I did some major pwning and owning today w00t.

Anywho maybe next weekend it'd have to be on a Friday during late afternoon my time. It'd have to start and it could go on too 3AM for all I care. I have a server that I may be able to get if he gets on MSN if you guys are interested.

I have all the basic badges.

This patch sucks! Everything is slowed down, and scores are way down from what i can tell...

And there are still a lot of bugs.

I feel bad for all the new guys that are Privates that are getting owned by all these unlocked weapons. It's defintely bad news for new players. They don't have any unlocks and us Gunnys and other higher ranks have 5 unlocks or more.

Any starting weapon is great, if you use it right.

Pretty much all the starting weapons are good compared with the unlocks. The only class that I didn't like the start weapons was for spec-ops.

Yeah the G36C owns the M4. The M24 owns the M95. The AK-101 owns the G3 and M16A2. The PKM owns only the Type 88 and RPK-74. And so on.

I think the RPK-74 is a little better than the PKM. The PKM seems less accurate.

I disagree about the G3 being worse than the AK too. The 101 is one of my fav guns in the game, but a mid to long range the G3 owns it. It's not necessarally more accurate, but it's so darn powerful you can usually pwn people in 1 or 2 shots.

Also the G36c is better than the stock Spec Forces guns, but only slightly. The middle eastern's spec forces gun is really nice and accurate, just lacking in power.

The M4 has one better thing its crosshair is better for using to aim at the head with.

At the start of each game, it says "voting has started for a new leader, apply now" or something along those lines. How do i apply?

Also, how do i initiate a vote to kick a player or to mutiny against a leader?

You know how you get to the screen to create squads it be in there. Also the mutiny will also be in the same screen mate.

To apply for Commander, bring up the kit/spawn/map window (hitting enter, if you didn't know) and click the "squads" tab. Next to where it says commander, hit apply. If no one else on your team with a higher rank applies, you will get a message saying you've been accepted and to press Page Up.

If you wanna know how to use the commander position, look in the manual.

To initiate a kick vote when a server allows it, press tab then right click with the mouse and go to the "manage" tab.

Whilst I know what you mean, if anything I'd say they have it easy. The new rankings mean that new players should get at the very least 1 unlock in next to no time unless they completely suck. And if they do completely suck they would get owned regardless.

I know my next unlock will be the G36C from what I've played with it, it seems significantly better than the G3 and the accuracy is great. Makes me wonder though why the Spec Ops have a more effective anti-infantry gun than Assault though when Spec Ops have the added bonus of C4.

In other news I finally killed a Sniper at long range with the medic gun, I deserve a special badge. Although I'd imagine it was more a case of luck than the gun being even half good at range.

P.S. I can easily kill people with range with the Sniper Rifle, so no I'm not incapable of killing peeps more than 5 feet away. Having said that, the sniper rifle is rather effective in close combat if your quick enough (and no I don't dive).

@ T5-R: I dunno about the G36 to be honest, i've got that and the G3 and i found that i get more kills with the G3. G36 is awesome at close range (fast rate) and can be used at longer range, but the lack of power means that the odd hit you do get at range is pointless. The G3 on the other hand is mega powerful and quite accurate so the odd hit you get at range causes a lot of damage (esp. headshot), at close range it blows a bit due to a slow fire rate than the G36 and the mini clip that it's got! 20 shots really isn't enough for heated close combat.

So i reckon, G3 for medium/medium-long open maps and G36 for close/medium-close town maps. Just my thoughts

Well i have to say i had a bit of a revelation last night. As well as earning a couple more ribbons and a medal or two, and getting promoted and unlocking the DAO (not bad), i played about 3 hours using the G36 and it is very good.

I've only used it sporadically before and i'd die soon after spawning as the Spec Ops so i'd label the G36 as rubbish. But i was on a role last night and the G36 was kicking arse. Close, medium or long range it pwns. At long range you can actually fire a few rounds at a time and expect nearly every one to hit It still lacks the power of the G3, but i think i might have put it down too much before properly properly using it. G36 is good.

I chose the DAO as my 4th unlock as the AT kit is essential and the DAO always sounds nuts when people are near you firing it (like the G3). You can really sht people up by running at them and offing all 12 shells

Its bound to happen i also reckon Cell chips will become a CPU in PC's soon. I reckon we could start seeing Cell CPU's in PC's in about 2 year time mate.

Hoho, I've certaintly got used to the DAO. Its not been uncommon lately for me to kill 3 people in a rapid succession using a quick combo of DAO & RPG (Range). You just have to remember the limitations of your equipment and catch people off guard which is always fun (Like the good old jump over the sandbags near the flag and unload entire mp5 clips into peoples heads)

I should be getting the G36C next time I play BF2 as according to BF2 tracker I only need about 70 points or so.

I'm officially the Suburb pwner.

In one round of me and one other squad mate that I never had met were owning infantry and armour with our C4 and G36Cs. Sometimes in out of ammo situations our 92FSs. It was so fun I think at one time the whole enemies forces was all focused on us and eventually we were overpowered. Great fun though.

And that 92FS is no freaking joke, I've been killed many times by AT guys with DAOs out of range. It's also annoying to. You peek out, get shot almost quarter of health gone, peek out for a nother look and you get another almost quarter's worth of health gone. Eventually you die. And then find the guy up close and blast him away.

I love using the sidearm a long way a way, or when I am hidden somewhere nice. But I,m really behide the people, while they try to capture a flag then i shoot them a cople of times.
