I think the DRM mods are just amazing

i actually have a horrible wip version by Dan Boersma that i found somewhere. it's not usable as of now but if someone would like to have a look. There is also a bad conversion of the Rfactor/STCC one.
Only track here in Norway i can't find lidar data for, but it's the one we all want
Even non-VR racing can be nutty-green at times...
For those that like to race many laps on this epic track, here's a non-sore-eyes skin version... very much alike the concrete wall colour in the pit area with a slighter dark shade.
seems that if you make texture changes via CSP "extension", they do not render in CMShowroom or Showroom in CM or AC showroom..
only on track.
or... did I hit that spliff too hard?
Crikey, it must be hard sim racing with one hand, but I know a few people who race in VR with the driver/wheel not visible. To me it looks odd but I guess I'd get used to it after a while.

Bathurst FM7, added streams and point (lines and edges of runnig/dripping wateer) to all the overhead signs etc, got about half the marshall's stations and some other signs... halfway around the track I am asking myself why I never saw all the damn marshal stations before, track is littered with them.. some other soul with an hour to kill can update the rest of them, got most of the big signs on side of road as well.

That's the way it is on the list of repairs, I'll fix it probably but not earlier than in about 3 weeks. Maybe someone else will do it faster.

OK so I am in the process of doing a few things to the tracks i have found so far.
I have about 6.
I am adding grass fx / light configs and doing some alternative surfaces and general 'updates' to trees etc.
They are really great and the cars i have had for ages but with no where to really use them.
Give me a few more days and i will be uploading them for you.
What is Buxton like as i have not come across that one?
I would give anything to find a Brisca F1 mod.
I have rooted around everywhere. Rfactor 1 has a massive base of mods and players, the folks who were using AC as a platform shifted over to wreckfest. Shame as the standard is very high at least for the cars...

I have been doing some colour changes to the Porsche GT3 RS, along the lines of the Paint to Sample program Porsche runs, the wing end plates bother me a little on some colours I would like them to match the wing supports, I have figured out the easiest way to do this is to get the results I want is to change the material using Content Manager from [EXT_Carpaint_Plastic] to [EXT_Carpaint_Aluminium], the colour can then be changed using [metal_detail_spoiler] which works for me.
However the problem being this is a global change to the car, so affects every skin, is there a way to make this sort of change per skin rather than per car? Allowing it to be shared by just posting the skin folder?
Could you risk a repetitive strain injury? (i'm not kidding BTW, totally serious about this)
Well you can either extract that specific texture from cm, paint it with Photoshop or other programs and put the edited texture in the skin folder or you can change materials and shaders using an ext config file. Changing car materials is not really recommended, we have csp configs for that reason
Thanks, I do realise its not the best way of doing things thus the question I need to do some reading on ext config files for AC, changing the texture isn't possible as it is used elsewhere on the car, splitter / sills etc.
I haven't seen that specific texture but even if it is applied to other parts you might find in it the one you want to re color and recolor just that part leaving the rest of the texture as it was. If you want to read about ext config and pbr check the csp github (you probably already know but I will say it just in case)
Yeah no chance of that, I've been in contact with a few guys on facebook, like i say its Wreckfest now or rfactor 1 where they all are.
Shame as AC seems to work really well on these tracks.

Did some dirt variants also and aim to do some more of those...
I figure if others like them and want to improve then even better.

I am waiting for one of the main guys behind this to contact me back to see if he wants to start up this project again.
I have not made any of these obviously, just packed them up for ease and added configs etc.
Also could someone do me a MASSIVE favour and try to find out why this track here saps performance so much?
Absolutely destroys my frame rate this one track and it is tiny..
Here is a quick fix for now but maybe this is my next candidate for wipers and LODS

@safi hellie There is a newer version from last year with bit better performance but still very low for that very small track.
Just looked at the track: 7500 single objects, that's far too much.
SShould be around 1000, but with this small track, could easily be reduced to 200.
(only 138 materials)
I loved this track too, in GTR2.
But it's not from STCC, but an old scratch made track made by Tommy Rustad for F1-2002.
I have other WIP's going on now, but maybe EASY wants to have a go?

I think I need change a material applied to mesh object [GEO_Wing_SUB0] via an ext.config file, but really no clue on how to make it, any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated!

You keep the objects but you melt them together if they have the same material.
