I missed that... Why did they redraw? Did he think Austin had cheated??
It's easy to spot your number and keep your hand on it while "mixing" the balls.

Ahhh I see, I've always thought it was strange to have a driver picking out the number. Surely it's make more sense to have a neutral party pick it out...

Hahaha Plato just made his way though the minnows.

I don't know too much about Priaulx being young lol, but am I the only one that thinks he's really dirty. I mean, yeah plato is a bit, wild lol, but he'd never do some of the things Priaulx has this weekend.

No, sorry... what did Andy do that was dirty? Apart from profit from Newshams ridiculous yet brilliant divebomb?

Personally that move at the end wasn't a touring car bump. He came flying in, used the others as brakes and benefited from it. I don't see that as even touring cars, just dirty.

An interview for Autosport he gave, he admitted that he will hit others to close their exhausts up losing hem power. I mean, come on, that's poor sportsmanship.

I may anger a few people lol but so far he hasn't made a good impression on me. Hopefully it's just due to him being a bit ragged due to rejoining the series.

Plato is probably the most disgustingly untalented overtaker motorsport has ever been graced with. Priaulx was almost too clean in R1 today, and he did nothing at all to provoke anyone in either R2 or R3.

Newsham pulled a divebomb on Abbott, pulled them both wide, and Priaulx drove through a perfectly suitable sized gap to take advantage of it. There wouldn't even have been any contact if those two hadn't tried to ram each other back onto the racing line. I can show you far, far worse touring car moves if you wish, and if you did that in RX, you would get laughed at.

I don't know what that means, at all, but bumper latching happens on every lap of every BTCC race, so I don't see your issue there... again, Plato wouldn't do more and just cleanly ram you from behind?

I don't see how he's been ragged at all, apart from leaving the door open a bit in R1. He's got right in the mix, fairly, and hasn't provoked anyone, or got the attention of the stewards. Success all round.

And not making a good impression... honestly, if Plato makes a good impression on you and a far more inoffensive driver doesn't, I'm just striking that down to poor double standards.

Plato should get a Goodwrench Livery, it will complete the Villian theme with his Black VW lol.

think we'll have to agree to disagree

I know plato isn't a fair driver but I just didn't think some of the moves priaulx made seemed right to me. But then again it could have just be camera angle etc and in heat of the moment, and watching it back may see there was nothing wrong :) 👍

Shame to see AJ still not back to his best :(

Been weighing everything up in my head, and I think that move may be the worst of the 2015 season.

In theory it makes complete sense, but im not sure what has happened inbetween.

I have very long, complex reasoning for it, but in short:

I always remember Plato saying the MG6 was a 3 year development programme. I question the amount of factory effort MG actually provide to 888, and most importantly, whether the development cycle peaked as Plato said it would, and the car simply isn't competitive enough to be at the very sharp end. He was slightly forced into the move, but I don't think the MG is a good enough package.

See you guys for Rounds 4, 5 & 6 at Donington Park!

Really praying to god that someone is uploading the full races to Youtube this season or I won't be able to watch today back :scared:

It was a good day but the wind was very chilly when the sun went in. I hate the new warm-up lap song, at least the old one was bad in a funny way but this new one is just bad  I'm backing the new grid and ballast rules, I thought the new race 2 grid rules were a bit pointless at first and although I was clueless as to what most of the grid was for race 2, I think it worked. And obviously I'd have a much better idea watching it on TV.

Really shocked at Priaulx, I think he needs to learn to conserve his tyres a bit better! I also didn't get any impression of him being dirty, but when you can see 90% of the track you're eyes wonder and you miss things so I don't want to comment too much on particular drivers until I've watched the races back (and I don't think anyone needs to worry about indented exhausts, they're all side-exit exhausts aren't they lol).

I think I was the only person to notice Plato's puncture straight away. He came off right in front of us and I saw the deflated tyre but everyone was adamant he just binned it, so I had a smug look on my face when the commentator confirmed it

Highlight of the day? It's a tie between shouting 'GET A HAIRCUT' at James Hunt's grandson as he was driving to the grid and shouting 'WHERE'S YOUR HAT MATE' at Shedden because he didn't have his stupid Rockstar hat on. He was not impressed :sly:

They added Auto Glym logo's to the rear doors after qualifying, I guess they won't run Warren Scott's energy drink logo's because they need paying sponsors and don't want to scare them off.

Surely Plato's gonna lose that Tesco money if they're not getting (or wanting) any exposure from it. I wonder if he's got a contract for this season?

Good point, I forgot about the KX Academy thing. Just looked at the website and it's not been updated since the start of last season it seems :odd:
