Hi, there is an Assetto Corsa version of Circuit des Remparts, a very good one created by J3DModding studio (link)
BUT... It's a professional studio who created the track in cooperation with the city (some sort of official 3D stuff).

They didn't share any links of it.
Some condition to have it (mentions they ask) : you have to pay for it and you have to ask the track officials to use it.

Frustrating, they did a amazing job to recreate the buildings, the track itself, paddock, etc...

Hi, I am Jerome from VR e-motion, simracing center in Angoulême France
I commissioned the "Circuit des Remparts" from J3D Modding.
I was born in Angoulême, the city where the Circuit des Remparts is located, and
I know the route very well, having traveled it on foot, by bike, and by car.
J3D's design doesn't correspond at all to reality: dimensions, turns, and elevation.
The track is completely buggy; cars get stuck in the railings and go through the map.
It's impossible to train on it; it's unusable.
J3D has never made the requested updates and hasn't provided any news for four years.
I paid a lot for this circuit, a four-figure price; it ruined me.
I don't recommend this person who creates his circuits with Google Maps (accuracy 5 meters) while his website indicates Lidar and photogrammetry technology.
I paid exclusivity fees for this creation.
If J3D modding offers to sell it to you,
1- do not buy it, you will be very disappointed.
2- let me know.
I provided this track to someone who really knows how to make tracks for Assetto, JLCJB Racing Mod,
who confirmed that it was very poorly done and there is far too much work to fix, it's best to start from scratch.
If you have any questions, you can send them to me via private message.

Welcome to an other "Charentais" :D
I leave around Angoulême since I was born, going to Remparts races since '95.

I was expected to see someone who take this project to share it. But if you say the result from J3D is not good, of course, maybe it's better to let someone else do it...
But Im surprised this track is not created in 2025 yet (I tried to create it, but my skills are not good enought to create a track, more a urban track).

These look good, but it's always been the glaringly obvious LOD switching that lets 3D trees down. Is this handled any better these days?
the latest version of CSP corrects a lot of problems in this area, especially with shadows which were completely buggy, it's much better and it also depends on how you configure the LODs, I've worked a lot on this the change shouldn't be too noticeable.

This is quite an astonishing story - you were basically ripped, if this is true.

There's another comment earlier that says that modder did "amazing job" on buildings , track itself etc. - it's weird to have such different views on the same work.

But yeah, with paid stuff, it's best to be careful, ask for some comparison images/videos upfront so you can decide for yourself, etc.

I know a year or two ago, HSS had mentioned something about Angoulême as it was part of a poll on which track to finish for release and the overwhelming majority of the votes went to Tours, so that was finished and released. I haven't heard anything else about Angoulême since then. I don't know if it was abandoned, if it's still being worked on or what ended up happening.

This is absolutely shocking to hear but at the same time makes a lot of sense. I can imagine they don't want "regular" folks getting ahold of their tracks because the quality would be immediately apparent and they would go out of business. The fact you spent four figures for something that doesn't work properly and they refuse to fix says everything I need to know about them.

So you are no the only one that has been scammed by them lol

The company i work for commissioned and paid for their Ligier JSP325, JSP320 & both the JS2R's as we run both of them as a team.
They are truly terrible. We paid an combined figure of $15K for all 4 models, and we ended up using all 4 cars ONCE before binning them taking the L and contacted another company instead and got something that is of quality of VRC. Biggest waste of our company money ever spent & everytime we try our hardest to warn other teams from buying their terrible stuff.

They are not even worth leaking.

I had to pay part of the cost for the modder to start the work, which I understand and do every time.
Then I paid the last part for him to make the updates that he never did.
From that moment on, there was no more progress and no more communication from him,
he considered that the work was finished.
After 2 years, I no longer had the financial means, I gave up.

Could you teach me how to extract 3d
model and texture from raceroom?

They are not even worth leaking.
And that my friends, says it all. So bad it's not even worth leaking for free lol

I have to say, I was disappointed with J3DD's "gatekeeping" of their mods, I'm even more disappointed that their wildly expensive and exclusive mods are **** and I'm even further disappointed (if possible) that on top of everything else they're apparently sleazy and sketchy.

Look, I understand having a passion. I understand following your dreams and making a living doing something you enjoy, but not like that.

Here is the MiniPack LM49 (for a little fun).

