Before I went to their Facebook page and readed some comments, I wasn’t aware RSS & VRC were on the same way about Formula E, no Facebook, no fresh news here ! ^^

It’s stupid but I’m thinking doing a good Formula E (I forgot ACFL intentionally) could be a good cash machine because times are changing, electricity is the future in racing..!
It could be great if some paymods studios have some "Gentleman agreements" and go away from this sort of situation.

I was hoping a Ferrari 126C2 from 1982, I’m often so naive !

Seriously, the Formula 1 McLaren 32 V6 Turbo Hybrid, what the hell with this choice !?
Too much information is never a good thing sometimes..! ^^

No you will not lose anything, yes, just let CM know where the new game location is.

Great to see tracks being converted from all these old school sim-cade/arcade games. One game series is sorely missing though....Ridge Racer! I would KILL to see tracks converted from Ridge Racer Type 4, RR5, 6, & 7.

....the list goes on and on. If there's one thing the Ridge Racer series does better than any other racer, it's fun tracks! The roadside scenery and elavation changes are second to none. C'mon ACU, if you're reading this, please consider porting over tracks from the Ridge Racer series.

Virtua Simulazioni is proudly releasing the McLaren MP4-13. The car is reproduced accurately, with fine details allowing you to have a perfect immersive experience.

It includes both of the authentic liveries used during the F1 1998 season, driven by Mika Häkkinen and David Coulthard, along with the orange liveries used during the preseason tests. Additional content also includes a special historic McLaren’s livery, with slick tyres, and an official Virtua Simulazioni skin.

It works fine on my side. If you're using shader patch, try without. My only installed mod is stflow in my current assetto corsa game.

I had the same problem. The renamed Driver Modell driver_1998 in the driver3d.ini causes the crash. As quick workaround I renamed, in the driver directory ..\assettocorsa\content\driver\, an older Driver_Mclaren_1991.kn5 that I had to driver_1998.kn5. But Apexxer will surely fixes it correctly. You have only to wait a little while.

I’m far from my PC but I’m thinking that the content of the « drivers folder » is missing.
That’s probably why it works for some of you because it stills exist the missing files in the « driver folder » of AC. ;-)
Some mods/skins got always a particulary « driver folder » to work or/and offer a personalized helmet, gloves, etc..! ;-)

Here is a re-pack with I hope the missing content - i.e. the 1988 driver and also a missing font (taken from https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/physics-and-sound-update-for-vs-mclaren-mp4-13.18016/)

I also reverted to the original NeverKrash sounds because I think they are much better, but you can use the previous ones by replacing the contents of the content\cars\vsf1_mclaren-mp413\sfx folder

Do you know that function of CM for fixing crashed or invalid files?
For that, you must go to the content tab and choose the car you will fix. At the bottom on the left of the picture of the car you can select some features like "Replace sound" or "Replace tyres". Also you can select the "Analyze"-Tab, which allows you to search the problems of the Car. If there are some, you can see the reason and the solutions for it. Then you can choose between fixing the issue or hidding it. CM will fix most of all problems by itself.

I'm 100% sure I already had his rather gorgeous Porsche 909 Bergespyder, but can't find it in my collection. The LODs were always broken so the car disappears a short distance ahead of you in spec races (leaving the driver floating in air) and I couldn't work out how to fix it properly - the normal techniques didn't seem to work. In the end I effectively ignored lod1 by unpacking the data and editing the lods.ini to:

FILE=gd_porsche_909_bs.kn5

OUT=5550

...which is a clumsy way of doing it but it works. It's a pretty efficient model anyway so the lod1 isn't really missed.

If anyone can fix the lods and preserve the lod1 at the same time then please post the ini.

Thanks a lot for sharing this - the car is indeed really good, one of the better mods in fact.

The LOD1 looks to be of the same size than the actual car so it looks that it is not really an LOD if I am not mistaken, therefore not worth preserving any way.
Also the model comes in with only about 68k polys and a full grid of these cars really doesn't strain the computer much compared to normal sized cars.

My issue with the mod is a different one though. It seems the Ai cannot handle the rev sensitive engine and if you run a race with damage on the Ai will constantly blow their engine whenever they try to start the car (pulling out of the pits as well as race starts).

I tried to mess with the Ai and damage ini files to no avail, even tried to copy over those files from the Kunos Porsche 908LH, again, no solution for the issue :-(

Someone has an idea how to fix this issue?

I re-uploaded the mods I reworked following your suggestions:
_Uploaded the cars individually
_They now have a different folder name so they won't overwrite to the original ones
_Added an optional UI that you can drop in the car folder that will rename the car with an "M" as a suffix (to distinguish them from the original ones, if needed)
_Added changelogs in each folder (The changelogs will be more accurate in the future)

I didn't include two cars this time (Porsche 901 and Porsche 991.2 GT2 RS) because I have to check if I made more than visual updates to them (AD made already a "good" job in copy/pasting the data from the kunos 911 GT3 XD). It would be redoundant to share a mod that has already been shared on the forum.

Thanks for sharing this package, I have yet to try some of them.

Would you mind to share the Porsche 901 mod though - I am a huge Porsche nut and would love to give the 901 a try.

Yes I saw that function in CM but in this case it did not find the problem using analyze, only said driver missing after game crash.
