Its funny you mention that as i did find some pictures of one Alfa 155 in the JTCC, the only issue is i need someone from the land of the rising sun to send me some japanese characters as i have no idea how to make them

anyone from Japan able to send me over these characters so i can do this skin?

(Ga n ba ro u Kobe)

This meaning is "Let's do our best Kobe"

I'm probably late again :) but...

"It may have started in 1995 after the Kobe earthquake, or the Great Hanshin earthquake, when the home baseball team Orix Buffaloes (then Orix BlueWave) started the “Ganbarou Kobe” campaign to encourage the region and to support restoration."

LUA, or overuse of PBR, or ridiculously long ext configs, or the new (largely trash) physics, or new AI algorithms... or more memory leaks in CSP's spaghetti code. Who knows. It's bloody frustrating though.
I think it's definitely a CPU (as opposed to GPU) issue though. I have to ensure that my PC (GeForce RTX 4080 with i9-13900KF, so not tip-top but certainly no slouch) is not running ANY background tasks, and that I've not accessed YouTube while having CM started. Even streaming radio to my surround system while playing Assetto Corsa seems to be enough to tank the framerate. The only thing that works is a fresh restart of the PC and ONLY use CM/CSP (and any associated necessary things like Sim Commander) in that session. It never used to be this way though.
I don't think it's due to my PC specs. ;)
So it's definitely something in CSP and/or mods itself.

IMO it's the sound. AC is badly optimized for over 512 channels, some of the new cars have over 100 channels each. When the limit is reached AC starts throttling.

Try to limit sound of other cars in CM. It helps a little, but it's not an optimal solution.

Hello,
Is there a possibility to fix the dark doors within the Smart Mirror.
The Problem occurs only for the doors.
It shoud have same color as the fender.

Affected Cars: F50 and Corvette C1 from Some1.

Greetings

I also noticed a drop in performance with the latest editions of CSP, I've been doing experiments of any kind to optimize performance for 2 months now, in the end I found my optimal settings for my configuration, which I would like to share:
RTX 3070ti
Ryzen 7 7800 3D
Samsung 65" 1440p TV (so I can't use the G-Sync of nvidia cards)
With these specs I play at an excellent graphic detail around 80/90 fps for the heaviest tracks and 120/140 fps for the other tracks.
Below are the photos of my settings for nvidia profile inspector, a program that is very often underestimated but very important for me!
IMPORTANT: since I had also asked here some time ago but without luck and on the internet I had not found solutions regarding those damned shadows and their flickering, I finally found the solution, the only antialiasing that solves the problem is SPARSE GRID SUPERSAMPLING set to 8x, it's definitely heavy, but my eyes have finally stopped suffering. 😍

If anyone is interested I could also share my CSP settings, I tried all the possible configurations and in the end I got the best for my configuration, meaning visual rendering and screen fluidity.

Good evening everyone ☺️

Tthe best cars in Sim Racing (aforementioned RSS GT1 pack, URD Radical SR3, AMS2 Brazilian Stock Cars, Fuzo Touring Cars, VRC 90's Prototypes, WSC Legends Pack, VRC LMP1s off the top of my head) all were made 5+ years ago now and run buttery smooth.

😉

Not only that - the RSS GT3 Pack 1 used to run smoothly - then they were "updated" for 0.2.8 late last year, and while they drive identically, they now stutter like mad. I have half a mind to email RSS and ask for my previous working versions. The thing is, I don't really care too much, as if I want to race GT3s I just run ACC (and soon LMU) and I'm only really fond of the RSS Huracan EVO.

"Progress" is fine, as long as the performance profile of the sim isn't compromised - which it very much is in these cases. This is not a new game - I shouldn't need a 9800X3D to get decent CPU performance out of a 13 year old game.

same here.
since the protech gt3, new rss are unraceable.
I don't even know how to complain since the discord channel seems to be for publicity and events only.
I've mailed them though, one of those incredibly annoying long drunk rants.
been a week, no reply. :lol:

don't know how similar the issue is, but as I reported here some time ago, Chemflummi's tt3 works seems problematic too.
the AKR gen3s are (despite the unglorious looks) quite heavy but manageble on most tracks.
weirdly enough, no problem with the LMHs from the big names.
A shame. I have heard through a few people that they're a little "high on their own success" and don't take criticism well lately. Even if it is of the drunken variety. 😁

Unfortunately I have my surrounding cars sound limited to 3 (and 4 sometimes) - and changing it up and down didn't make a difference.

A solid idea, though.

