The latest round of Seasonal Events are now available in Gran Turismo 5, compact cars from all over the world. Cars are limited to a maximum of 400PP, Comfort/Soft tires or less, and are to be no longer than 4200mm. The challenges are as follows:
Note the “Performance Difference Bonus” applies, so more credits will be awarded for using a slower car below the maximum allowed PP value.
The game’s Online Car Dealership has also been updated with new inventory. As always, stop by our GT5 Seasonal Events forum for more analysis and discussion!

on the Rome Circuit
Had a blast with this one in a Mazda Eunos Roadster J-Limited (NA) ’91 (348pp). Really raking up the credits on this one, :-D
Only haven’t figured out how to win the last race in this car. Somehow the first A.I. gets too much of a headstart with that race.
I know. During the last race the ai is 20 odd seconds ahead at first then ended up being 55 secs ahead. Weird.
With the Mugen Honda Civic race car it was really easy event !
Loved this event. Won the first four races on the first go (the last turn on the Autumn Ring) but Eifel was tricky and took my third go to win. Used a Toyota 2000GT with full tune which was 398PP. Good fun.
Just make cars too old to have ABS set to zero ABS. Then lock it. No more btchn or whining.
If you want ABS in a older car, just upgrade the suspension and tire size……oh wait,……….
I actually have Fun with this challenge, and driving a Mazda Roadster RS (NC) 07 – 378pp.. :O)
Hmm, still haven´t got the chances of doing these New Seasonals since the PSN server is under maintance, but they look great, can anyone tell me wich is the prize car please?
using the ’11 mini cooper and when i corner it slows down hell of alot it never use to, why is this happening?
‘LOUD NOISES!’
Ha Ha PD, very funny. Forcing SRF in the seasonals was a good joke but now its lost its comical appeal (If it ever had it).
We ask you to fix the A.I. “Chase the Rabbit, Rolling Checkpoint”conundrum ,and your answer is to force an aid obviously meant for Newbies. I dont appreciate this, as I work hard to refine my driving technique.
If this continues, I will only be playing GT5 in Online lobbies in the forseeable future.
online gaming is also really messed thanks to “PP balancing” :D
im using a 06 miata doing really good so far agree with ncrthree and the forced aids lol. only aid i use is abs and its on 1 cuz its to hard to use no abs with controler lol if i had a wheel it would be off
depends what wheel, i have the Logitech Driving Force GT and that’s epic, but my mate has the DF EX and that’s shockingly bad for racing with
How can we get hold of pd to send them a message… Perhaps they know this or maybe not but the pp update has ruined the game for me… I was loving gt before the update and IMO the cars were far more evenly matched than they are now… For example I was racing in the 505pp class and it was fantastically addictive but now it’s all messed up people using trucks which are as fast as an m3 csl and the supra has imprOved by about 20 seconds per lap and is around 7 seconds per lap faster than anything else it’s crazy please pd bring the old pp system back I haven’t raced online since the update
Personally, I believe it is more fair. Take the Alfa TZ2, for example. its a 550 PP car, but it wouldn’t keep up before update. Now it should be alright.
Forced aids of any kind is wrong. Hopefully forced SRF isn’t the new trend in these events. Of all the aids to force, lol. Seems like it should be forced OFF with these specs. 400pp and CS tires, please if you need SRF at those specs you need practice not your hand held.

I was almost done with the Nurburging event using an Alpine A110…then the power went out on me. >_>
Hmm, looking forward to the Ring one. It’s fun throwing little cars around that track.
Please stop this forced SRF PD. You call the game a simulator? Then Force on the totally fake SRF?
WHY?
The BMW Z4 ’03 premium and the TVR V8S made this event to easy
I use an ’02 Mini MINI COOPER with racing suspension and racing exhaust(no other mods) just to watch the sparks because it rides so low. Have fun with it earning those 300k+ credits.
when you say premium do you mean the main dealership?
****ing Eifel tracks :)
Nice, an OCD update that actually suits the theme of the seasonal event for once.
They actually do that a lot…but sometimes it’s one cycle off.
Useing the Toyota 2000gt and setting the PP to 318 and racking the points and credits
