Considering the caution came out halfway between coming out of turn four up to the tri-oval and he had a good gap and they were still at full speed. And you can see that they're at probably 3/4ths throttle when he's yelling about the win he had it. This isn't as if they called it on the damn back stretch.

I'm sure the replay is up at this point if you are suffering short term memory loss.
First, you don't have to be an ass about it, but I do strictly remember Hamlin on his ass coming to the line and trying to pull out to pass. Whether he knew the caution was out or not due to his radio problems, we'll never know. Point is, there were other positions that were being fought for and allowing them to finish under green would have changed quite a few of them.

I'm being an ass? He had people driving up a bit and I recall the car slowed up a bit because he saw the yellow out confirming the race was over either way. He also had placed a block and Hamlin didn't make any effort to try and beat it so...

Look if you don't like Junior cool, go yell at the wind about it, but don't come in here making up as much BS as those who are talking crap about Dillion and expect to come out of here without someone saying something. And I'm the ass? First financial advice on V8 supercars and now this...you're batting a 1000 and if you have issue with my post style you've been around long enough to know the ignore feature.

Nothing causes bitching quite like JOONYAH! winning a race.
I'd be happy if he'd just admit he doesn't like the guy and didn't like the win, but to come up with tin foil hat conspiracies is asinine. At least when a driver wins that I don't like I don't come out the wood work claiming conspiracy, I say that I don't like the guy and if people get mad at me then it happens or I just respectfully say good win between me teeth and move on.

I didn't give you any financial advice, I simply told you the best thing you could do was pick up a live streaming subscription. I don't have money coming out of my ass either yet I still managed to find some and watch and support my favorite racing series.

I don't hate Junior, in fact I could care less. NASCAR is known to play their cards when the situation is right, just watch that video I posted the other day. That's what is wrong with this sport now is the marketing, and throwing cautions at just the right time helps with, guess what, marketing of the sport. Call it what you want, doesn't make you right.

Good on you when you have a kid, married, are going to a four year university can't work much and only have one income coming in then we'll talk. I'm willing to bet that I'm in a tighter jam than you, either way try to respect that rather than just being whimsical and saying "oh just go pay for the subscription". But this is the nascar thread you want to hash this out you can message me and I'll find time for you.

You couldn't care less? That's good to know. I know all about NASCAR probably better then you when you come in for the few races or talk about how you're glad you didn't watch the season. Call it what I want? Um did Nascar tell the drivers to not race Junior for the last 20 or so laps he was out front and even more of the race he ran up front? There is plenty wrong with this series and many other racing series, and most of them are about marketing and entertainment more than actual racing. However, he raced hard and won it and had probably the best car next to Brad and unless you have proof that they fixed the race for "marketing" show us, if not I'd say I'm loads more right than you are.

Speaking of brad, I just realized he came up short two days in a row

When you are single, live on your own, pay student loans, food, power, bills for health issues, etc while trying to find extra money to get the only car you can afford back on the road because it's not working? Yeah, probably in the same boat as you. Everyone that has kids, goes to school, etc always makes it out to be like they are worst off financially than everyone else. News flash, doesn't work that way.

First off, I rarely watch the races because I can't afford cable (imagine that) so when they switch from Fox (which I pick up through a $10 antenna) to the other network, I'm SOL. If I need proof, why not you? Surely this goes both ways. Listen, it's not the winner I care about it's the other ~10 drivers that had a chance to pick up spots and couldn't because of a caution flag that was not really necessary. And that's all it boils down to, unnecessary calls like that BS Kasey Kahne penalty from earlier in the race.

Considering that you one don't have a kid, and can't lay claim to how that works don't tell me because that is how it is. I pay bills too, have a single car that I'm paying off, got massive college expenses to pay just like you. Considering my job as well, I could go on but I'm not going to lay out my financial woes in public if you want to continue this portion we can in private, I'm doing so out of respect for both of us.

Yeah I'm in the same boat, yet I still find a way to watch the races free, I too can't afford cable and the cable I could afford wasn't a high enough package to get any racing channels.

What proof do I need the guy led many laps and the final lap and had the fastest car out there, he blocked Denny well no matter how fast it seemed Denny was coming and Junior just spoke about this in the interview. If he thought he won by luck he would have said that. The great thing about Junior is his honesty about anything that happens on the track. If he had run up through the pack on the last lap and took the lead then the caution came out, I might see the conspiracy angle.

Okay then call it a stupid call, but you diminish the win of any driver when you call conspiracy, especially one that is known to be a plate race master and in the last 4 races has finished in the top 3 but hey...

I'm glad I gave up on the race at midnight, the finish was 4:30AM which would've put me in full zombie mode today.

It might not have been the car I wanted to win but it's a Hendrick Chevy 👍

Dale Jr. kept his word about twitter.

https://twitter.com/dalejr

And just like that (along with the 2014 season):

Win and get in is cool so far, but Im worried about drivers tanking a race late to give a slower teammate a win and a chase birth

This, probably. What did you say?

I thought it was a great race and a good win... eventually :D

It's hard to believe that Dale is 40 years old now.
Technically, not until October. I'm only stating that because I will also turn 40 this year, but I'm not 40 yet, dammit! :D

He needs to do something like this to prove it really is him.
Kelly was tweeting about it earlier so it is him.
Feel bad for him because of all the **** a twitter account comes with when you're Dale Jr.

The racin was fantastic after the rain break, made up for that sorry race last year. I was hopin my boy Landon was going to win (Was up in top 15 all night), but it's a good thing for American motorsports in general when Dale Earnhardt Jr. wins the biggest race of the year (Sorry Indy) to the general public.

He's tweeted a few more times. One picture of his car, and a selfie of him in front of the statue of his father.

I doubt anyone else could pull off Dale Jr selfies.

Edit: Unrelated, but

IT'S HAPPENING.

Doesn't change the fact that they have allowed it in the past.
Not since 2003 they haven't. That is the whole point of the "free pass" rule, a caution freezes the field so nobody has to race back to the line through a wreck. I can't remember the race, but I do recall Terry Lebonte sitting completely sideways in the center of the track, drivers side facing the oncoming traffic with 15-20 screaming cars coming out of turn 4 straight at him trying to be first back to the line! Ask Terry how he feels about the rule :)

That's during a race though, we're talking about the last lap where racing to the flag doesn't really put anyone in harms way. Especially when the wreck is in the last corner.

If the wreck is at the back of the pack, I can understand letting them race their way back. When the wreck is in the middle of the pack, you have to have a caution. Some driver in the back of the pack will feel obligated to try to drive through the wreck for one or two more positions, which could absolutely kill someone if someone slid down the track right in front of them.

Pretty sure it was at Martinsville, and Dale Jarrett was the one in the crash.
