Today is going to prove an interesting day, Prialux has massive potentially to clean the floor of the rest of the pack in the races today - but those VWs do look like the main contenders this Season, don't be surprised if at least two of the CCs end up in the Top 3 of the Standings come the end of the Season! Let's also hope that Martin Depper doesn't have the same bad luck he had last year, as I think he has a good potential to do well! That is, if his car doesn't fall apart...

Prialux looking good for 2 wins today. Wonder how the softer tyres will cope with the cars running max ballast, race 3 could be interesting.

WSR have played that well with Priaulx. He can streak away in R1, bag a win, and with clean air and softs can set laps for a grid slot at the front of R2...

I'm hoping so .

Weather could play a part though, it was nice a few minutes ago but it's clouding up more now.

I think they have a good mix WSR. I would say that as a huge WSR fan. Andy is the world-class talent in the team. Collard is the veteran who knows the BTCC inside and out. An Tordoff is the young gun and I think without Plato holding him back he can now make his own name.

Surprised about the Honda's. Shedden and Neal have achieved total stability for many years. I do think though with the Civic Type R they will come good later in the season.

Warren Scott pulled of a master-stroke signing two 2x BTCC Drivers Champions. But as we saw with Muller and Plato at Vauxhall in 2001 two big ego's I think will always think they should be top dog and will battle each other as much as everyone else. But Turkington and Plato won't I think be allowed to do that at BMR.

MG are risking a lot with Goff and Jordan. A new partnership. But I think now away from Eurotech I think Andrew will be a more race focused driver and Jack Goff is I hope an emerging talent. They could deliver later on this year given time.

Hopefully the other Independent drivers like Aiden Moffatt will do their bit.

The new intro is better than last year, but still a bit naff because minimalist and trap music because BTCC is so hip.

I do believe that BMR shall be the ones to look out for this Season, defiantly! I'm surprised Seat and Skoda have not decided to invest in the BTCC these days!

Skoda I think are investing more in the ERC and SEAT I think is focusing on making cars for teams in the new TCR Series.

The biggest question is how the BMW will cope with their Ballast now being put as far forward as possible.

Also hoping Adam Morgan can manage a consistent top 8 run this season :D
He seemed pretty confident and relaxed on Facebook earlier. I think he'll be making his way through the field pretty quickly...

No Protons start - and ITV4 timing screen fail with splits.

Why is it surprising? WSR won in dominate style, still no support. If a team that dominates doesn't get the manufactors support than I doubt any of them would randomly jump into the sport. Seat already have the TCR league, and Skoda well don't really have interest but both are owned by VW - which are solely focused on kicking everyone in the WRC.

VW's still in Deathstar Black trim. HERE. WE. GO.

BTCC is in a period of huge growth right now, I think the Manufacuters are looking at it but its doubtful they will all come at once, fact is we have gained Infiniti as a factory team since last year so that's a plus(maybe some Nismo athlete connections might come from it too in the future).

Haaawwwaaaayyyy the Beemers! Priaulx and Collard 1-2!

Don't understand that. Why is RWD considered more of an advantage than FWD?

Because better acceleration, Weight distribution, Grip off the line and better steering ability.

Usually to make it more equal the RWD cars will have to carry a higher minimum Weight, I know that FWD cars have a Differential advantage in BTCC though.

Don't think Moffats new aero package will catch on.

Is not not possible to make them all FWD or RWD?

You say it's manufacutored supported but considering they only have one car and basically half a day test - not very impressive compared to Team Dynamics if you ask me. They just want their car/brand out to new people, they probobly just give them the cars and walk off.

Priaulx running into tyre deg and this is bringing the top 4 right together.

Collard on the inside and Priaulx down to 4th!

Well yes, but good bye Infiniti and BMW, or in the othercase 75% of the grid.

I think having RWD and FWD in BTCC should stay though, despite the drama it makes it a good vareity, infact I support AWD as well but they should Carry some kind of penalty in Wet conditions.
