a Tuesday, nuff said.

It doesn’t matter when maintenance is… I only stated (several months back) that I had noticed a pattern with the DLC – it was coming out on the third tuesday of the month it was released each time. Who knows? maybe they’re releasing a GT Academy pack for the recent 4 rounds of GT Academy, if anything at all. As stated, it could just be server maintenance. If ANY DLC (likely with Twin Ring Motegi) is released, I’d expect it to come out in June after GT Academy ends. There’s GOT TO be SOMETHING coming, eventually, for the NSX and PhotoStream are still floating around somewhere, and now Twin Ring Motegi is in GT Academy.

Why can’t some of you understand it’s just for maintenance?
If it was for DLC they would notify us and the game would need updating for that as well. They haven’t even notified us of that either.
I suspect we will get one more lot of DLC, not including the cars from the 2012 academy, say as spec “3” and then their main focus will be GT6. Of course Seasonals and server updates would be as standard. You have to realise this November this game would be two years old, there’s only so much of it that can be updated . Yeah some of you will still believe that your going to get DLC in an online maintenance update but your look the idiot.
GTA is not just a game to find new world class racing drivers. it is also to recruit new users to the GT5 racing simulator…
the assumption that GT5 is not totally up-gradable in every aspect is for idiots..as for being notified we have never been notified of any future plans…what is it with this gt6 thing? whats going to be in it that cant be added to GT5…if you want to scrap your 2 year driving career and start again..then Forza 10 may be for you…D.L.C is the future and has been since before GT5 was released…wake up were here already.

I know that you said that there was a pattern of DLC being on the 3rd tuesday of every month. But that happens to be this tuesday. So is it just a coincidence or are we getting something like photo stream or GTA cars?

That’s why I think it’d be coming out next month; all sorts of perfect timing – GT Academy ending, maybe new players along with it, and Le Mans 24 hrs. Plus, GT Academy started in April, so let’s examine the “2 month schedule”:
1st DLC: October
(2 months later)
2nd DLC: December
(1 month later)
3rd DLC: January (1 month early)
(3 months later)
4th “DLC” (of sorts) GT Academy: April (averages back to the “2 month schedule”)
(2 months later)
5th DLC (or 4th, if you don’t want to call GT Academy DLC): June
It all fits the “2 month schedule”. I’m not saying that there IS a schedule (a lot of people think that PD PROMISED DLC every 2 months, for some reason – there never really WAS a static schedule for DLC), I’m just observing a trend, and predicting outcomes. GT Academy took me by surprise, and sort of angered me (and some other users) since they didn’t announce it as the REASON for a delayed update/DLC. I never said it was the 3rd tuesday of EVERY MONTH, just that it seemed to come out on the third Tuesday of the month it was released.
This update will likely include PhotoStream, maybe the NSX, but that may be for DLC. I’m expecting Motegi to be in some sort of track DLC. Maybe GT Academy cars, but that doesn’t make much sense, saying as (so far) they’re all just cars already in game with a GT Academy sticker on the side. I don’t know about you, but I think that there’s got to be more than just this coming; considering that there was supposed to be a a “March update”, likely with DLC on the side. I may be wrong, but we could be seeing a decent sized DLC/Update next month.

Ok I can understand that. But I think that if they were going to give us the NSX concept, it would be free like the Toyota GT86 I don’t think PD would be that cruel to make us pay for 1 car.

They are long because the game is bad at passing cars. B spec is twice as many laps as A spec. Without the extra length the game would only get the best finish as 6th or 5th as the top top, no matter what. So its good its long but bad that the game cant drive.

Well… yeah… you reduce PP by lowering HP… unless you mean something else…

The GT500 Nürburgring race was easy money. If anyone is have a hard time beating it, try using the ’05 YELLOWHAT Supra, I beat it in one try.

The only thing good about new BSpec this week, is a new ASpec next week. Hoping PD follows up this sweet BSpec event for my DOA Bob with a sweeter version for me.
Monaco is great TT. Challenging to manipulate its comfy confines for best ( and cleanest lap) in the Formula Ferraris.
Would really love more one class races for these cars, as I have both but they barely see light of day.

In Australia seasonals come out at 2pm(used to back when) i loved getting into the top 10 then go to bed ,get up,add a few more zero’s to my ranking :)
Haven’t played this game since a couple months after launch, but I’m getting my copy of GT5 XL tomorrow, and looking forward to some good Nurburgring action :) Not so much to the F1 race around Monaco though lol. Is that still the GT4 port of Monaco, or did they ever get around to doing a current gen version of it?
They either did or didn’t get around to doing a current gen version of it. I can’t remember.
So far as I can remember no update has officially had any improvements for Monaco I.e. Its not been mentioned in the release notes of any update but it does look slightly less crappy than it did at the very beginning but then maybe I’ve just become accustomed to it now so don’t notice it anymore.
Combining B-Spec, Time Trials, and Drift Trials into single day releases? I’m starting to feel like somebody over at Polyphony may be listening! :) If so, cheers! If they can keep oscillating between these and various traditional A-Spec days, I’d be the happiest GT player ever!

May be a freeze; sometimes in Arcade mode, the load bar increases abnormally slow, and it’ll reach the end, and nothing will happen. It’s a weird glitch.

@RobDoggy05 work on getting a lvl 24 ticket ( Formula GranTurismo F1,Both Ferrari Formula Race cars ) you get at least 1 of the three and keep some cash, but only if you still need any of them, and you may have to duplicate for best chances.

Ya for ones they are doing something in this Game, which is only a natural thing to do. Hope they keep it up as far as they can – So we don’t have to Drive other Nice Race games to feel that you are just a little part of something real, that in the first place made you interested in Race sims.. Hmm Wishful Thinking again.. DoH!!
I was jumping into GT5 last weekend to race F1-10 on Circuit de Catalunya – But No – I forget that GT5 is only a ½ Game :P

absoluely. This is good stuff although I’m a bit dissapointed I can’t have another go at that awesome snow rally TT we had last time. That was a blast. They really need to do more with rally and F1, karts, nascar, etc.
Honestly I’m far more excited about these seasonals (other than the stupid b spec) than I am about GT academy. I haven’t done some of the GTA tests, but I’ll go at these TT’s right away. F1s on monaco beat 370z’s on anything anyday
We need more endurance A-Spec time trials.
I just wonder how many players can stay a 10 round Nürburgring TT ON the track. Let’s say FR car, 500 pp., no tuning whatsoever, no aids and sport soft :)
I would prefer 5 laps at Spa with comfort soft, 500 pp car, no mods, brake balance allowed, no assists allowed including brake aids for the ultimate test and this is the only way to get the gold. Silver and Bronze will have their own time and aids allowed to cater the casual player
Or maybe significantly higher rewards for getting medals with less aids on, or cars with lower PP than the limit. (Or both). But more over, I’d like longer A-Spec races, somewhere around the 30 – 50 mile length range. 50 Miles is about 6 laps of Sarthe, or 3 laps of the Nordschleife, just for reference.
10 laps to get my best lap when only the fastest lap counts? Maybe for an ASpec race but to much for a TT cuz once you hit fastest lap, and burn off tires ( This is The Nuringberg Ring so even Comforts will burn off bout 5 laps in ) you gonna stop.
Day to Night 24 Min ASpec of any various pp or tire and restrictions at Lesarthe 09 or 05, maybe even throw in weather. Im sure they could use time progression in this way to challenge us a lil more. Maybe 2 events one D2N and the other Rain.
Shoot, I’d take 30 laps at Lady Le Mans!!!
