Gran Turismo 5‘s latest Seasonal Events have just gone live, which feature “Italian Non-Racecars” in new Time and Drift Trials. Here’s a closer look at the new events:

I don’t care for drifting (to each their own, ‘ey) but the tires are way to slippery imo.

1 new seasonal B-Spec event is available today, and the OCD has been updated. Unfortunately, the new OCD update is sloppy like the last one. I swear, I must of saw every standard BMW in the game right there.

What going on here? Everyday I check here and no news about DLC…….maybe I think some message are right wait for April because we got DLC early in Jan….maybe? I am hoping to scan Bathurst hehehe.

Why an I seeing people compre Forza 4 and GT5? You have to remember that Forza 4 came out in October 2011 and GT5 came out in early 2010. GT5 is still running off older technology and are trying to update it AND working on GT6. They are obviously cery busy. Also, Porsche just got free of thier contact with EA so they are possibly trying to scan some of their models like Turn10 studios is doing with Forza. Remember I said POSSIBLY so don’t get your hopes up. Gran Turismo has never had any Porsche models throughout their history, only RUF. So we may not see any in GT5 but you never know. Also, Kazunori Yamauchi, head of Gran Turismo said that DLC would be released approximately every 2 months. The first DLC was in October, second in December, following the 2 month schedule. The third DLC was released in January, ahead of schedule. So if there is no DLC this moth, we would be back on the original schedule, so I’m not surprised that there has been no DLC this month. It would be nice if we were more informed.

GT5 didn’t come out early 2010… it came out in November of 2010… Forza 4 came out 11 months after GT5, so that isn’t a big difference from where you come from. It matters when the game’s development started; GT5 was started around 2005, and Forza 4 was started around 2008-2009… so yes, you could say new technology, but that doesn’t really matter… GT5 used a new engine or “technology”, and thats what took so long, plus PD’s much smaller (140ish people) development team. Forza 4 was using the same engine as its predecessors, and was therefore much easier to develop with familiar technology… not to mention Turn 10 has about 400 workers… Otherwise, most of what you said was correct…

thank you for correcting those. I was accidentally referring to the propsed release date in March 2010 but Kaz said that was too early and the game wouldn’t of been completed in time in an interview with Auto Express in April 2010. Im just saying that people shouldn’t be comparing the 2 games because (and you mentioned this as well), that Turn10 studios has about 400 workers compared to PD’s 140ish. So Turn10 obviously had it easier to work on their game.

I think they’ve learned a lesson. They don’t want to build up any hype because you know what happened with GT5s launch. HUGE hype, and huge disappointment for many people. So they keep everything quiet and calm until everythying is 100% sure.

I really find it astonishing that some people post comments bout how they can’t wait no longer for dlc WTF i played this game nearly every night since it came out and love the game as much as the next person but come on fellaz let them do there job sure they said march for the update but last time i checked there was still 4 days left. If April arrives with no update then its time to kick ass

Yes, this is definitely taking too long for word on up coming news of any sort whether its for DLC or even something else. I’m done waiting! I’ll be moving on to something else for now. Seems like the only thing to look forward to would be GT6. Even if something relevant happens I will probably hear about it somewhere else. I’m just really bored of checking here everyday, for nothing !!!

Like Toko said…. Just keep us informed. Alot of the negativity is based on lack of knowledge. If it’s going to be late tell us, if not tell us as well. It doesn’t take more than 5 min just to post an update once a week on the official site.

I am trying to share my idea to gran truismo for the next update about having a better and more realistic sound and gear changes to the Lamborghini aventador and also have more cars such as the BMW m5 f10 the Ferrari FF the Ferrari f12 berlinetta and the new dodge viper but I am unable to do so because contacting gran truismo has been really difficult so please I would be grateful if someone did on my behalf :)
