This will still depend on whether the BMW won't be restricted heavily like how the Honda was after winning 2013.

Holy 🤬 did I NOT see that coming!! Plato AND Turks in the SAME team!? With Any Priaulx and Rob Collard (possibly Tordoff also if he can find the sort of form and potential for me he never really showed at MG) at WSR we could be for one heck of an Independent class in 2015. Motorbase must be wondering where their chances of doing something is going to. Not only as their main rival got some decent guns but a new rival has popped up with an emerging talent and TWO 2x Champions!

I guess I will have two Independent teams to follow now. I didn't mind BMR last year. Quite liked them. I was right in front when Plato pranged Menu into the gravel at Clervaux corner. I was in the stand. I was quite sad. I like the approach the team have. I think they are massively passionate about a serious campaign as we saw with the signings of Colin and Jason.

But I think there is still a place for Alain Menu in the BTCC and I do think 888 is it. What? So at Croft a day after my birthday I will effectively be looking forward to seeing a cartoon character? Give ower'! I think an actual real life human being person will be in the second MG seat and I can see Alain fitting in. A big name driver in a big name team. And with Andrew Jordan as team-mate I hope to see some chemistry formed. That Dick Dastardly thing has to be a joke surely. Nobody, even at 888, could be that stupid.

well if thats the case I would expect maybe a driver from WTCC or something maybe even Menu, and a terrible pay driver.

Great to see Plato and Turkington racing those beautiful Passats 👍 next season! Hope Menu and Goff will stick around as well :nervous:

Today was cold and wet, a complete contrast to yesterday.

I really like black sponserless race cars, but I don't think that comes across at all.

Nice shots!

Hear anything of a reported incident in BMR Garage that resulted in a mechanic being taken to hospital?

No, but that may explain why they'd packed up and left before the 4th closed wheel session started. All seemed fine at 12.30 but they'd gone by 3.

I'm just gonna leave this here

Nice. Before anyone jumps to conclusions it is a fake mock up however.

EDIT: Mat Jackson spied with Motorbase today as Thruxton.

I didn't realize until I saw this pic( @Roo ) just how small the BMW is:eek:

Also, gorgeous shots Roo!

It's a similar size to all the others - a combination of the road cresting just beyond where Jordan's MG is and the angle of the shot make it look smaller than it actually is. It's the same length and height as an ordinary 1 series BMW, and about 6 inches wider each side.

That VW just looks so nice. I can't wait :D

3 year deal with the new licence rules if I remember right?

Really, really slow on this. So, Yuassa Honda are sticking with the Tourer? Thought they weren't, for some reason.

Yuasa Honda's new car hasn't been built yet. Many assume it's going to be the new Type-R, but nobody really knows.