Well I was mashed beyond belief but I just told them that my rss grids were going fine until they didn't :D
I may, I repeat I may have gone a bit too deep then in remarking that the protech isn't exactly the latest boy in town and that they should steer back to mods usability or either release some damn statement that explains something.

But it's really clear, we have a sweet new DTM 2025 skinset on OT that exploits all new rss gtms.
It's a perfect example on how to systematically bring AC to it's knees, guaranteed results.

The only other time I've experienced a similar performance disaster has been when I tried to race a grid with 6 Chemflummi's cars (both Reiter's and the 296) and some of the older gt-ms.

By the way I'm sure I'm the only one who likes the Lux :D

I have an issue with the last version of csp.
I have several aero version of one car in the same folder, previously with the ext_config like this:

[MODEL_REPLACEMENT_...]
ACTIVE = 1
FILE = greenwood_corvette_76lm.kn5
HIDE = ?
INSERT = greenwood_corvette_80lm.kn5
INSERT_AFTER = WHEEL_RR

All the car was replaced and it worked perfeclty.
But now it's totally impossible and the game crash when i cant to load a game

with the error.
AC\node.cpp (27): Node::Node
00007FFD14A2068B (DWrite): (filename not available): DWriteCreateFactory
AC\scenegraphcloner.cpp (54): SceneGraphCloner::getClonedNode
AC\scenegraphcloner.cpp (20): SceneGraphCloner::cloneGraph
AC\pitcrew.cpp (101): PitCrew::PitCrew
AC\pitstop.cpp (380): PitStop::PitStop
AC\sim.cpp (667): Sim::Sim
AC\splashscreen.cpp (319): SplashScreen::postRender
AC\game.cpp (181): Game::onIdle
AC\game.cpp (210): Game::run
AC\acs.cpp (477): wWinMain

00007FFDB8917374 (KERNEL32): (filename not available): BaseThreadInitThunk
00007FFDB8A5CC91 (ntdll): (filename not available): RtlUserThreadStart

Is there a way to remake it work? It seems now the wheel nodes are doing issues
or is there a way to make the line HIDE = ? (and excluding all but the wheels)?

Night racing at Riverside

A very simple light configuration and something that I always wanted for a long while.

Realistic: NO
Pretty Cool: I think so!

If you don't have the folder just create it and move my file to that location.
assettocorsa\content\cars\tc_legends_hillman_imp\extension

Its just an extension file for Custom Shaders Patch to do the animating. Do you have CSP installed?
HI, Still not working, not sure what I am doing wrong. Regards

Nice but...fps drops for me, from 120 to 15 😓

Hello

That's because you have it in CM showroom and not the showroom which puts the car in game with all extensions active. If you load the car into the game you will not see the white bits e.t.c. The showroom you are using just loads the base model with no csp bits and bobs
Thank you :)

I've always been intrigued by these situations where someone shares something that supposedly works well for him (otherwise, I guess he wouldn't share it. I guess...), and another person says it doesn't... and my analytical mind searches for explanations that fail because of missing data: what PC are we using in each case, potato or NASA...? VR or screen/s? Resolution...? Hotlap or crowded race...? CM and CSP versions...? Settings...? PPF...?

It's difficult to know all the facts involved, I know, but would help to find solutions...

But the AC standard setting in "system/cfg/audio_engine.ini" is "MAX_CHANNELS=256". I manually changed it to 512 a long time ago in 2020 and it worked without a problem even on my old potato PC. Maybe everyone with problems should check this setting, if this is really a bottle neck.

I had similar problems some time ago. I reverted my Nvidia Gpu drivers to 566.36 and problems were gone.
I also had problems with my RTX 4080 Super with a newer version of the Nvidia Gpu driver and so I'm still on 566.36. No performance problems so far on my side. But I have really a highend PC.

Yes 512 is the best setting. Tried changing it to 1024 and it was worse. That's why I said that AC has problems with anything over 512. Maybe Ilya could take a look if anything could be improved. If any of the people here is in contact with him.

I did an easy test, took out 24 of stock new RSS ferrucio's. Then changed the sound of the car in CM to the sound of some other car, I think I took chemmflummy sound, took the same 24 cars out and the frame rate improved drastically. So it is something to my logic.

SCIENCE!! 😁👏👏

You could try reducing both of the "FADE" options in the ext_config.ini to a lower number. That usually helps with the performance. I left it at the default settings so you may have to adjust around with it.

FADE_AT = 500
FADE_SMOOTH = 150

Gaming at 1080p at a lock 60fps with same old 560.94 Nvidia driver update that I had since August 2024 could be a factor on my end :lol:
