Many thanks for your response:),
I have looked at the skin and you are right that UV wrapping is not so good.
Many years ago it was a disaster to make such skins yes ,
but now there are programs with which you can skin on the 3D model with Mudbox or Photoshop 3D
https://www.overtake.gg/threads/ski...om-nothing-using-mudbox-and-photoshop.147080/

but you have to be familiar with these programs for complex skins anyway;)
which I am not😢

Well aware the issue is vast majority of skinners back then slightly less so now would work in 2D and the end user license agreement is violated with the model export and yes I have explained this to the devs many times that poor templates leave modders no choice. Having helped make several of the skins in AC and ACC they are all done in 3d anyways by Zelimper and later Tatit both of which have insane talent.
Ooo.. Pardon and ignore if I'm outing you, but from your sig, you're fronting for Charles on the Patreon?
If so, great to see you here, welcome.
Seems like you've been here for ages, and I'm just blind 😊

If you're keen to make 2D skins for the MC12, that French fella has an Assetto Garage version, for which he's made a sane AO.
Maybe?
I used to be part of the team left years ago all I help with now is money stuff and references, a lot of racing teams in the UK are very happy to help modding projects. I got access to some BMW concepts to be made in AC which should have been completed years ago if Charles could stop getting his rocks off to anime games.

Normal everyday rural roads, no safety features; you wreck, you die.. Ditches that can suck you in or give you great slingshots around tight corners. Blind turns, fast flowing straights and twisty rallyesque sections. Excactly the kind of road you would want to drive fast without speed limits..." - CreamK

One of the most fun tracks I've ever played on Assetto. Good job.

Looks like URD is going to start making GT4 cars in the near future, Just let the community guess which one they were working on in their discord and the Mercedes AMG GT4 was revealed

I do wish one of the teams would go in a different direction rather than playing follow the leader and start pumping out mid to late 90's early 00's Le Mans protos and GT2/3 cars. Really flesh out the fields with left field creations like some of the Spykers, Saleen Mustangs, BMW M3 GTRs, WR LMP, LOLA's and a couple of Courage's! I think there is enough evidence to support that kind of nostalgia.

I was always optimistic that RSS called it 'Classic Endurance PACK ONE', but been very quiet on that front since.

The issue with that is finding a paying audience. Sure, people say they want this kind of content but are they actually willing to pay for it? Considering how quickly URD, RSS, and VRC content ends up on piracy sites, and the amount of downloads those get, I doubt any modding team would want to take that risk solely for that reason. Maybe a hundred people would buy it, but another thousand would just pirate it instead.

For those who want to do a partial simulation of Le Mans or Mille Miglie (both from 1953), here's the link to another car adapted to make up the grid (until something better is presented).

The Le Mans skins (the closest I could find), but I couldn't find anything accurate enough for the "1953 Mille Miglie" (except for car number 635).

Some modifications to the "DATA" folder to make it similar to the car of the time, but it hasn't yet been fully tested with other cars from this 1953 season.

The important cars missing from Assetto, to rival this one on the Le Mans and Mille Miglie tracks, would be the Alfa 6c/30 Disco Volante, Talbot 26GS, AM DB3s (I'm using an adaptation on my '55 Mille Miglie), and the Cunninghams.
Below is a different "DRIVER3D" pack.I used "driver_57bx" in this version, which is included in the pack. There are others that can be used.To race in Le Mans (a normal ".kn5" file), to race in the "Mille Miglie '53" file ending in "copiloto"... you will have to manually modify the "lods" file when you want to simulate one of the two races.

Pack ( DRIVER 3D )

This is a list of whitelisted and blacklisted mod creators and teams from the URD discord server. Can someone please tell me why RSS would be blacklisted (especially considering that a while back they were whitelisted)?

They have put my favorite studio Sim Dream Development on their blacklist.

This doesn't stop here. Stay tuned!

we've done a bang on 2000 spec Audi R8 (which is different to the VRC Audi R8...biggest difference is the rear)

I hate these kinds of posts...

Our friend, my friend, @Fanapryde passed away earlier this month from a brain tumor.

He was one of the kindest people I have ever met in the world of SimRacing.
I had the chance to meet him several times over the last few months and I will never forget him.
Gosh. I'm really saddened to hear that news. I had exchanged private messages with Fanapryde a few times over the last couple of years to keep up to date with his health situation and offer whatever comforting words I could. As you say, he was a lovely guy. Despite knowing how serious his situation was, this is still something of shock to me. 😔

The reason is… oh wait, I don’t care. Shall I create a whitelist and blacklist of First Post on GT Planet?

Just another word on Fanapryde. For those who don't know, aside from enjoying fast cars, he also liked going fast on the water and competed in windsurfing at a high level. He was actually the Belgian champion in the 50+ category and got up to speeds above 70km/h.

These are a couple of pics he sent me. Sail on my friend!

DRM Revival and Tommy78 are definitely NOT bad mods. What did this guy smoke for saying that?
Tyrone tracks too. They could be better if only he would be divide some meshes for the grass for example in order to have grass separated from the gravel which is a limitation of RaceTrack Builder, but for sure they are not bad at all. RMi too? What kind of problems have this guy?
