Thats not the "common way" because i use the vanilla launcher for creating the championships. But while you are asking - thats the way how it´s working at least for me:

AI strenghts is set for all cars, according to your level.

But creating a season with the vanilla launcher i have always to replace the vanilla drivers with the real names first. And here could be the trick - you have to replace strong vanillas drivers with strong real ones and obviosly the avarage or the week ones with there real counterparts.

I am also using the 1992 tracks with the 1991 ASR cars, so if you want you could try my chamionship.file preset. I can upload it if you want. Shoud work

When you Talk about "vanilla" are you talking about the Assetto Corsa main menú? The Game itself? So, If I understand well, I must create the Championship in the Game, not in Content Manager, and then, change the names of The drivers.

I am making a kind of fictional "NASCAR '70/moonshine rebels series" mod that is practically ready... just testing each car now and tuning the AI, but it is taking some time, since there are more than 20 types of cars .
Have some more patience and you will be able to pick some sounds from there.

You saying there is a trans-AM, 70s NASCAR mod... would you be a bit more specific about the nascar '70 please ? I were not able to find one, hence why I started building one a few months ago.

yes vanilla mean only the launcher - the main menu. I always create championships there. Yes you can use ballast, restrictor but NO AI strength for each driver, only main AI strenght for all.

It looks like you might be missing the fonts that came with the car. They need to be installed too.

I can't see the location, but there should be more fonts (it's a communal folder). |
I think you've added them to the car folder?
They should go in ..\assettocorsa\content\fonts

Bad news never came alone... I tried to start Assetto Corsa from Steam and the Game doesn't pass the intro. I've checkered the files integrity and download the ones that cannot be checked, anyway the Game just don't wanna start... But runs perfect from Content Manager, seems like I must rename the main fólder and download the Game again, then copy paste and cross my fingers.

No one says it's would be easy...

There's a limit to how much mods you can have for starting AC from steam. And it's not a high number. I can confidently say none of us here can start it from steam anymore. It hangs on 99% checking content. This is normal behaviour.

Edit: I googled. 625 car mods is the limit.

Wich version of CSP are you using ?
It seems using the version 0.2.2 (not sure because I’m in the tube and not in front of my PC) is a solution.

Also i'm gonna throw a bottle in the sea here, but is there anyone who knows about UV mapping that would be willing to help me with a car?

I have a high quality BMW Sauber 08 F1 car that I would love to convert to Assetto corsa (paid 80 euros for that thing, would be a waste not to convert it) but it's mapped with blender "UV smart project" (so it looks like ****, no AO possible on that thing.) I've tried to learn uv mapping but for a beginner to map a high poly model it's kinda hard.

Yeah i think ales100i version is more realistic. I have round about 450 cars and about 180 tracks (+several variations not counting here) running.
Adding some more cars without deleting some others - ends in never ending loading the main menu.

For me it´s absolutely ok, i am not collecting, i need only the stuff i can run my championships with.
Speaking about the limits - 40 championships at once is also the vanilla limit.

I'm trying to updates previews for ASR Footwork FA13. For some reason CM gets stuck creating new previews. Out of thousands of cars this is the only car I've ever had this problem with. Anybody know a reason for this, or a possible solution?

What version of CSP are you running? I've found with the newer CSP versions some cars get "stuck". Rolling back to 1.79 allows the preview to get taken and then I just roll back to 2.2 or whatever it is up to now...

I'm on 0.1.79. I also tried going back to couple of older "recommended" versios, but no luck with Footwork.

Extract the data.acd with CM, delete the data.acd file then and try again. You should get a preview without problems then.

1. \rss_gtm_aero_v10_evo2\extension\display\display_2.lua can be opened in a text editor.
2. Where it says on line 84:

gameTime = sim.gameTime
formattedGameTime = string.format("%02d:%02d", math.floor((gameTime/(1000*60)))%60, math.floor((gameTime/1000))%60, math.floor((gameTime%1000)/100))

Replace with:

gameTime = {sim.timeHours, ":", sim.timeMinutes}
formattedGameTime = table.concat(gameTime)

3. Hit save

only had 1 low res picture to go from so that's why i call it a loose replica, the higher up you go on the car the more wobbly the uv map is, i have had to work with it as best i can. i have included an ext_config in the skin folder which applies shi's fix for the window stickers.
