Assetto Corsa PC Mods General DiscussionPC

[StoffelWaffle]

Thankyou for letting me know however the door mirrors are wrong and the wheels and the front bumper, for this reason the FSR version went in the bin

i can paint the headlights on cyrils version the only thing i can see that is better is the rear window's

i just re read what i wrote and it sounds harsh i am sorry, but its a friday and a few German pilsner's have been consumed

you have the earlier version without any aero

Lol nah no hard feelings it ain't my mods, I just updated it so I could paint it lol

never stop updating mods you are a golden nugget mate, skinning is 1 thing but to be able to skin AND pop it into 3d and do all that is another level above me which i cannot compete with (not that i am competing with you of course) but if i was i would fail

I was wondering why Cyril modeled the 850 Estate with that specific front bumper. Never knew it had an aero change in ASTC.

neither did i until about 6 hours ago 😂

the picture i skinned from for reference

people are probably wondering "how did i find the logo on the bottom of the front wings?"

answer: reasearch and lots of it

^^this is the only picture i could find that was not 600x450^^

The 850 estate never had the front aero skirts, they are from the saloon version raced in 95 and 96. Cyril probably made the estate from the same base and didn't change it..

Edit: Oops. I mean it didn't have it in the BTCC...

i am just in the middle of downloading @StoffelWaffle version because in the BTCC it never had the aero...... but it did in the Aussie series.................you learn something new everyday

the amount of variation on some of these car's is mind boggling......it must of cost an absolute fortune to modify and change stuff

Hellos guys !

i was looking for this track mod on AC : Continental Divide Raceway and only found this link :

Continental Divide Raceway USA

Continental Divide Raceway 1959-73 & 1979-82 this circuit was Mario Andretti's favourite circuit. I created it on Andalusia layout as the real circuit was near the Rocky Mountains so gives a perfect backdrop. The circuit is a nice length and good...

www.gtplanet.net

But seems to be broken !
someone have this mod somewhere and can share it ?

i'm really curious about it

thank you all

[sab001]

That's for GT6... (can we convert that?)

[sDmD13]

its going to be soonish, hopefully the next week. thanks @eki03

[sDmD13]

is it btw possible ro port a sound file from gt to ac?

[Iceman311]

I don't get it, 8k dude...
If not crying then why tear-shaped?

Wow, the sarcasm… 8K dude, I’m speechless 😂 Your English is very good tho.😊
Anyway, kinda flattering how obsessed some people are with my mods. So far, all I’ve received are poop emojis, very constructive. I actually expected more from the critics before I started replying, yet none of them can answer the points I made with facts any way I don't care. is good to know there is still people who think, appreciate the improvements and just love racing, like cimmerian Apocalypse, moore and others here, rest is just 8 keyboard warriors vs 7k followers...
Oh, and just so you know: the 2001 to 2006 cars are being completely made from scratch. Stay tuned, though I doubt I need to remind you. Peace out.

I kind of understand ija pov, that new csp are technically "beta" and if you want a bug free experience you should go back in a recommended version. And that not a lot of people would activate these options leading to these options to not be really tested and give feedback. But treating the whole user base as beta tester by forcing these options to gather data in the way CSP is released is actually mad.

Idk why actually CSP follow this development path. Normally for softwares, you have stable release and beta release. Difference being that stable get an update every 2-3 months, and nightly/beta get an update much more frequently. And in the end you get 1.0, 1.1 beta 1, 1.1 beta 2 leading to 1.1

But CSP treat itself as constantly being in beta. Pushing updates increasing the counter without reaching 1.0, and with that you get experimental features at each update. And then retroactively a version of CSP that has found to be "mostly stable" get the recommended tag in Content Manager. The more annoying fact being that each version fix bugs from the previous version but brings more experimental features that brings more bugs. I would just wish if he release a stable version that is just bug fix.

Instead of pushing stable and beta version, he just push beta version and retroactively mark them as stable. Weird path to go on.

63k+ paying members and this thing is still driven like an amateur project...with all due respect to amateurs.
Not asking en-masse a clear development road-map is wild.
Comunication issues between left & right hand, management, the hardship of a one-man operation, who knows what it is?

