Polyphony Digital Welcomes Press, Interviews Begin

polyphony-digital-studios-tour-4

Since Kazunori Yamauchi announced the Japanese release date on Thursday, the news has been met with a wide range of emotions, from elation, relief, to anger. The drama forming around Gran Turismo 5 is boiling over like never before, and all eyes will be on Yamauchi’s next interviews. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long, as Polyphony Digital has welcomed several groups of journalists over to their studios for tours, taking questions along the way. One site, GameSpot, is taking a bold move by actually inviting their readers to recommendquestions for Yamauchi-san – you can take advantage of the opportunity by leaving a note in their comments right here.

GameSpot’s interview is expected to be published on Saturday (September 26), though other interviews will not be revealed until Monday. For now, here’s some of the latest pictures from inside Polyphony’s headquarters (don’t miss the Xbox 360 and a copy of NFS Pro Street) which are already making their way on to the web via GamesBlog. Keep checking back right here for analysis and evaluation of each interview as soon as they hit the wire. As always, thanks to everyone who let me know about these foreign interviews.

watch the french video on gameblog… there a section with nordeschiele pixelated out… we all know its in the game.. but why blur that one scene? i predict rain

  2. bobmcgee

the interview was conducted yesterday not published. We’ll probably see the interviews tomorrow. Let’s hope we get a NA/Europe release date.

NEED 4 SPEED PROSTREET DANG IT LMFAO he’s staring at it, so fazed..”THIS CRAP IS STILL FUN !?” I would stomp on all that l0l0l0l

  4. chris

im intrigued why gt psp has 35 tracks with 70 variations. and gt 5 has 20 tracks with 70+ variations?id expect a tonne of dlc tracks if thats the case. not that i mind. if you get say 3/5 tracks for a tenner providing they support weather/day/night.

id be very suprised if the variations arent weather. dry/wet/day/night. and the interview is to show it.

  5. Gar

Maybe you English readers should ask a native Japanese speaker to translate for you…. since it seems a lot of gaming journalists these days rely on shoddy Japanese translation, and seem to get the wrong information from the mistranslation. 20 Tracks? Are you being serious? For some reason 20 different locales automatically equals 20 Tracks? Some people need to pull up a dictionary or recalibrate their thinking processes.

You know what a major announcement is? Finally telling us a release date, showing that pretty SLS on stage, and letting us know the 458 and SLS are drivable in-game and is not part of some shady costly DLC.

  6. Stevo

@DaveTheStalker I don’t think my post above is still awaiting moderation but IGN have released a preview focussing on damage: http://au.ps3.ign.com/articles/102/1028707p1.html They state that all cars have damage, only the race models have full damage and the normal cars have deformation damage i.e. scratches. however, ALL CARS have engine damage :).

On a side note regarding release date there was a post on the IGN article by a user stating that they work in the industry and knew %100 that GT5 was to release on dec 4th, i think, sony wanted it to come out this year, however the user speculates that it must be the complaints by people regarding damage that has pushed it back. Wether you want to beleive them or not, it wouldnt suprise me.

  7. DaveTheStalker

Driver said, “NO day night or weather cycle only night tracks like gt4 honkong track” and “170 cars with full damage inside outside damageand mechnical damaga,, all normal cars will have low damage”

On what authority do you have this information? You forgot about custom music soundtracks.

  8. gooner sems

actually we did get a release date a full feature list and more car info although it sounds like major dissapointments i’m not sad with the release date not at all but sad that pd played us why will you have a demo out when the game is half a year from release march 2010 is 6 month away and that is too long so i can’t understand how a demo is out while the game is monthes away but expect alot from the interviews i bet kaz will be asked the right questions

  9. Canadian STIG

Say what was the major advancement at TGS anyways? The SLS, the LP560-4, the 458, fewer of everything (20 tracks??, 950 cars?) or the release date? Could you really call these advancements? Is or was Kaz suggesting we wait untill the TGS event is over to see??? This is perplexing!!

  10. Stevo

Dunno if someone has posted this already but check out the ign preview: http://au.ps3.ign.com/articles/102/1028707p1.html it clears up some damage issues i.e. “deformation damage — scratches and stuff — for all normal cars, but race cars are going to take hits hard in a way that will cause doors and side panels to tear completely off” But ALL suffer concequences from crashes so engine damage etc FOR ALL CARS. at least its something.

