Please don't take into account the colors, brightness, etc. These are quick photos, with hardly any adjustments to the settings in the photo app...

As I said, the asphalt and the vegetation (apart from the crowded wildflowers in first view) looks in general much better and more natural with the addition of the extension. However, the flags appear out of place, although by deleting this part of the code...

... the flags return to their correct location.

I would dare to suggest that removing the code on the flags and matching the original grass texture (which is not bad at all and blends well with the edge of the asphalt) so that the tones match the more distant vegetation (which already looks incredible with the extension) would be enough... or at least, to my taste. Some times, less is more.

Okay, I think I've reached a good compromise. The flags are now in place. I redid the entire grass surface, changing the texture, and increased the night lighting on the straight without affecting the FPS. Try it out and let me know if it can be a final version. ;)
P.S. I left a few flowers, but they're not many. Please don't step on them, thanks.😜

Is anyone aware of a track mod for Bedford Autodrome?
Making plans for a full day event at PalmerSport and it'd be good to get some virtual laps in beforehand.
Yes, i converted it from rf1 as i was doing that event there. Its the basic track layout which is what i wanted, but no bells and whistles as i just wanted to blast around it and forget about it... so i can stick it on sharemods tonight and let you have it for sure.

Sounds like a full-fat bells and whistles conversion from rF might be worthwhile. Maybe @shi or @RMi_wood might be tempted?
Surprised it hasn't made its way to AC before now. I thought pretty much every track already had.

Aomori Showroom - new preset for CM available for you.

1. You need the showroom Aomori, available here (paid).


Install the extracted folder into .../content/showroom

2. Download the preset here:

https://acstuff.club/s/QaYO (normal view, for most of all the cars)

https://acstuff.club/s/OYed (wider view, for F1 or bigger cars like SUV etc)

3. Click on save and load the preset with CM (you´ll find it under /loaded).

4. Download the ext-config.ini and the models.ini (attached) and put it into the extension folder resp. the main folder (models.ini), overwriting the exisiting one.

Recommended for csp 0.2.11 or 0.2.12p1. Batch processing of the previews is still bugged but hopefully been solved soon.

My limited experience leads me to believe that the concept "final version" does not exist in Assetto Corsa... :D

I'll try it as soon as I can, of course, although lately I've been having a few days where real life has been getting between me and my beloved cockpit.

Agreed! Horsma is a fantastic track, it has superb AI for offline racing with TCR type cars, big fields are handled well and the different layouts add more unique experiences. Big fun.

Crikey, I'd totally forgotten about that track skin for Horsma. Think it was one of my firsts. Daren't even look at it in case it gives me nightmares.

One of my all-time favorite racetracks, "Horsma Raceway," with its smooth flow and great curves, deserves some polish. It's truly great to drive and never boring in any of its layouts.
Another Horsma fan here, love every single bump and an update would make me clap my hands.

@Swisss if I may, besides obvious british tracks, with brun's Donington Park'23 as my favourite:

Actually, I made this a while ago and I forgot to upload it. I think an extension for this track already exists, but I made this personally for myself.

It's great to see how vibrant the AC community is and how eager they are to improve everything related to mods. 💪
I'm starting work on Horsma Raceway with my "reinterpretation" of the track, then I'll go back to Aviano and two other tracks I'd started because I've learned a few new things (thanks so much to RMi, CrisT86, and everyone else for their invaluable suggestions) and I wanted to refine them further with some additions. ;)
 
This track also needs a big ass refresh


It's a fun little track that absolutely looks like **** with modern CSP iterations + the tarmac is so wobbly
There is an updated version by ACF & slider666. You can find it on @Breathe track list

I just realized that I had renamed the new terrain texture I used in the ext_config file, so the result wouldn't be like mine in the photo. Please be patient 😞 , as I don't want to make too many update posts anymore. Anyone who wants can download the correct one below. Otherwise, wait a bit, as I want to make some additions to Aviano Circuit and then I'll only publish a complete version. ;)

In regards to your first pic you posted, please try and don´t use the models.ini - does it work then? You loaded my preset, didn´t you?

Second image, this is a common CM bug and maybe because the kn5 of the showroom is too heavy for CM, causing a memory error sometimes, you can ignore the message.

For everyone else, I've also done a mild freshen up for Circuit Pla. My updates here. Adds Grass FX, retextured track surface (sadly the too-frequent tiling is baked into the kn5 and beyond my skillset), updated kerbs, three cameras plus a couple of UI elements.

Hi, im using a wheel / simhub and nextion display with assetto, when i go into a practice session and start the display on my screen of the wheel shows my best overall time for that car / track and the delta then goes against that time rather then the current new session, is there anyway to solve that so when i start a new practice session the wheel then shows me the best time for only what i do rather then the overall

The one on RD seems wildly inaccurate - this one definitely seems better.
A fresh conversion with the various routes all separated and coned off, some TSO's added from @leBluem 's app, and this could be a very nice little addition to AC's track roster.
 
AC AI has been discussed. It's pretty good when everything is set up properly (cars, fastlane, AI driver aggression, etc).

But besides the lack of blue flag/outlap AI (which is a major thing) it also has crazy stupid AI decisisions sometimes.

Say you're driving a 1998 season... AI is controlling M.Schumacher. Then he is qualifying and waiting to get on the track. He is in the pits for 2 minutes before the takeoff... anxiously beat Hakkinen's pole time.You know the TV cameras follow him... Murray Walker and James Hunt are full of excitement... when does Schumi go.

THEN... Schumi leaves the pits exactly when he sees Esteban Tuero, Ricardo Rossett and Toranosuke Takagi driving past the pits.

"Yeah I have this masterplan... I'm going to follow the three slowest cars and drivers on the grid and have some extra slipstream. That will show 'em!"

And for sure he's going to follow them for three laps straight... right behind their rear wing despite having the AI aggression at 30, CD Gain and power.lut advantage in the car settings. No... he's not slowing down and making space between them in order to have a clear lap. :D :D

Sure he's going to qualify just ok 90% of the times... but sometimes these happen and it's ridiculous.

Yep i reckon, It was always something i wanted to go back to as there is a lot of real estate to play in, it was just a bit dauting as i'm more into car mods than doing the tracks as IMO so much more to do, and i always expected eventually it would be done by someone already. Amazed none of the drift guys have done anything with it as its chock full of areas ripe for that stuff.

Lets see now its out in the wild in basic form, what happens.

There is little issue with the box lights, they loose transparency

If you want working start lights, here is a fix (NOTE: I had to disable your GREEN SEMAPHORE section from your 1.2 ext)

With the hot summer i was away from AC. What's changed in the GrassFX settings lately? With an old CSP preview i use for development the grass looks like this

With the new one the 0.2.11 which is available for free is like this (under the sun is even worse, it looks like contamined by plutonium).

There's a way to fix that colour without having to manually fix ALL THE 800 config i did over the year?
yeah, I really hope so , the grass is now indeed fluo almost for me too (CSP 0.2.11 - Pure LCS 2.60).
I would expect lowering SETTINGS - ASSETTO CORSA - VIDEO - Saturation would help, but it seems it is not taken into account at all :confused:

And in CSP Config app I can't find a slider for overall color saturation ... shouldn't there be one?? ( @Peter Boese please share your wisdom to help fix this, many thanks in advance)

In fact newer CSP version are unplayable in this condition. And no, i don't want to re-fix all the 800+ configs i did over the years only for a setting, no way, i will hold myself with older bugged version instead for sure.

Yes this is your presets, both wont work.
If I move the view around in the preview box the car isnt far from the camera, but isnt in the correct position