We get millions of videos and streams and articles and interviews for every new update of every single sim and still CSP is some sort of covert job. No insights, no objectives, nothing.

[maximeerkat]

@Gabriele i have a sticker for you that you may or may not want to use the choice is your's, just because i offer this it does not mean you have to use it.

i ended up making this sticker up from a really bad photo of the net and i ended up luckily getting it fairly close to real life

if it is of use to you for the Alfa romeo skins then please feel free to use them, if you rather keep what you have then that is fair enough as well. I thought i would just give you the option

[MasterFocus]

When testing new cars I always forget to check "Car specific controls" How to set this on always being checked???

View attachment 1465814

I dont think you cant because after cheking it you need to choose between presets, either CM made or user made.

[Kurt Woods]

Try selecting "Disabled" under "Settings/CSP/general patch settings/Physics experiments/Awake physics in pits"

@Quark67 This setting was "disabled" in my options.

you should be greatful you have csp at all though... and there are so many versions that you can just use an older version. stick to 0.179. you can go back to AC vanilla if you like too. also you dont have to pay for it, it is everywhere if you google it. I am very greatful for everything the modder has done to improve a commercially made game.

I do in fact both.
I am grateful and at the same time I'm really behind with updates because the last 6/7 randomly mess up things.

CSP should not be a cult though...it's 2025 and the racing side of things (as in Assetto Corsa The Racing Simulator) moves forward and backwards at the same time making us stumble on random issues...

As for some of the other lovely chitchats happening around here lately, mods Patreons are no cults either.
We can disagree with decisions, check simracers opinions...and we can make comparisons to other free and payware mods.
From the early IER protypes to latest Cimmerian Iter/TomSim's offerings it's not like we don't know what love and dedication are.
Communities should be about sharing the experience freely, not money-dumps where you get just a product in return.

We have already observed the pattern several times, remark magically turned into offence, resentment turned magically into pride or the so called "blowing your own trumpet".
And still, few getting even close to understanding that you critique what you love and love to use everyday.
It's normal, customary stuff.

I did long time ago delete everything on controllers I do not use, while also my default adjustments is changed to my actual wheel adjustment. Default settings = my wheel settings. It always did work but somewhere in all those updates this behavior has been changed to not selected when trying a new car.
So if I could keep this “car-specific controls” selected permanently it’s solved. Somewhere there must be a text in a file that could be changed like from 0 to 1. But I cannot trace that file that contains that in AC, documents nor in the users folders. I can imagine in the flat world it’s not an issue but in VR it’s always restarting the (test)race when driving a new car.

I have a very strange and frustrating issue. Over the last month or so When i run CM I have been random errors on CM start up. I take me about 4-6 attempts to start CM and even when it runs its very unstable. I have tries different version of CM tried installing AC on different drives System diagnostics even reinstalled windows Nothing. Every other game rums without issue and even the base version of Ac using original .exe runs fine so that lends me to believe its not system or game related. After Investigation it sees to be an issue with the later versions of PURE. when I have no PURE installed CM runs perfectly even with CSP installed It got to the point where i just can run CM to run AC anymore. I sopke to Peter Bose about it and he suggested renaming the extension folder in documnets and run CM again , this did not work .....please please help

Here are the random errors CM/PURE is throwing up.

I tried a little further, you also can leave BOUND_EXP=1 if you change the value of BOUND_EMISSIVE_MAX to something below 500.

View attachment 1324776

Don´t know exactly what this value is for, but it seems to do the trick.

Hi Does that mean the track beam goes on and off when you turn the lights on and off. As if you just change the bound setting to 0 the track lights are on regardless of the headlights. Many thanks.

[FrustratedUse]

Has anyone made this mod?

And Variant of it exists but it's pretty awful when it comes to quality. Specifically the interior. The actual 3D shell model isn't to bad.

Do you have these errors only when playing with AC?

If not it's possible that some Window system files are corrupted.
Open the windows Termial as Admnistrator.
Copy and paste the following at the prompt:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

If there are some errors, copy:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

afterwards:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

and:
SFC /SCANNOW

[Peterwxm]

Like i said playing AC via the original .exe works fine its CM with PURE that's the issue. All other games run with no issues and i even done a clean install of windows plus several diagnostics already. All the info is in my original post.