  11. Warden

“GameSpot’s interview is expected to be published on Saturday (September 26)”

Saturdays up Bub! still no interview

  12. Chiem

Chirst, as much I like the GT series, it has some serious downsides. The GTseries never ever had any real AI, the AI is/was always scripted! Scripted AI aint AI. Physics…? It never had any. GT is always about the grafix and the series always rocked at that. But lets be honest racing games are about so much more then grafix. Personally I dont give a ratass about cosmic-damage. So if Forza 3 has good, bad or poor DMG I dont give a shit. Same goes for GT5, please no cosmic DMG. Tire wear, enige blow-ups etc etc plz yes.

Anyways I could rant on for hours. Buttom line is. Im fed up with PD and I got myself a X360 today and gonna pick up Forza 3 by the end of October, hehe I got Forza 2 when I bought my X360. As for GT5 I hope its gonna rock our socks of but Im not getting at full price! I`ll buy it 2nd hand or get it from a budget basket when its around $15-$20. Go suck balls PD Im fed up whit all your lies and delays! And oh, Forza is kinda cool, you really should check it out acuse when USA/EU ppl wont see GT5 before summer 2010! Epic fail PD!

  13. Driver

    GT5 will have

    More then 950 cars

20 location or countrys 70 tracks without varitions

170 cars with full damage inside outside damageand mechnical damaga,, all normal cars will have low damage

    Vehicular roll over

Physics: new physics, damage, vehicular roll over, movable objects on the track, and the newest hybrid and electric cars

NO day night or weather cycle only night tracks like gt4 honkong track

all cars will have cockpitvieuw only concept cars ,, headtracking

Beter lighting and shadows , more details and textures track

fine Tunning , carwash , olie cange , rims , bodyparts , repair garge

GT Mode= World Map, My Garage, Car Dealer, Tuning Shop, Championship Race, and License Test

Arcade Mode=Single Player, split-screen two player

    Online= Open Lobby, Text/Voice Chat,

  14. Hoodge1

Cmon, you know he is gonna have a 360 around his studio to see how his competitors stack up with their games (not that he really has any competition, unless you call Forza 3 competition). I’m sure he and his team have had a go on the FM3 Demo that just came out last thursday, and after seeing that the game will not be definitive, has worse damage than what we saw at Gamescom, with GT5’s unfinished damage model, came to the huge conclusion that FM3 is no competition for their sim.

I’ve got a 360 and I was very disappointed with FM3. Just another arcade/sim with better cartoony graphics, a joke of a damage system, ugly as hell cockpit view, no hand shifting animations, and pitiful AI. Tire Flex is just a visual gimmick, and again the same you just touch a car a certain way or it touches you, you just fly off the track like an open wheel Indy Car. Epic Fail.

Hey Kaz, take as much time as you want buddy. I can wait till March. GT5 Prologue still ownes FM3. Sure it is still a tech demo that is now reaching 3 yrs of age and doesn’t have all the features FM3 as a finished game has, but from the vids I saw of GT5 on this website of GT5 running at this TGS, GT5 will truly be the definitive racing sim. I call it Sim more than a video game. FM3 is a video game. So Kaz, I know you are a perfectionist and if you feel you can get this game to you’re ultimate vision, go for it bud. All the better for us GT fans!! Keep up the amazing work. Can’t wait.

  15. chris

count the locations on gt prologue world map (the little red dots.) there are approx 20. note their are f1 tracks. no reverse tracks on those. could these red dots be an indication of global (location) and tracks are based locally to those global locations ?

  16. Sam__NY

    @Dan da man LH fan

got an email from what game telling you the December 9th release???

and ya lewis hamilton is awesome….POLE AT SINGAPOR!!!

  17. Napoleon_Ist

this interviews embargo smells something fishy, december 2009 release for european version of gt5 i tell you. :)

    smells like victory indeed.

  18. Driver

I dont think ther will be weather but night races yeah like gt4 hongkong track no weather and day night cycle only night tracks like honkong track GT4

  19. stephen

with the ‘MAJOR ADVANCEMENT’, i was expecting a car list, track list, some more images and box art. i was excited for all this but no it didnt happen. i would like to know when he will release more details.