Contents:

Only skins:
*Ferrari 166 Barchetta ( by Velos ) ( alternative "DATA" folder to decrease the car's performance )
*Aston Martin DB2 ( skins for different AM = ( ACLM50 ) and ( by MG421982 )
*Renault 4cv ( by ACLM50 = 2 skins ( 1 fictitious ) )

Adapted cars:
*Delage D6
*Delahaye 135/175
*Talbot-Lago
*Talbot-Lago Coupe ( adapted on a Jaguar )
*Frazer Nash
*Aston Martin DB1 ( adapted on a Jaguar )
*Simca Gordini ( adapted from the Osca adapted by Godzillarocks, reduced in size (-8%)), but the car would need a larger "cabin", the driver's legs are partially exposed )

The "Driver3d" models used , are varied ( driver_pudding, driver_23, driver_55, driver_57 )
Here are the links ( "DRIVER3D" pack)

If by chance someone has previous versions of some cars, it is better to delete them (to avoid problems).
I did a small (qualifying practice in Le Mans)...to compare times (Ferrari 166 and Delage) and the other cars.
Most of the cars (5 liters and 3 liters) were close (the slowest are the Renault 4cv and Simca-Gordini).
Remember, these are adapted cars, who knows, maybe soon someone will develop something more complex (for now I just want to have fun with adaptations, to simulate historical races).

Kind help from car modelers, I have just started learning to fix various track effects, now I would like to learn how to fix cars according to my tastes, I noticed that there are some cars with splendid reflections, others with very few reflections on the bodywork or in any case that seem too "plastic", can anyone tell me which are and where the files responsible for the reflections on the cars are located?

Thanks 🤝

Reflections is controlled between the txMaps and txDetails of the car body texture. txDiffuse is the skin that you see in the skins folder, txNormal is whatever normal is used with that skin / body. Different people use different things for txMaps and txDetail, simple way is to find a car with metail_details.dds which is a default texture. Bodymap.dds is simply a square texture, and you control the reflection of the car paint by how much either grey or what you make the bodymap.dds file. Convert the attached files to .dds and play with how grey or white you make the bodymap file and you'll see what I mean.

Jugee8 has very generously compiled all of his cars into one handy download, and free if you want.
Not 100% sure but I think these are mostly GT7 ports with refracteive lights, wipers, LODs, and unencrypted.

The mods of Jugee8 are really good (maybe the old ones little lesser). I pay him normaly 1 Euro for one mod, because its converted but there is still a lot of work

From the series ""Despite-all-the-years-this-game-has-been-around-I'm-still-amazed-at-what-it-can-achieve-and-I-doubt-any-other-game-could-replace-it-in-my-heart", a small tribute to the cars in the "WSC Legends 60s" pack, an example of teamwork, supreme quality and good work which occurred to me while I was fine-tuning these cars, which I had yet pending to install and test.

Thanks so much to everyone involved in this marvelous creation.

I started reworking this car in 2022 because I thought that TonyB's port was kind of an insult to VLM and their magnificent work. It was missing so many aero parts, skins were a mismatch, it was just tragic.

After a while I stopped bc it was too much for one person and restarted in 2023 with adding missing liveries so this car has, I think, all liveries from 1982 to 1986. (might've missed some that didn't have ref pics). The quality ain't great because I used the regular 2k skins as base but it is better than nothing.

In the end it's still not perfect (think there's a way to use one single car instead of three but I don't know nor care to know how to do it) but I can't be arsed (since '23 lol) to further work on this car so I'll let y'all do it. It need lods, better physics, some other things (some rear wings variants are still missing; rims aren't properly accurate but I don't have the motivation to even swap those with the mutiple rims setup I used for my PC2 962, yeah I'm lazy).

Some pics to show the aero configs:

(not an error, it did race that way)

CSP 0.2.9
I think that the car is missing all or some of the LOD files nemed in its lod.ini
Go in Content Manager / Content / cars
Select the car
Press "Folder" on the page bottom
Go inside folder named "data" (if not: press "Unpack data")
Open "lod.ini" file with Notepad
Check if there are the files KN5 listed on the car root folder

You paid 15k for 4 mods?!! For that sort of money i'd of wanted at least once to go and visit where they operate from or at least a video of their set up.... I mean they are disgraceful, but people are clearly making it easy for them to act this way....
Why in hells name would you spend that money on mods like that?
