Jimmie may have been outta fuel
He was.

In the in-car replay, you can see the fuel pressure gauge flashing red starting just before he gets wrecked. Even signaled out the window to the other drivers, but at that point it's too late to do much, especially on the outside.

Jimmie was out of fuel. He really slowed down into turn 4.

Ryan Truex is in. No idea what happened and how he's in. Unless he was ahead of Waltrip before the field was frozen allowing him to pass Waltrip.

I must say, Clint has massively improved in his landing.

Dude! Holy crap that was an awesome onboard from Bowyer! Last time a car flipped and with barely any damage as a result was Robert Presley in the '97 or '98 Daytona 500.
Actually there were two trucks in 2005 (?) that did a blow over like Clint's, and both finished.

The blow over is my favorite type of crash, so I'm pleased with the result. :)

Ryan Truex is out of the 500 again. He may be back in eventually, and then back out again.

5 cars airborne:

Clint (Blowover)
Waltrip (Hit inside wall)
Truex (Hit the grass)
Ragan (hit inside wall)
Mcmurray (hit by truex)

Never saw those two, but I think I saw a YouTube video of Chad Chaffin doing that (?).

My favorite wreck of all time was at Talladega in the mid-90's when Jimmy Horton (red #32, if I recall correctly) barrel-rolled the car right over the wall in the middle of the turn. There was so much smoke the announcers didn't even know it had happened, until the cameraman found the car sitting outside the track.

There have almost certainly been races at Talladega where there were two flipping accidents in the same race.

Sad to see Shepherd not make it. If the field wasn't frozen he would have (eventually) passed the wrecked cars.

There's been multiple deaths in a single race in multiple incidents at Daytona. If it has happened in racing, Daytona has had it happen.

New avatar :D

Is it wrong that I'm enjoying Kligerman and Bowyers flipping? (after knowing they are ok, of course)