  20. Dan da man the Lewis Hamilton Fan

Just got an e-mail from game to say that there has been a change in the release date and its going to be on December 9th! WTF!

  21. ZX10RKING

I hope I’m wrong but is it possible that a late deal has been done between PD and Microsoft! GT5 is ready for a PS3 release but if it’s also coming out on the xbox 360 that might explain the delay (6 months to port it). Has anyone else noticed that none of the GT5 marketing has stated ‘exclusively on PS3’ like uncharted 2 etc?

  22. cuarache_GTR

p.s @ gooner_sems is it confirmed there will be no day and night or weather cycles? if so what a bummer i cannot understand why alot of racing games miss this out when MSR on the dreamcast featured this and PGR continues to feature this and to think the dreamcast was a console built to compete with the PSONE what are PD doing?? tut tut

  23. cuarache_GTR

    @ gooner_sems

I really hope there are more tracks than that because there have been some great tracks in GT’s history, I’m probably the millionth person to come on here and request ssR5, ssR11 and Rome night also the Rome circuit was really cool as well as seattle, New York was fantastic and many of the really tracks evolved and became great by the time GT2 and 3 were released Tahiti Maze being one of them, another missing from your list is Trial Mountain, Autumn ring, Deep forest these tracks along side Grand valley were what made GT1 legendary GT4 featured some creative tracks aswell chamonix, grand canyon, el capitan, citta di aria and costa di amalfi, george v paris and opera paris and the mere mention of Red Rock valley from GT2 gets me wet under the collar reminding me of times in the untamable TVR speed 12 with race modification and traction control setting great laps on that circuit, I hope to pikes peak with the new physics engine because it just wasn’t good enough on GT2 and other real life circuits that have featured like the infineon raceway, Twin ring motegi amd circuit de la sarthe all in all if PD were to include every track and variation from GT history the numbers would read 55 tracks with 119 variations which would be great, but they wouldn’t all fit on one BD, and if they were released as DLC they would be reduced to test tracks rather than featured in game on some the championships ala road america and twin ring motegi on forza2 as long as they feature some of the core city, fantasy and rally circuit along side some great real life circuits with 4-5 new additions and increase the amount to about 70 tracks with roughly 90-100 variations i’ll be satisfied at the moment those readings of 20 tracks just arent cutting the mustard because GT PSP has a similar amount maybe even more. thanks for reading

  24. gooner sems

hope you RE RIGHT COUARCHE alright so if it is 20 tracks then we know that the following will be in
    nurburgring
    circuit de la sarthe
    cote de azur
    daytona
    london
    tokyo
    fuji
    suzuka
    top gear test track
    eiger nordwand
the strange desert track in the trailers
    high speed ring
    seoul city circuit
    tuscuba cricuit
the rally circuit in the e3 trailer
small circuit which i don’t know its name in psp trailer which had 4 rally cars
    midfield race way
    apricott hill race way
and there are about 7 or 8 more tracks in various trailers but i don’t know their names so and that will be over 20 tracks already so like i said locations= countries hope that cleeared some things up

  25. Stevo

the features statement says over 20 locations and 70 variations, track wise. I don’t think they would have only 20 tracks, it seems silly, perhaps something was lost in translation here? its more likely that “locations” refer to countries…but “variations” points to locations meaning tracks. GT4 had far more tracks than 20, why not improve on a previous game, its uncharacteristic of them.

