Assetto Corsa Porsche Pack Volume 1 Arrives on PS4, Still No Known Date for XB1

It’s been a long time coming, but Assetto Corsa players on PS4 now have access to Porsches in a current-generation sim. Porsche Pack Volume 1 arrives alongside the game’s 1.09 update today, bringing with it a classic layout of Silverstone and the following cars:

  • 911 Carrera S
  • 935 Moby Dick
  • 918 Spyder
  • Cayman GT4 Clubsport
  • 718 Cayman S
  • 917/30
  • 911 Carrera RSR 3.0 1974

In addition, all players will be able to drive the latest, second-generation Porsche Panamera in-game, free of charge. The update — weighing in at a hefty 5.2 GB — more closely aligns the console version of the game with the PC edition, which just received Porsche Pack Volume 2 last week.

There’s bad news for Xbox One players, however. According to the latest blog post on the official site, the wait will be longer still:

“Unfortunately, we have encountered some problems with the Xbox One update and we are unable to launch the patch and Porsche Pack Vol. 1 DLC tomorrow. The team at Kunos are working flat out right now and doing all they can to solve the issues, resubmit and bring the update, along with the Porsche Pack Vol. 1 DLC, to Xbox One as soon as possible! Stay tuned to our community channels… We will update you as and when we can with more information.”

With no release date in sight, it’s safe to say XB1 racers will have to flip their calendars over to December before enjoying the Stuttgart wundercars. For reference, the third Porsche Pack is scheduled to launch on PC December 20.

At the time of writing, the US & Canadian PlayStation Stores have yet to add the DLC, but Porsche Pack Volume 1 is rolling out across the globe for $6.99 USD / £5.79 / €6.99. It’s also included in the Season Pass, which lists for $29.99 USD / £24.99 / €29.99. Season Pass may still see a price on the pack: they are encouraged to first download the update.
