Skin Rework

There was an STW skin which was not accurate from the pictures i found and it had BTCC plates on it so i decided to make it correct.

the list of stuff is long and boring so i wont bother with the minor details but it was 8 hours of work to get it much closer to real life, i skinned mainly from a picture on track and not a 1/18th scale model but even so there will be minor differences. (slightly different front splitter anyway)

drag and drop to CM to install.

if you want no AO just rename the skin folder to "car_body_ao.DDS" and this will remove the AO

i cannot remove the "autotrader" from the headlights if i do they go black with no texturing. So the logo has to stay

I spotted another STW skin with BTCC plates and not accurate so i will re do that one aswell when i am back on sunday

Velo mod, Surprised you are able to drive it tbh, the interior view drops my frame rate to below 30FPS for absolutely no reason which makes it completely useless to drive, Which happens to be the case with a good chunk of @Velo2023 cars. Just like his Lamborghini Miura p400 SVR which have an unlimted rev range lmao.

Truly some broken mess on his site.

Paul (@Velo2023) is a friend of the forum, and no matter what your opinion is, his work doesn't deserve that kind of wholesale bile.
He's been making mods since the Dead Sea reported feeling poorly, and thousands of people (me included) have had years of enjoyment from them. Have you tried being a rational human and reporting issues to him? I've seen him fix stuff so I know that works.

PS. You didn't add a link to your website where we can download your last 10 years of splendidly perfect free mods? Please?

Paul (Velo) is a nice person, he did btw made on my request the Mercedes SSK without fenders. Why not show him how to correct these aspects or make the improvements and sent that to him. I am 100% sure there are members here that can help.

A crude comparison between the 1993 SD cars and the RSS 1990. The combo of 'COLLIDER_0' and 'COLLIDER_1' is MUCH bigger on the SD car...

Found the mod eventually, car has had a major update but I still have no rev lights on the steering wheel and now no gear indicator on the dash.

Dash rev and speedometer lights also don't work now!

Spent the lst three hours waisting my time, although mod looks better it's now worse because I have less lights.

Reverting back to the previous version, interior is not as refined but has most functioning lights.

It's loose loose situation now between the two different versions. Makes me mad, hopefully someone can find a fix because it just spoilt it for me now.

Definitely not better, did try try this version and has basic steering wheel.

Velo mod is the best out of all the different versions out there, just needs a interior light fix

It's release Friday!

This time again with a historic IndyCar track.

Baltimore 2013 released
This 3D-track was made for rFactor by Leschwaab, revised for GTR2 by saschalolxd. The conversion to Assetto Corsa was stared by damone13x, Rainmaker finished it.


Features:
-competitive AI
-working track map
-support for hot lap mode
-replay cameras by DaBaeda
-support for time attack mode
-26 pit boxes with working pit lane
-CSP support: RainFX, GrassFX
-simple night lights
-2 layouts: one historic correct start and the original rFactor start position
-option for bumpy and smooth road meshes in extras folder, standard is bumpy
-added option to removed 2d crowds: open the ext_config.ini in the extension folder scroll down to last ";remove 2d crowds" and set ACTIVE = 1

KNOWN ISSUES: There is a bug with CSP "lights patch v0.2.5-preview1 full" where 9 cars in front of the original layout are starting from the pits. Use CSP "lights patch v0.2.4-preview1 full" instead to get ride of this error.

As I liked the double tail / brake lights on the 1.1 version, here the line to add in the lights ini file under the Brake1 settings

Ah yes, The dont criticise mods approach! Well know. Go ahead and drive the Lambo for me and tell me just how good it is. Cause the one i downloaded off his site just isn't unusable unless you sit and baby the amount of revs you use each gear or don't use the the well known techinque called heel & toe! Cause reaching an certain amount of RPM the rear wheels will end up in an infinite spin causing the car to forever accelerate at mach 10 speed. Making it useless to drive unless i spent my time fixing it, Which i should not be doing in the first place.

Both his Ferrari F355 F1 challenge and Hillclimb version has frame issues ( on my end ) causing my frames to drop to low double digits. Changing my camera view so the windshield isn't visible anywhere fixes that issue so it's an windshield issue which idk how to fix. Same goes for his Hill climb version.

I have not bothered downloading anything of his after testing out three cars that i was interested in. Cause those three cars made my experience terrible and i dont want to bother with mod authors that uploads broken cars.

I have no issues on my side, have perfect and stable frame rates.

Later 1970s grids haven't yet been on the radar for the LM Project team. Early 1920s is something that will happen as well as a good 1955 grid. Our tracker for 1975 indicates that there are tons of blanks for those races and with the A442 being a reasonable substitute it means that efforts would probably go to bringing a new car in the came that covers a broad range of open slots instead.

That said .. the A442 mod is absolutely bonkers and a handful when you turn up the boost. She's also pretty thirsty when you do so. I 1000 percent recommend it as a fun drive around some tracks as it has always made me smile.

I have downloaded useful stuff from LM project team, but to be honest, I have a long time to check what's up, so I don't know how many of the races they 've managed to recreate until now. In my case, this is how (in the following picture) the grids of 1965-2000 LeMans look like:

In order to achieve that, I had to use almost everything that Legion had made, many skins from RD and many skins from the LM project team as well, but mainly I had to create some stuff that didn't find, like the #29 Ferrari 333 of 1999 LM which I yesterday uploaded on RD for whoever's interested. I plan to share everything I've made, but only the nice ones, because as @fleskebacon 's mom used to say, "if you don't have anything nice or constructive on your heart, it's better to keep it to yourself." -I loved it, she was totally right! But many people don't think this way.

And since the 1955 Le Mans was mentioned, I don't know, but for some reason we all know, I wouldn't like to recreate this one. So I start a full decade later.

Ok here are the skins separate downloads as promised. These are generic, not specified for any particular year but they are accurate between 2002-2007 I would say. I'm not sure when Santander started advertising in F1 but they were definitely the dominant sponsor in 2007. I didn't use them that...
