Just got the email I was waiting for: VIP extras for LA Canyons 1.0
Let's the good time roll.:sly:

Since I am in VR, I would like to use the 2k texture available, but I do not know where to put it. it is in a \content\tracks\la_canyons\texture folder, but when looking in the LA_Canyon in my track folder, their is no texture folder.

Why are you sending those? I have them, just did not know what to do with them.

If you want to use the 2K textures, here's the readme about it:

Alternative roadside texture for LA Canyons 1.0
------------------------------------------------

Copy the texture folder into your root la_canyons folder.

If you have any performance issues or VR you can try the 2k roadside dirt texture.
Rename... lac_dirt_ground_06(2k).dds to... lac_dirt_ground_06.dds

Or if you have a powerful computer and would like to use the 8k roadside dirt texture.
Rename... lac_dirt_ground_06(8k).dds to... lac_dirt_ground_06.dds

These textures will then replace the default 4k texture.

The texture folder contains the two choices.

Thank you, I got the read me, the files, in the VIP email, the all shebang.
What I do not have is a texture folder in the track folder, same as in any other track, no texture folder there. should I just put the texture folder in the track folder? Is that what I am to assume?

Yes @Cote Dazur ...from what I have seen, in the updates from @Masscot , he adds the new textures into the textures folder in the root of the track.

Just make one yourself ( la_canyons\texture ) and put the "offending" :) textures there ... the game will prioritize them instead of the original ones.

Have fun ! and don't get mad if it doesn't work :)

ps.
take a look on one of the Masscot updated tracks and you will understand how it should be done ( at this moment I am not sure if the folder should be named texture or textures ...)

Anyone have any advice or know how to add lights to tracks? A lot of tracks I have don't have lights making it hard to do night races, especially if they have lights IRL like COTA or Watkins Glen.

Hi, I have a problem with Daytona, Sol lights don't work

Maybe you are missing the light config files ?
It's not SOL that provides the lights, but configs in the Custom Shaders Patch:
certainly working on my side ;)

I, too, do not work properly light config files that have "light pollution". Such as Suzuka 2018, Mugello, Macau. If someone has these files that work correctly in combination with Saul, I will be very grateful if you share them.

Someone from the SRP Discord server posted a screenshot showing a track that i do not have in my game.

The question, where can i get this track?

Why don't you ask them instead of here? People have no clue since you hardly provide any info about it.

Today a member at RD posted an update for Mondello Park but it seems he has removed it already. Is someone able to share this visual update again please? I came too late for a download. Thanks!

Why don't you just post it here since other people (like myself) may want it?

The track is freely available, the update is not because it has been deleted on RD.
I installed the update, so the only thing I can do is upload my own updated version to Mega.

Due to limited space, I'll leave it for a few days:

The weather state was set to No Clouds - Performance (SOL) and the track state was set to Optimum, why do the cars in the replay have spray and why does the loading screen say the track is Macau when this is the Dubai Autodrome? Especially since the screenshots I took when I first viewed the replay didn't have a spray?

Edit: So I tried closing CM completely and that seemed to do the trick
