Why's that? I realize the DE is made by IMI, but does that mean an Arab would deign to use a good gun? Would he rather throw rocks at his enemy? :p
 
Terrorist groups like Hamas and Fatah have no problem using stolen M16s and M4s. Tools of the Infidel? Eh.
 
Looks like they went a little overboard with that if you ask me. Shooting through interior walls, wood doors, fences, and the ceiling is okay. But can you really shoot through brick walls like around those front steps? I know that a sniper rifle could, but it looks like all the guns will probably have the same capability for penetrating walls...
 
Ya know... I'd say the shooting though walls is more realistic in some ways but watching that vid I can tell all the nOObs in multiplayer will love it because now they don't have to have any skill at all, they can just go shooting EVERYWHERE and kill anyone around them. Lame... :rolleyes:

Where's the bullet holes too? lame... That's Activision for ya. Yeah yeah... processing power, my ass.

It's ****ing pre-alpha. Most games don't even look this good at 60fps when they release, let alone at the beginning stages of development.

Your complaint would be valid if this game would be releasing next week, but since it's not, there's still plenty of time to add in things like bullet holes.

But it is so much easier to take illogical and unsubstantiated swipes at the PS3 then to actually read and understand what's really going on.

...It'll actually be on 360 and PC as well. Heck, all the footage we've seen so far is from the 360 version.
 
Anyone see that E3 trailer??? It was seriously amazing!! That sniper stood up with the camo and completely surprised me. I honestly thought it was a CGI trailer until it said "checkpoint reached" then my jaw dropped. Holy crap that gameplay looked real!! I just hope the online of this game doesnt have the problems that COD3 had.

Nit picking but... the fact the gun doesn't move (bobble) and that the clothes don't move or at least rustle is a bit unrealistic and disconcerning. Stupid video is taking a long time to stream too.

I love modern warfare FPSs so i'll more then likely get this.
 
Nothing but it's old and done to death...

Anyway, I'll probably sound like a hypocrite after the above post but I d/led the trailer for this game on the 360 and WOW. I think this will be the first non-car game I'm anticipating. I won't be going online with this thing though that's for sure. It's still gonna be nOOb city shooting though everything. :rolleyes:
 
Meh, I do still like the same BF2 over and over doesn't get old for me but... the mods change it up too.

I saw this during G4's coverage of E3 and was really impressed... but I wanted to see how it ended instead of fading out just as the opposing soldiers were approaching with a tank escort... I have a feeling it wasn't going to end well for those two. :D

I'm tired of the military FPS games, but I have to admit this does look like a much improved gaming environment, and thus a smart move on Activision's part to move the franchise from WWII to a modern warfare setting. 👍
 
Has anyone seen the "Sizzle" montage video in the PS Store yet? It has some CoD4 in it, with some actual PS3 footage... and it's not looking too hot. Bunch of jaggies everywhere.

COD4 is supposed to have a system set up similar to Halo where you can have friends in a room and keep going room to room all in the same group. That is going to make this game much much better with that set up. 👍 More and more games need to start doing that.
 
Resistance is like that too and its not restricted to just clan members.

I don't like any of the box Art. Maybe if the "modern warfare" wasn't outlined in green appearing like a subliminal message about the supireor version that will get all content and bonuses.
 
Ya know... I'm on the fence now. I'm ready for my PS3 to be a game system and I think I'm ready to buy some games for it. I'm wondering if it might be a good idea to get the PS3 version of COD4 but I have a bad feeling it will be like RSV ported to the PS3. I've already got COD4 pre-ordered for the 360 but I could sell it and get the PS3 version probably pretty easy.
 
Sometimes, stores will let you change your pre-order to a different system. Most do actually. But Im worried that it will be a port as well. As duck said, all of the footage that we have seen is from the 360 version. On gametrailers, all of the videos that show upgrades, (i.e. sleight of hand) are from the 360 version. And the clip of COD4 on that "sizzle" video doesnt look too spectacular.
 
Got it online from Liongames.com so I doubt I can change it. It's ok though. If this doesn't cut it on the PS3... MGS4 WILL.
