I havent finished the seasonal yet, but that Panoz Esperante in the OCD has “buy me” written all over it. I’ve only seen this car 3 times since i had gt5, a rare gem and even better with 0/0/0. Gotta get it.

I really like the Gt5 but I can’t understand the opponents behavior in these challenges. Why when we get closed on the corner exits the car ahead brakes? Why are always one or two cars alone to chase? This kind of race should be more realistic, cars trying to overtake each other including us, sharing corners, making mistakes. I think it’s very easy to turn this events more exciting.

So, this has been a bunch of the toughest races I’ve set at in GT5 in ages! It’s been brilliant.
I decided on the Audi R10, stock obviously, and have been taking a good two or three attempts so far.

This was a fun, challenging race. Using the Toyota GT One tuned to 720 got me Gold in all races. A few tries for each circuit due to 5 second penalties for touching the grass made it more of a challenge. Funny, but Tsukuba took me 4 tries…I thought it was going to be an easier race than the others.
As far as forced SRF…get over it…it’s a game after all. There are plenty of tracks/races where you can set your own limits based on each individuals driving style/experience. Take a look at the Open Lobby…plenty of “No Aids allowed” racing.
After 2 years of GT5 I still enjoy it and have met some really good drivers.

I won using a stock 908, won a 905. Tsukuba was a fun race in the 908, can be a bit tail happy if you’re not careful ;)

I won no problem, used the toyota Minolta 88c-v race car with high range turbo. i got the 2j race car as a reward so the 20 mill i had saved to buy that car will be spent on ,ore drift cars yay, i gatta say today was a good day.

Nice looking seasonal, added difficulty with penalties. But please, for crying out loud can people stop complaining about forced SRF. I’m afraid it’s on, get on with it.

Jeez, I hate the penalty system in GT5. The penalty system punishes the “clean” drivers more than it does the dirty ones.

I used the 908 HDi. No tune, just a mid range turbo. Makes for an interesting event…and frustrating at the same time. Every race it came to passing the rabbit on the last few corners.
Best advice I can give is drive the wheels off the 908. It can be a bit tricky until the Tyres warm up, but as long as you’re consistent and avoid penalties you’ll be ok.
Le Mans was frustrating. You need to be faultless-no penalty, no spins no anything. Use the opponents draft on the straights, and you should catch the rabbit in the run into the last chicane.

Le Mans pissed me off! I thought it would be one of the easier races to win, how wrong I was.

Also used the 908, bone stock. Lacked a bit of power on the straights compared to the leading Nissan but overall a much quicker car.
Good fun to use real racing cars on real circuits. If only the AI would drive like a real driver…

Having the SRF option forced on us in the seasonnal is annoying, but not giving us a clear explaination of why it is forced, that is insulting.

Agreed, wtf is up with the SRF in this event? I jumped on the first one in the 5 races to try it out and quit before I started because the biggest noob tool was turned on. lol back to iRacing Time Trials i guess

It’s cool to be able to flex some GT1 cars’ legs, too bad it’s not exclusive.

SRF gives about a tier of tire improvement. Use sports soft and stop complaining.

      DrKronin

It adds that much grip, but in a completely different, arcadey, sim-killing way. Every seasonal PD releases that forces this “option” on everyone damages GT5′s credibility as a sim.

      hyyperactive

Even normally sports softs are too fast. It is just not even worth playing these when srf is forced on. Why are pd so stupid? How the hell even wants srf forced on?!
