Jack goff in the second MG

New manufactor possibly coming in 2016.

Depper confirmed in the 2nd eurotech car and James Cole testing for motorbase today

New manufacturer?

If that happens the smartest thing they could do is do it with WSR.

The team have approached the manufactor not the manufactor approaching the team.

I like Goff but I was hoping for Ingram to get that MG.

Hopefully Goff can recapture the speed he had at Brands, when he nearly beat Shedden in the wet.

Sssh! My evoque btcc project was a secret!

Been there, done that

Meanwhile I see HARD's entry has been confirmed by ToCA and United's second Avensis and licence is up for sale. And I remembered earlier we've heard nothing from #RacingForHeroes since it was announced. I guess things will be a lot clearer come media day

Think RWD

I think even @Furinkazen will agree no one will get it but again nothing is set in stone.

Not surprised nobody will get it if they have to think RWD. I am a big car fan and most makes and models leap out at me, but for the life of me I can't seem to get RWD cars to for the same.

I know what I would like to see as a manufacturer but that is purely my own opinion. I could offer suggestions till the cows come home about who the rumoured factory is and not be anywhere near, as this is the first I have heard about a new factory in 2016. But which ever it is, to possibly have FOUR factories in the BTCC will be much more like how the ST era should have been. I only saw it on BBC's Grandstand with Murray Walker commentating but I only got into the BTCC in 2001 with the likes of Eaves, Muller and Reid. I didn't really know anything about it at the time I was watching it. And what I know now is that whilst it did attract top talent and loads of manufacturers, it seems to me it was overspending. We are seeing the same level of interest grow but this time with a cost effective means of running cars.

The team have approached the manufactor not the manufactor approaching the team.

Should have made it more clear it well be a non factory team, its a privateer team approaching a manufactor to see if they can use their cars.

Im thinking Lexus then, an IS touring car would fit really well.

Or just totally reworded it ;) I'm sure that teams approaching manufacturers is a fairly common thing, after all they do need permission to run the cars.

Robb Holland has sold the A3 and looks as though he won't race at all this year although he's aiming for a partial programme. I guess that means he's keeping his entry licence.

The car hasn't really been sold its sitting smashed up in a warehouse what has been sold though is the TBL ;)

Interesting @Holdenhsvgtsr I wondered who would buy a car without being able to actually enter it

That's made me think of a good question, how many NGTC cars are in existence today? Built, seen-in-the-flesh cars I mean so no Meganes or Volvos or Evoques :sly: Must be at least 50 if you assume that none have been written off?

Who's to say they don't have a car ;)

Are we talking about complete cars?

Wrathalls 2011 Toyota was the one written off at Donington I think, so 49 ;) and the Morgan car was half cannabilised into the Mercedes I think..

Oops I've opened a can of worms and the worms are a metaphor for @Holdenhsvgtsr's cryptic answers

It's gonna be a hard one to figure out lol, @Furinkazen you're right about the Morgan Avensis and I remember reading about another one that was rebuilt into something but I forget which :ouch: Also how many of Eurotech's Civics are former Team Dynamics cars? I know Jordan's was built for him but were any others built? I guess the MGs are still the original ones?....

Edit: I think the Insignias were converted to the Passats
Edit 2: Although do I remember Goff driving the Insignia whilst his Passat was being built mid-season?

The tourers were built out of 2013 cars, Eurotech have the 2012 ones.
