Someone should totally build https://acr.no/ (aka Mo i Rana)
There is a version for rFactor which was converted from STCC I think. It's very fun but way too outdated to even convert to AC I think.
The guy who made Willow Springs, Washington DC, etc would do a stellar job on it no doubt...
Good bit of elevation change with some very fast corners

That green wall at willow springs been bugging the **** out of me, jar's the landscape. I know it really is that color, but, if anyone lives there, tell em to repaint it!
I faded it out like the colour of the rooftops in the track, kinda sunbleached? so it is still green, but blends a bit more into the gorgeous backdrops of the desert. Beauty of AC, dont like a thing, change it!
Crikey, it must be hard sim racing with one hand, but I know a few people who race in VR with the driver/wheel not visible. To me it looks odd but I guess I'd get used to it after a while.I have only used VR a few times (actually my friend was borrowing Mika Salo's Oculus) in a motion rig.
Its good but I have been waiting for "new tech".
I only have one hand, its super weird to see two hands in VR... and try to use a missing limb hah. However I am convinced it will be great.
One session I was testing a physics mod for a pro league, and the cars rear end started to come around at the to of Eau Rouge... my head swivelled to keep a reference point as I spun... and recovered in a very natural way!
(also I am out of work at the moment... anyone need a penetration tester?)

i actually have a horrible wip version by Dan Boersma that i found somewhere. it's not usable as of now but if someone would like to have a look. There is also a bad conversion of the Rfactor/STCC one.
Only track here in Norway i can't find lidar data for, but it's the one we all want![]()
Hi JkubP!!! nice car, I like it, a hot-hatch icon!! but I have 2 problems with it, first, the wheels+tyres have not shadow; in showroom and track, and the calipers dont turn with the wheels, maybe can you fix it? it is a lovely car

I've seen a few mentions on facebook of British Stock Car mods and tracks, but I'm having zero luck finding them, or getting anyone to send a link. There were about 4 or 5 tracks mentioned, of which 2 were Scarborough and Yarmouth (I've found Buxton), and I've seen some Escort stock cars and a Brisca Formula 1. Does anyone have links to these please?
Thanks for that, really appreciate it. Buxton is a bit crappy - its some kind of drift version.Sorry missed this.
Give me a few more days and i will be uploading them for you.
What is Buxton like as i have not come across that one?
I would give anything to find a Brisca F1 mod.
I have rooted around everywhere. Rfactor 1 has a massive base of mods and players, the folks who were using AC as a platform shifted over to wreckfest. Shame as the standard is very high at least for the cars...
DO you have wreckfest?
It is worth it for the mods for sure.
Update to track folder.

Hockenheim 1988 v2.6 UPDATE
It was a blood sweat and tears job, but I succeeded in reducing the number of faces in the trees.kn5 from 1,600,000 to 84,000.
Apparently all the trees had been doubled about 4 times...
I really hope the FPS are much better for most of you now.
There will be some minor updates in the future, but this one was urgent
Since March 11th I have been a professional bass player without a gig... thanks to corona.
So if you buy me a beer on Paypal, that would really keep me motivated
But also if you don't: enjoy the tracks!

Could you risk a repetitive strain injury? (i'm not kidding BTW, totally serious about this)Guys sorry for off topic, but I need an answer quickly. I added a full size steering wheel (don't mind the emblem, I own a mustang IRL, thought it would be cool) to my Thrustmaster TX base. The wieght of the wheel is creating the need to turn up my FFB. (for size reference, my monitor is 55 inches) I think the wheel is 14 inches? Will I hurt anything by turning FFB up to 200% in Assetto Corsa? Is anyone running FFB that high?

Well you can either extract that specific texture from cm, paint it with Photoshop or other programs and put the edited texture in the skin folder or you can change materials and shaders using an ext config file. Changing car materials is not really recommended, we have csp configs for that reason
Thanks for that, really appreciate it. Buxton is a bit crappy - its some kind of drift version.
Brisca F1 (3 years ago though, so surely further finished by now):

That's the way it is on the list of repairs, I'll fix it probably but not earlier than in about 3 weeks. Maybe someone else will do it faster.
Also could someone do me a MASSIVE favour and try to find out why this track here saps performance so much?
Absolutely destroys my frame rate this one track and it is tiny..

Bathurst FM7, added streams and point (lines and edges of runnig/dripping wateer) to all the overhead signs etc, got about half the marshall's stations and some other signs... halfway around the track I am asking myself why I never saw all the damn marshal stations before, track is littered with them.. some other soul with an hour to kill can update the rest of them, got most of the big signs on side of road as well.

@safi hellie There is a newer version from last year with bit better performance but still very low for that very small track. Can't help you, just confirming that this is a genuine slideshow... 28.4 fps AVG !![]()
Just looked at the track: 7500 single objects, that's far too much. Also could someone do me a MASSIVE favour and try to find out why this track here saps performance so much?

I haven't seen that specific texture but even if it is applied to other parts you might find in it the one you want to re color and recolor just that part leaving the rest of the texture as it was. If you want to read about ext config and pbr check the csp github (you probably already know but I will say it just in case)

SShould be around 1000, but with this small track, could easily be reduced to 200.
(only 138 materials)
Then the track would look empty.Cool, do i do that by removing track objects?
