All of the liveries I painted for this car have been taken without permissions and used in this.
Thanks for stealing all of my skins without even crediting the original creator.
Original post from 2017 in a different forum where they were released and proof they match 1:1

Quite sorry and no intention of stealing nor not crediting anyone.

These were the skins I had put when I installed the Velo mod long before I worked on it (and modified some skins as well created a few crappy ones).
I will add you now, if that is ok.

Accecpt my sincere apology.

Relax dude, not everyone in this community wants to steal things from others. Content created 6 years ago can easily lost track of its source with time. A friendly reminder should be more than enough, I'm quite sure.

Fantastic update, well done sir. Are you able to get the rain effects on the windscreens of the car, that would finish them off nicely.

Just noticed a small problem with the number on the skin, it's the same on both sides, are you able to fix ?

Mark

Is it just something with my settings maybe ?
The car has no sound and it won't move either (tried extended physics too to be sure it wasn't that).
Wiper works, lights work, I can shift gears, but that's about it... (race car, didn't install the street version).
EDIT: same with the street car I'm afraid.

It has engine start/stop function.
Press the extra D(or alt + Numpad+) key. You can turn on/off engine.
Found it now after reading the explanation in the YT video.
Works now.
I'm used to that in other sims (dedicated button on my button box for that), never had to use that in AC before though...

It's not the first time it has happened, people have been using our work from GTL/GTR2/rF1 since the day AC released, plenty of my stuff (the F1 1965 mod just to name one) was stolen and sold by SimDream and/or other scammers and claimed as theirs, Bazza has used (some, not much) stuff of mine and of other people as well in the past and the list goes on. I don't mind Bazza that much, he and Donnie (goes by SmallBlockHero, don't know if he's still active) used to be part of our various communities many years ago and they've been very open about where they source their stuff from, Rainmaker from this very same forum is another one that was around at the time as well and I remember him well; it's everybody else that should just walk off of a cliff.

In any case, this is the original full package of liveries that I made for the short nose version of the D-Type, covering the complete WSC history of the car, from 1954 to 1958. Given that some seem to be missing, might as well add them all and make a comprehensive package.

You really must think that people are stupid. It is fairly obvious that whoever this "Velo" person is, acted in bad faith as in order to bring this car to AC they had to:
-Find the website
-Register an account because visitors can't see anything otherwise (and thus can't even search for anything like "D-Type")
-Find the mod
-Not spend even just 5 seconds to at least copy & paste the names of the original creators (myself and MG421982)

The original mod was only released on one (1) forum, unless you knew it existed, you wouldn't have known where to even start looking for it. Meaning, this sorry excuse of a "modder" Velo deliberately chose not to include any mention of this mod being a conversion stolen from us, even though it would've been fine to just credit us otherwise.

Because even by giving the benefit of the doubt and assuming that this Velo person went the long way around and somehow got his hands on the original raw assets from Simraceway, they still have had to complete the steps above to find my skins because they had not been released anywhere else. And in the same place where he found those, he also had to scroll past our names to get to the download link.

This is not at all like casually browsing Reddit or Telegram and clicking on random download links with little to no information as to who made what. If you download the skins from my Mega link above, you will find a .txt file paired to each skin indicating not just which race/year it competed in, but also contain my own name next to it. Which is just another example of doing it in bad faith.

I don't care what you do with my work in the sense that it's out of my hands the moment I release it and that goes for everybody making mods. But it's just sad and disrespectful to see your name being erased from your own work and for no good reason other than perhaps trying to hide where you got the stuff from and pass it off as your own.

All in all, that's all I've got to say. Have a pleasant day.

anybody know how to fix the weird blue rivets I've always had with the Velo versions of the D Type? Otherwise, this is a great drive and love the skin work.
Use the file attatched, put in ./texture folder of the car

That skin seems to not work with the model, the mapping seems off.

thanks, tried it, had to put the file in the skin folders for it to actually do anything. Still seems to be almost like they are lit up to me, but oh well. (Oh and I tried different ppfs to see if that helped, its the same across the ppfs) Ill stick to the another D Type I have folder name: jaguar_d-type_mt no author listed. Thanks though, love lots that you do (especially the more historic/vintage) 👍

Hello guys!
Did you ever notice a problem in Monaco 1966 horizon?
There is no hills or mountains all around the circuit. Last days I wondered why I felt something different from reality and I found that huge lack in the horizon for catching the "real scenery atmosphere"!
Please, is there someone able to fix it by adding a mip or a sort of 3D model, just like in the modern version?
Cheers

Progress is going swiftly and smoothly. Lights, animations, cluster, paintshop (20 items!!), skins are all working. Just 2 (out of 9) more video's on the tutorial-serie. Big shout-out to Graveltrap :gtpflag:for helping me (he's doing 99,9% of the work) with the physics.

Same weather, time of day, spot, Sergio's version vs your shader overhaul (SOL, __sol_extra PP-filter)

Hmm. I specially had a look for those trees and changed to the original value. Must have missed them?

Most say I do prefer this more than all those low poly distance objects that usually pops out in your VR headset screen.
