Oh hi

Somehow lucky enough to find at least one of each of the R32 and S15. For once, someone was "kind" enough to not take them all.... Ever since I started looking for them, they were always gone, except for the Escort and Gallardo.

Also found part of the Gran Turismo set at Gamestop.

Still no luck with the find any Gulf series cars yet.

There were a few of each including the Gallardo and Escort no R34 yet. Also found the Matchbox moving parts set at the same store. This one has the BMW I8 and S2000 right or is that a different set?

I think the S2000 came in a later set and the i8 a different one from that. I picked up that and the Range Rover.

Knew it. Another dud. This was one of those impulse preorders made a while back. Completely forgot about it.

Hmm, right side mirror is not aligned properly and is cracked. Rear spoiler sticker is badly applied. One exhaust is bent. Oh no oh no.

Been ages since I posted something here, but I simply cannot not share this. It might be the most significant find in my 'career'.

As you might know/remember from previous posts of mine, here in Mexico wee don't have Santa visitin', its the Three Magic Kings territory, lol. So every 5th of january, small, toy-focused flea markets sprout all around the city. In one of those, I managed to catch four Hot Wheels redlines made in México by Cipsa, all of them on the same place!

First, the three Mantis. The green one is the 13th one registered in this colour, while the blue and orange ones are the 14th ones in the Cipsa registry. And yes, I'm already trying to find a replacement wheel for the green car.

And then the star amongst the group, a purple Snake funny car, with the original glass. The 7th one known in this color, one of two with the glass, and so far, the one in better shape of all the purple Snakes. I've already been offered about 1,000 bucks for this thing.

This brings my Cipsa count to 8. Yes, it was a great freaking day 👍

This is 1/64? And no blue color at all? Lol.

Spark did a great job with the 911, really can't fault it too much. Far better than their Bentley casting.

Yeah I agree it's a nice casting. I got the purple one a while back and even then I said it's excellent, but I still think the model could benefit greatly from plastic taillights.
That being said though they're already at a very fair price point considering you get a clear case with them and their quality control seems pretty good. I've not had any manufacturing mistakes on my Spark models, something that seems more and more valuable in 1/64 models lately.

I'm curious why you don't like their Bentley GT3 though. It's certainly not as nice as the Kyosho, but I couldn't find too much wrong with the two that I have.

Holy 🤬, what a find. Those are in incredible shape too.

Don't me wrong I like it. Just the finer details like the head lights and tail lights that let the Bentley casting down a bit, imo.

Hoping that we continue to see GT3 releases from Spark. Would love a 1/64 R8 or AMG.

Damn, can't believe I missed this post at first. The Snake funny car is amazing. (Looks fairly mint too) Understatement of the year but great finds. 👍

I have mixed feelings about the Gulf set. I don't know why they think it's a good idea to feature the Golf GTI. It's just out of place imo, same with Laurel. The only cars i like from this set are the Fiat, Mclaren and the Mustang.

Got my Pair of Spark Porsches today. Didn't take long at all thankfully.

They're really nice and while I'm usually cheering for any BMWs that haven't broken down yet when I watch the Nürburgring 24h race I can't help but respect Manthey Racing's achievements.

Fair enough. As impressive as the 911's are. The flatbed is still one of coolest TLV castings around, imo.

Pick your poison. :)

I really need to get one of those before it goes up in value again.

Not sure how true these photos are, but I saw them posted in the Lamley FB group.
Didn't see them there.

I still think this is one of Hot Wheels most detailed release. Those lines are greatness.

I've decided I'm going to sell off 99% of my collection so I was wondering if anyone had tips or ideas for prices they would be willing to share.

For basic mainlines, I'm thinking of asking $1 each or 10 cars for $5. Error cars would all be marked as "make offer" and for Treasure Hunts I'll probably go with slightly less than average Ebay value going by the sold listings. All of that would be for carded cars. Loose basic mainlines would be 25 cents each. Other cars such as Real Riders, NASCAR, Racing Champions, Greenlight, etc I haven't decided yet if I'll be parting with those. I'm only concerned with Hot Wheels as I'm typing this. I'm not concerned with return so much as I am with clearing out the cars.

For now I'll be selling everything at train shows and flea markets, so nothing will be online at the moment. However I do want to make that jump eventually but I'm not sure how soon that would be.