  26. cuarache_GTR

@ bank alexander glad i can make a difference, alot of people have been blaming GT PSP for the time taken but if they take a simple look at it, its a simple rehashed version of GT4 (like they’ve been calling it) all PD had to do was edit some UI and model a few cars 1 a week for the new cars no doubt some them had already featured in GT4 before anyway so minimal time was use on GT PSP. I never hear complaints about Tourist Trophy and GT5P for using up PD’s time but they did take a certain amount of time to make. Also getting licenses for the game from new manufacturers ala Ferrari couldnt have been easy, releasing updates for GT5P another time consumer, and the fact that PS3 wasn’t launched until 2006 would also mean PD have only been working on this title for 3-4 years coinciding with the releases of GT5P and GT PSP doesn’t sound so bad after explaining like this does it. I want GT just as much as anyone it was the reason for me buying a PS1, PS2, PSP and now PS3 but we need to be realistic, if Sony and PD can get this game out by December it would be a miracle because Kazunori and team have really been busy as they can be. Also I have read a rumour that the 2010 release could be due to the fact that Porsches exclusivity deal runs annually meaning that this december Kaz may get hold of Porsche, car modelling will be a simple factor because they have already modelled Ruf’s for the game already so the 6month per car deal goes out the window and ‘IF’ the game is released as late as march then this could very well be the reason (dont hold your breath on Porsche they should of had the nouse to realise the best game to be in is Gran Turismo ages ago after the advertising it did for 4 generations of Nissan GTR’s) thanks for listening again good day

  27. Cytoria

We all know that overall NFS Prostreet is not a really good game… But still it has some of the best looking smoke effect ever seen in a game. As PD needs improvements in that way, maybe having a copy of Prostreet at their office is not such a bad thing.

  28. xanavi

@Julian You need to make the game from the grond up on the ps3, and not port it, thats way you get complications, if you port it. Xbox is a more pc like computere from microsoft. Porting meens no problem then.

  29. NotaSonyEmployee

    “Michael Says:

That’s most strange… that PS3 game right beside Xbox. ”

Isn’t the Xbox logo on the side of the console where the game would cover it? I dunno about the logo location, but if it is behind the game, then they probably covered it on purpose, and probably the first thing they grabbed to do it with happend to be that game.
    Just a thought.
Has far has why the console is there in the first place, it always pays to research the competition….

  30. cuarache_GTR

    PLEASE READ VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!

i’m still seeing the misunderstanding of the statement 170 premium cars its simple english people those 170 cars will feature interior damage as well as exterior damage. all 950 cars feature cockpit views and exterior damage i hope that this has cleared it up for you. also the translator misenterpretated (bad spelling sorry) mr yamauchi he said and I quote because I speak both Japanese and English “GT5 will be released between ‘now’ and ‘march 2010’ ” so this furor is amazingly down to a simple mistranslation I hope I have made alot of you happier also stop coming down on Jordan this is the worlds best website and he couldn’t have predicted the run of events at TGS. furthermore I have been reading Forza 3 websites and they’re insulting forza 3 and its developers as much as you here are with GT5 and Kaz, just goes to show really we all think the grass is greener on the other side when we need to accept everything has its ups and downs, think about it like this the Forza 3 physics engine has changed little from forza 2 and forza fanboys are complaining about having a recycled game, and you all are complaining for the opposite reason lol being that GT5 will be rewritten from the ground up. Me personally I’m a fan of both games i think they’re both top of the tree for similar reasons even though they have massive differences I will buy Forza 3 and GT5 (although GT is the game of my life) anyway this a great time for racing game fans enjoy because next year will be awash with another NFS update, platform action and FPS games(though I will be getting modern warfare 2). thanks for hearing me

  31. Wolgib07

    @Julian
If I got something wrong with my sentence structure, it’s only because I am not English and english is my third language.
And GT 5 will be bigger than Forza 1 and Forza 2 together.

  32. Michael

That’s most strange… that PS3 game right beside Xbox. And why are they even playing that game.. it’s like it’s worse than ever? The wrong game in the wrong place.. duh.. what else is there to surprise us? :D

  33. Dom

    20 locations = 20 tracks
+ shorter versions = 15 or more “new” track variations
    + reverse = x2 = 70+ “tracks”

To be fair, it will be a little bit more than 20 full tracks! If you ask me, that’s a poor number. On the other side, I don’t expect PD to reverse the nordschleife of real racetracks like suzuka, as this would be not realistic. Reverse is more an option for city tracks.

The sad info in this is, there will be no full nascar season. I think this is a wasted potential. But I fear the Nascar part will not capture the original races where 35 cars drive within 2 seconds. The oval race in prologue was horrible, in the sense of what nascar is all about. Also, I am concerned with the pit stops and the starting process.

  34. Obli

    @gooner

“How can the variations be more than double the tracks?”

