At least it'll run some length into my work shift and give me something to do.

Last time I went to MIS was last year for the truck race. I haven't went to a cup race since 2007 because of the massive rain out debacle. Even though the tickets we used to hold for August, it seems to be a bad day to be a ticket holder today (at the moment, at least).

unless the difference is the accent mark which isn't something most American's would know how to do since we don't have them in our language for about 90%-95% of diction used here.
yeah it was the accent nvm lol

Source? Everything I've seen says this is just for Michigan and Indy.
yes my bad, I could've sworn I read it on Jayski but like a GTP member said on previous page, he won't have a pit crew (huh??) so only Michigan and Indy...

As a big Hamlin fan, this season has been one of the most disappointing for me in a long time. Pit crew and reliability has been great just not the driver. Rant over.

I mean is it really worse than last year

The man fractured his vertebrae and of course won't be 100% if he's only out for 4 races. Reliability was more of a concern last season and simply isn't this season yet no real sign of improvement.

Most of you guys seem pretty laid back here. There's a couple forums out there that are absolutely cringe-worthy when Johnson wins a race.

What's there to get upset about really, not like they can prevent him from winning. And this season it doesn't really mean much with the new chase format and the fact that one of his team mates is as strong as him, along with an SHR driver and the two Penske drivers, as well as a consistent Gordon (had to laugh). Let's not forget the one good Gibbs driver this season, and it looks to still be a struggle for JJ more so than the past, but that goes like wise for the others.

Gotta give props to Larson though, 8th place 👍.

Is it too much of stretch to say he'll make the chase?

No because now we're getting to a stage where the same drivers are winning or pretty much winning and only so many wild card races. If a ringer wins at Sonoma and Watkins Glen they wouldn't make the chase. Then you have Daytona in a couple weeks. But the other 9 races are pretty much decided I'd say between the usual suspects: JJ, Harvick, Junior, Brad, Logano, Kenseth, and Gordon at the end of these guys most days. The only guys I can see making it in due to a wild card race is Ambrose, Stewart (any race really but that's for later), McMurray, Vickers.

There is plenty of time for the 16 (I think) individual winners in the next 11 races but will there be 6 more...I doubt it. I'd say 2-3 more first time winners this year.

Point is I think he'll make it in, and perhaps he'll win soon enough if he can stop playing to his title as a rookie and making simple mistakes.

Definitely not. He's tied with Logano now for 7th in points.

As long as the wheels don't fall off with numerous wrecks/mechanical failures, he should be fine, even without a win.

I was going to comment on how Jeff has consistently been points leader, but it's only going to stay that way until the chase reset unless he can get 2-3 wins before then. I don't see it being possible for him to get back to the top of the chase points without more wins if Jimmie is already up there with 3. The consistency helps, but being behind in points doesn't when the rest of Hendrick Motorsports can be in the hunt for wins each week.

Next week will be interesting for Larson. I'm not expecting much.

I'm just waiting for Brad to finally win one at the Glen this summer. Finishing runner up three years in a row must be slightly annoying.

Larson was pretty stout when he ran the Ganassi IMSA P in the Rolex 24 this year looking at his times. He may not be the absolute best, but he will be no slouch

Not going to Pocono but instead Richmond this September. Anyone been to RIR and know what the best seats are?
