Indeed I do, thanks for the laughs. Anyways glad you found it interesting, since she talked a lot about the engine work experience she had overlooked since becoming manger in 2001 I have to wonder if that's what the development is in. I wonder if NASCAR is going to change some things for the car in 2015 that they haven't released to the public but told manufactures to work on.

You really have to wonder how long NASCAR can go with the whole 'no technology' thing. That was OK for decades up until the 90s when roadcars started to get very heavy into electronics and technology.

Some technological advancements would even help safety. For example, tire pressure monitors. A driver wouldnt have to wonder if hes having a tire going down the crew would know for sure.

Hopefully in the near future NASCAR embraces more technology. The cars shouldnt be so far behind roadcars.

The same NASCAR that thought driving aids were going to be used by teams if they switched from carb to fuel injection. The only major series to use tube-frame chassis for every car in every series they run. The only other major series that has tube-frame chassis cars is TUSCC with the Daytona Prototypes.. which were developed by the France family's vision.

They need to embrace technology instead of cowering in the corner from it.

But, in all of that, they need to figure out how the make the cars more challenging to drive.

Oh, that's the easy part, go back to something resembling "stock" cars instead of these purpose built race cars they have been using the past 20-30 years.

Since I said I was going to, here's the points standings with the system I said in this post

Points per race - 43-1 (No points for a race you finish less than 50% of)
Bonus Points - +5 for the pole, +3 for leading the most laps, +7 for leading more than 50% of the laps in a race
Chase Picks - All who win a race plus those in the top 10 in points that don't have a win
Chase Seeding - +1 point for every place over 10th in the points you were pre-reset, -1 for every place behind 10th you were pre-reset, +1 point for every win
Eliminations - If you fall more than a race and a half behind the leader (So 65 points), you are eliminated from the Chase and your points are reset to pre-Chase totals plus what you have earned in the Chase

Italic - Finished >50% so no points were awarded.

Crazy idea - How about NASCAR televising most of the race on a delay? Like how they handled qualifying. So when it goes to commercial you dont miss anything. When they come back from commercial the broadcast picks up where it left off. The problem is with the amount of commercials each race has you're looking at the race broadcast being about 45 minutes longer then normal.

A lot of people already don't like how long the races are. Putting them on a delay so no one misses anything won't make things better.

There are other, better, alternatives already implemented that NASCAR broadcasts don't seem to get.

I would rather just have NASCAR become less greedy so the networks don't have to air so many commercial's to make a profit.

What I dont get is how they now have sponsor logos on screen during the race, but theres been no reduction in commercials. TNT at one point last season filled up 15% of the screen with a sponsor for the entire race and you still had commercial fever.

Theres already about 6 cautions per race. Thats enough time for 20 or so minutes of commercials. That combined with an onscreen sponsor logo for the entire race should be enough sponsorship dollars. But NASCAR is greedy

Now, this might have been covered before, but are the "chasers" set strictly by wins (as we're being told by Fox every 3 minutes; you win, you're in) or will points also play a part of the equation?

If more than 16 drivers win, then points matter for winners. If not then the rest of the chase is filled with top point getting winless drivers.