Why not? Variations aren’t just forward and reverse. You could have Fuji GT, Fuji GT, Fuji GT in reverse… various routes through London… etc

  35. NBH

The way I see it, 20 locations means 20 countries or areas within countries and not 20 tracks. For example the USA is a location but within that you have Daytona, Laguna Seca, Indianapolis and within those tracks you have Daytona oval and the Daytona circuit with the infield track so you add all the tracks and variations together and you get 70 probably.

  36. d3br34k5

I’m out of town on business, checking the latest news about GT5 on my hTC Touch Pro and all of a sudden my screen is flooded with a wall of incorrrectly spelled text. I have no idea why someone would think this news section is a good place for an incoherent rant about GT5 vs Forza…

Looking forward to the interview coverage, thanks Jordan.

  37. gtpro

I HAVE TO make a smaller version of that pic and turn it into my sig, lol, Kaz is looking at it like -ROFLOMGBBQ, who put this shit in here!?!?! O.o – epic xD

  38. Julian

LOL@ Sam_NY yeah again more promises from PD that are now changing lol. The info just keeps getting worse and worse yet the fanboys still have hope lol.

  39. Sam__ NY

nvrmind, the US gran turismo site was just updated. But for number of tracks it says over 20 locations and 70 veriations. thats less than forza 3, heck its less than GT4!

  40. Unkr3at1v

Following the list in the news-section on gran-turismo.com there will be only 20 locations!
Is this a typing error? I hope so! That would be ridiculous!

Hoping for news about the European release date….

  43. oppylocky

The interviews, could it be a damage limitation exercise? I think that the response from the world about GT5 has made PD get on the back foot. Interesting to see how the interviews pan out.

  44. Julian

Lol @Woligib07 #1 Use proper sentence structure. I barely understand what you are saying. #2 I own both a ps3 and 2 360s the ps3 is one of the first made a 60gig that i slept outside gamestop for. I say that to say this i like both systems but i have to at this time give to 360. It is funy to me that you post a post @xanavi saying you post what you think but prior to that you post it as fact. With all that being said again we have had 2 forza motorsports and no GT5 yet and it’s 5+ years. I can go on and on and on about how i feel that forza is better overall and about the only thing that GT had going for it was graphics over forza. As far as damage goes we all know that the GT damage model needs work and when there are only 170 of the 1000 cars that will have it that’s not much to brag about. Plus lack of Porsche, no livery editor, sub par online play. I can go on and on but the reality of it is PD has made a lot of promises and put out almost nothing other than a pushed back release date. Fanboys always quote the ps3s performance specs yet go to gamespot or any site where they compare games that were ported over on both systems and the xbox almost always comes out on top. Having capabilities and using them is two different thing. Both systems have pros and cons but lots of things that you quoted aren’t really facts as you said they are what you think. All i know is that on 10-27-09 i will have my fanatech porsche racing wheel and Forza 3 and from the demo that i just downloaded everything that turn 10 has promised they delivered. We have yet to even get a release date on GT5 for the U.S. after 5 years of waiting and then a psp version that got horrid reviews.

  45. Sergio

Or will he say NFS Pro Street is the best racind game on x360? :P (wich is really the worst, but he will say its better than FM)

  46. Zlimness

Xbox 360 and Yamauchi in the same pic = Gran Turismo 5 for 360 CONFIRMED!

Wolgi07 pwned this news post btw. Everything else just looks inferior next to his insane rant.

  47. TAxi

Xbox pad they doing research on forza 3 to get best features out it like livery editior

GT5 grapix and combination with all best sim racing games features is the perfect GT5

  48. Wolgib07

    @xanavi
Whatever. I think you got the right information.
I just whrite what I think.
I apologize if i got something wrong.
And ones again. PS3 rules, Xbox 360 sucks.

  49. gooner sems

the only important question is will the game chande its features all cars will have damage and the custom soundtracks will they be confirmed and ask him if we can get a new update for gt5p

  50. Nick

Given the lack of new info so far, I’m sticking with low expectations. If they had good news on release dates, they’d have given it already.

That said, it’d still be nice to know whether NA/Europe are going to be getting a simultaneous release with japan or whether it’ll be a few months behind (like previous GTs have been).

