He's tweeted a few more times. One picture of his car, and a selfie of him in front of the statue of his father.

I doubt anyone else could pull off Dale Jr selfies.

Edit: Unrelated, but

IT'S HAPPENING.

Pwawhblem bro?

Phoenix entry list out. Scott is in 33, Cassill is in the 40, Wifebeater is in the 32, Joe is in the 66, and Shepard is trying to make the race again this week in the 87

Looks like SPEE... uh, FOX Sports 1's Rick Allen got a new gig. "NASCAR America" debuted on NBC Sports Network today. He's joined by Jeff Burton for this show. The show's set even featured what looked like panels of a stock car with the number 15 now- signifying the NBC family of networks will be showing NASCAR Cup and Nationwide action starting with the 2015 season.

By the way, congratulations to Dale Earnhardt Jr. on winning the 2014 Daytona 500. I saw most of the race before the rain delay. Congratulations to all winners from Daytona and from every other division of NASCAR that raced this past weekend.

Wow I hadn't heard about the Kvapil thing. Although in the last few years I really haven't paid any attention to ANYTHING NASCAR related in the off season.

Hopefully JR has a stellar season this year (championship sure would be a nice send off for Stevie).

Either way another JJ year would probably send me away from the sport altogether. I dont have the stomach to hear him constantly compared to Petty and SR if that happens.

Congrats to Dale Jr winning the Daytona 500! Anyway, I had to keep on extending my DVR up to 12 hours to get the full broadcast recorded. I'm deleting the commercials out right now so I can put it on a DVD. Who do you guys think will win the next race?

Next track is Phoenix. I'd say Carl Edwards or Matt Kenseth. The Dale Jr fan in me says, well Dale Jr, but I feel like either Edwards or Kenseth will have a strong performance and win. Maybe even Denny Hamlin. :)

Hoping a Smoke comeback is not out of the question! Though unlikely. I can hope! :)

Jimmie. He and Chad want to win and get in the Chase early so that they can spend even more time testing and experimenting for it this year.

We sort of need an in-car from Johnson or Stenhouse Jr. to see when the caution was thrown. Based on the image, Gordon was ahead of Brad before the caution flew.

Brad was half a car-length ahead of Gordon. They were, at best, side-by-side when Kyle Busch got sideways in the middle of the track. Gordon pulled ahead (rather quickly) after the wreck.

Jeff Gordon to be sponsored by Texas A&M University. Absolutely love it. If only I could afford to go to an American University...

I just saw re-runs of the Budweiser Duels. Daytona 500 is on later tonight.

All I can say is that I thought *we* had ridiculous qualifying and race formats.

Who is "we"? Don't worry, it will get better, Daytona is always different. They are changing to a three round knock out format similar to F1 instead of single car, single fast lap. I have been watching NASCAR for over 40 years and have never bothered tuning into qualifying...way too boring. I at least have a reason to check it out this year.

My neighbor Stan attends many NASCAR races. He reports attendance is way down, and the rebuild of Daytona will eliminate over 50,000 seats (in order to make the remaining seats appear more filled).

NASCAR is searching for rules, formats and schemes to draw more fans, especially youthful ones. I would advise them to make the cars look more like dragons, complete with belching flames.
