I think I read somewhere at the time of his original announcement that he would reconsider missing Rockingham depending on how things were going in either BTCC or ELMS. From what I gather Marc VDS are struggling with the Z4 so if he has a genuine title chance in BTCC he might switch.

I don't see that happening, considering he has continued to repeat his answers again recently that he won't be at Rock. It will be a shame. Plus he is desperate to drive the Z4, watch his Twitter and you can see he is dying to race the Z4. he missed the media day for BTCC too so I don't think he is fully invested into the BTCC unfortunately.

Well he is a BMW Factory driver, BMW won't let him ruin a BTCC Title chance to satisfy a customer contract, they can easily get another driver to cover his spot.

I'd agree but BMW pay him to race the Z4. If come Rock and he isn't winning I see him missing the event. It can go either way but for him to miss it he will have to winning. BMW won't be best pleased if he drove for a team that basically has no BMW support, he's do what BMW want him too.

I wonder why there's no Tesco livery on any of the BMRs, something to do with their recent troubles I'd expect. Are they still sponsoring Plato?

I believe they aren't showing it due to the people being laid-off

If you look carefully the cars are actually covered with a sheeting of some sort. I believe that the BMR guys will still be sponsored by Tesco, they're just going to tear the covers off tonight or before the race.

No one said it yet. Yes, well done to Prialux but I think Smith did a mega job. Grid shaken up so should be a good race tomorrow.

@Furinkazen yep you heard right mate, Menu is a driver coach at BMR, not sure what he can do though lol

BMW are paying him to drive the Z4 its personal sponsors who are funding his BTCC drive so yes bmw would let him ruin a BTCC title chance.

I had the biggest smile on my face at the and of Qually. Honestly I couldn't be happier. Since I'm making good on my vow to visit all the BTCC rounds if Priaulx came to the series, this totally already makes up for the (not small) expense. Awesome result.

I was opposite Warren Scott when he crashed, think he caught the end of the barrier at a funny angle, that was the loudest crunch I've heard at a race.

Infiniti looked like a rolling road block eveytime I saw it. But looks good in touring car trim.

At one point in FP the VW's were running together, and man, they look like they mean business!

I also bought a car sticker..

Yeh I can't imagine it will go on, and it's also a bit of a worry if Tesco pull out. I presume it's a big chunk of BMR's income and I can't see any reason for Tesco to continue supporting Plato if he's not driving a Tesco liveried car