  51. xanavi

Jordan i have a question if it’s not to late :) I want to control the camera, ingaming and in the menus/garage. What’s the point with those grafics, if you can’t simply look at them decent. Like forza. It would make a big Deal to me, if i can always control the camera, to look at the car.

  52. xanavi

@Wolgib07 listen to me dude. Xboxs 9.8gig dvd-ps3 50gig blu-ray. So you’re wrong there, to begin with. 25gig is made for xboxs games on the ps3, or the kost is to much. Ingaminge realtime video (like a tv on a wall, in that ratchet and clank game, with tachyon), go,s way more fluid, Like 300%more. Explosions have 3times more inpact. Mirror reflection ps3 perfekt, xbox crap. 2times the number of cars. Beter colour correction. An on top of all that, you’re ps3 can read up to 400gig. Which resolves in to 20.000 traks and 15.000 cars. scientist said that it would take developpers years to get everything out of the ps3. Which is 2017. Ps3 suposed tho have a 1000hertz. But a production fault one chip woudsend connected. so it had 650, and xbox hase 800. And that is the only thiference is that xbox hase more. Ps3 is more powerful but a lot of people dusan t notice it.

  53. Sam__ NY

    JUST READ IT!

If you go to the UK version of gran turismo.com and go to the news section it tells you all about GT5’s features and stats (as told by KY at the TGS). Interestingly enough the US gran turismo.com is identical to the UK version, but it doesn’t have this news….

  54. riad

wow this is nice of them, anyway guys i have a question to add to the gamespot.com comments but cant ( u need level 3 someting rights ???) anyway if anyone here can post on my behalf that be arsomeeee.

    my comment..

we want to be able to adjust or play with the racing onscreen-HUD or even remove it completly. to be able to race with minimal or no HUD at all wud be cool and since the cokpit view is very detailed we wont need a HUD to see our gear, speed etc. just as an optional option this cud be.

    thanks in advance guys

  55. Cobolt60

Hmm what with the Xbox pad on the programmers desk, Secret market research I think or conspiracy theorists may think a xbox gt port.

I just think they are healthy gamers just like us.

  56. Gar

strange seeing the PS3 prostreet next to the 360 console. I wonder if a journalist put that there and took pictures for kicks.

  57. DaveTheStalker

Kaz staring at the 3shoddy with a big RED RING wondering, “what’s that all about?” :p Substandard console, yuk!

  58. Jordan

@missionfailed: Actually, Kazunori Yamauchi is an extremely heavy smoker. Considering the stress he’s under (and after reading some of the recent comments on GTPlanet), he’s probably lighting up more than ever these days! :-/

  59. Quency

If they put a XBOX 360 and a NFS game is to get bored the developers who are trying to entertain instaed of developing GT5.
Like this they go back to work and release a real game !
    HAHA

In the same time, if they are buying PS3 games to put on the XBOX, no wonder they keep delaying GT5 ! Someone must teach them that the white fatty tower with the green X is not a PS3…
    haha,

No stop laughing Kaz better tell good things or else i go personnaly there to kick is ass…

Crikey – We’d best cut him some slack, that Kaz has been working so hard he must of missed several dental appointments. Either that or he chews Xboxes for breakfast, look ! he’s getting hungry just looking at that one.

after they took the picture of Kaz starring down the xbox he probably threw it across the room walked over pickied it up and threw it again. ;)

