!!! please note !!! I could not get the light covers to show in game they showed in CM showroom but not on track, to sort this i found the issue to be in the "animations" folder. Delete the file called "FRONT_LIGHTS.ksanim". This will then allow the front light covers to appear in game.

Also on this car, does anyone have a config to make the windscreen fritting behind the mirror appear as dots (like here in CM Showroom) rather than solid (like out on the track)?
The limited shader adjustments and transparency toggle in CM Showroom don't seem sufficient to fix it.

Hey I modded the 2022 leaderboard for 2005/2007 seasons. It's not all accurate as the positions should be on bottom but this is much better than 2022 or 2020 leaderboards, huh? Correct F1 logo and correct font for the era. Still trying to think how I could improve it more. I also removed the annoying brand logos as these VRC years are skin based so all cars were displaying as Mercedes or Alpine before.

Any ideas? Some graphics from this era that could be used perhaps? That word "interval" is so modern 2020'ish... what word could replace it for the 2005/2007 era?

Edit: I made the leader 1 position showing on red surface as it was in the real HUD.

But there is one problem with the track that's to convert... The so called "Bos in" corner seems way to fast in F1c, should be more chicane like, just as in Sergio Loro's Zandvoort track but no idea if that is possible to do...

Just wondering if anyone has any insight into when Ilja will be back from his several months-long Patreon-paid holiday in Monaco (or wherever he has disappeared to) and will actually post an updated CSP?

I'm feel a bit like I'm helping pay him to enjoy a lifestyle I can't afford, but not getting much for it lately. :boggled:

Great job as always guys . The car looks and feels great . The only thing i would say is that the engine sound is a bit off . In 2000 the northstar V8 had much more of an old school pushrod V8 sound . The 2001 and 2002 cars sounded much closer to the Audi R8 . I'll leave some videos for you to check out ,

Working on the sound update now for The Cadillac Northstar LMP 2000. It will be included in the future version 1.2 Update.
 
Been working on this 2005/2007 leaderboard. I made it this way so that driver's full surname is appearing and the colors mimic the original vertical leaderboard. I think I could do the original look but it would block the car quite badly if you're driving from the cockpit mode. Maybe this is better.

First driver is in red, and the next 7 drivers positions are darker (as they're in points).

More ideas of the graphics?

anyone knows where the Teleport (and other features) went? It's not there anymore (in CSP debug - CAR tab ) :confused:

EDIT : never mind, I figured it out ! ( To use that Teleport you need to be in practice mode and I was in race mode )

Nowadays the F1 (and its support series) are really popular. A modding team, who sell his product, can't miss this opportunity to gain profit.
If you compare VRC and RSS there is only a few car is the same. (Now the F1 and F2). The VRC made Supertouringcars from 90's, and Leman's Hybrid cars, and 1 LMDh car (the Alpine). The RSS made other LMDh cars (Porsche, BMW), and oher formula car (example new F4 car).

But you are right that, we have enough (at least 4) choice for the 2024 F2 car..... (Which is (in my option) more uglier than its predecessor....)

I've had this problem randomly for years. It's very frustrating. Happens 1 out of 15 times or so. And there is no cure (at least I haven't found it).

It started after I "upgraded" to Windows 11 (garbage). Never happened on W10.

These big studios were once doing stuff the others weren't but nowadays they all seem to do the same frigging thing. Jesus...

How about some Group C 3.5L car ? Trans-Am from the 80s (like T10 bringing the Beretta, Cutlass or Regal to FM2023) ? A proper late 90s NASCAR ? No, better bring the same thing as RSS.

I’m not saying here what is bad or good “big studio” ( still suspecting just a couple of men who doing this in their spare time). It all depends on your personal preferences. As in my humble opinion from what I did see, RSS is not the best when driving in VR cockpit mode, while a car from another “studio” URD, his cockpit did show in VR much more fine details and 3D depth. In my VR case I do not care about fine details of the rear lights or opening the cardoors.
I can imagine when being a flatworld monitor driver, being a video/photo content maker, or being a “behind the car racer” you have a complete different approach on good/bad. Not to mention the “low spec hardware race” who only wants a straight FPS.
So it’s not a big issue the studio’s are doing the same, it’s just a matter of what studio has a car mod that is for you the best.

I started back in the "prehistoric" era... F1 board game (year 1972).

I still have it today. Originally it only had the Interlagos circuit and (6 F1 miniatures), but with my creativity, I created other circuits from the time (adding up to 24 cars and replacing the original 6-point roulette wheel with a "plate with 24 points").

in VR this is quite disturbing , as it's not a static chip as it looks on this pic , but rather it flickers (some kind of Z-fighting going on I guess)

Other then that it's a terrific mod! 👍👍👍