Please read !!! Really important !!!
If we started talking about Forza 3, i can tell you that Forza 3 comparing Forza 2 didn´t improve damage at all except rollover. In physics Forza 3 have done some nearly unnecesary tire flex which probably nobody will ever see (it is really imposible to find out in Forza 3 if your tire on your car is doing some mini flex on 120 mph. That is ridiculous). The only thing they improved was the number of cars and tracks and probably some poligons on cars which still are less than on gt 5 prologue.
    Forza 2 Forza 3
    cars aprox. 310 400
    tracks 37 100(mega improvement)
Always they talk about polygons and Turn 10 says “10 times more polygons than in Forza 2″, but why they don´t say the number of them??? Because in GT 5 prologue there are 210000 polygons aprox. (differently on every car) and in Forza 2 (i was looking nearly without stoping for 2 days) and i found out that in Forza 2 there are 12000 polygons which means that there are 120000 polygons in forza 3 which sucks comparing with even GT 5 prologue which came out in 2007 = 3 years ago. We can see that in Mercedes SLS AMG video, in which graphics improved, which 85% means that polygons number improved also. Tracks and cars in Forza 3 look fine, but comparing to gt 5 prologue are just pieces of shit. That’s all because PS3 is more powerfull and Blu-ray disk comparing to a normal DVD which Xbox 360 has, has 5 times more of capacity. Thats why Turn 10 they came out with “this” and they said that they pushed xbox 360 to the max, taking everything maximum possible from it. So does it mean that what will see at the end of october will be the ultimate xbox 360 game. Well. Turn 10 says that. Dan really advertises his game by saying that his game in everything is better than other games (by that we think that it is better than gt 5 and he wants that we think like that and then sell our ps3s and buy xbox 360 and then buy forza 3 like zombes which just do what their boss says. Some of people do that now all days long, but we who didn’t sell a ps3 need to think a little bit and to understand that forza 3 from a scientific way couldn’t be better than gt5 (except 100 tracks). Cockpits in forza 3 look like ones from midnight club L.A. which is an arcade game. The camera is to high and close to the window which makes it even more difficult do look around and feel that you are in a racing sim. Graphics look cartoonish and lights still are too bright and they didn’t improve thing that in shades or under a brige the reflection doesn’t change at all. In the presentation gran turismo 5 rules. Nobody can touch it. The only thing why you probably need to buy forza 3 is because of tuning and porsche models. But forza 3 is better than gt4 in tining is because of bodykits and vinyls. Now, people were talking about fortha 3 being on 2 disks and that is still an issue with xbox 360 DVD capacity which is max 5 gb. and Bly ray disk is 25 gb.. It’s just because Turn 10 can’t fit their ultimate game in one disk and PG do. Also i didn’t really hear anything about Nascar or WRC after e3. Forza 3 still doesn’t have them, but even after that Dan from turn 10 says that forza 3 is the best game evar (ever). Yes, yes forza 3 seriosly has a better online that gt5 prologue has and probably gt5. I am not really in the online gameplay so much like my friends (they play 6 hours during the week and up to 15 hours in weekends). There is a Limited Collector’s Edition and Turn 10 sell nothing to you for 120$. You get: 8 hottest cars without which you can’t play the game and if you have extra 40 bucks you gust buy it. also you get a usb and other stupid stuff which nobody needs. And they call it a Limited Collector’s Edition, so there would be a limited amount of them and people will buy them faster. I don’t know, why they don’t do the whole forza 3 in limited edition. I think they just rob us. And today (25th september) forza 3 a demo came out with ferrari 458 italia and some weird Fujimi Kaido circuit which is situated in Japan (and was shown in TGS 09 to japanese kids how an American Forza 3 is better than Gran Turismo. They put in there some of japanese and japanese cars and boom nearly whole population of japanese kids bought an xbox and play forza 3. Meanwhile Kaz says that the game will come out between now and march (the translator got it wrong and it said in march). My friend from Tokio who was there and which is japanese said it to me.
GT 5 i think will be epic game mainly because i am a gran turismo and PS3 fan. And also because it really will be ones again one of the best games of all times and when it will come out it will break several world recods all of us will buy it (except ones who will die by swine flu), play it for several thousand hours and now we’ll continue playing online and when we will be bored with itwe will wait for other three years and gt 6 the new masterpiece will come and no forzas or anything will ever be even close to the real driving simulator GRAN TURISMO.
Here is a little bit information about both upcomming games.
Gran Turismo 5 Forza Motorsport 3

For me GRAN TURISMO FOR EVER.

I like the most PS3, because it has such good games like GT5, Motorstorm, MGS, Killzone 2, etc…,and if i would had only a PS3 i won’t be an asshole and buy xbox for only one f****ng
    game.

  64. taekwondo4ever

I think someone should photoshop the pro street picture with laser beams coming out of his eyes towards the xbox or something, lol.

  65. JDigital

Hopefully he’ll clear some things up… there is a rumor floating around that the release date was misinterpreted… we can only dream.
