Damn it. You know, i booked my whole weekend off so i could play BF2, and now you're pulling out like this. You'll hear from my lawyer.

I joined a clan, -=DW=-, I couldn't join their comeptitive division (eZ company) so instead I joined their non-competitive division. Pretty fun being in a clan but I need it to be summer to fully enjoy it. (school) :grumpy:

Well the eZ. division is in CAL. I help practice with them and their strategies when I can. Yes they are good. They got a very tough chopper team but with a combo of me and phatace51 (person who originally reccomended joining the clan) we're a pretty tough team. But he's a ground troop. He's darn good with C4. So I'd say they're real good but of course I'm biased.

Is <hr> in CAL?

What CAL? CAL-I, CAL-O...etc? Because there's different divisions aren't there?

Just emailed Play.com to ask, if they will ever get any box versions of Euroforce.

CAL is the California gaming competition. I really don't know why Eric asked if you're in CAL when you're in England...

Ah. I'm not that hardcore a gamer anyway. Joining guilds and clans etc. is cool, but i don't have the time to do it properly. I'd love to play a 'proper' game of BF2 sometime with people playing 'properly' as teams and squads. Shame that the online experience doesn't lend itself to this.

Have you forgotten I would like to work as a team with you. When we get chances to play BF2, on the battlefield togther as a squad for fun.

With tactics.

No...

CAL = Cyber Amatuers League

Dunno where you got the California gaming competition from. Because... most of my clan consists of being in the east coast. Some even in Canada.

Don't you just love it, when the other team thinks there safe when going over landmines. Then there is a delay, next moment Boom lol.

Ahhh...haha. I've never heard of it outside of North America then. :\

Since you guys like playing Battlefield 2, just like me. You UK guys should watch Over There on SkyOne. It is a bit like Battlefield 2, but more real looking of course.

While not having people shouting n00b lol.

We feel rejected.

Well and i've personally not been playing any recently. Bought COD2, was very good, but a little quick all in all. Will probably start playing BF2 again now :p

Has anyone seen the vid for Shattered Faith? Like omfg, it's amazing! They're going to be another new games developer soon.

*Prays that I'll win*
Get my stats up...and get the chance to win a nice PC.

Community Update - 31st Jan 06

As I pretty much expected, there is some last minute news to pass along. There’s some good and some not so good news but, hopefully, the good outweighs the not so good.

First, I’ll start with the bad news to get it out of the way. We have held onto the 1.2 patch a little longer than we had initially planned. We really felt that it was important to delay the patch and take care of some of the issues that have had the community concerned. This means that it will be released sometime in the next two or three weeks. This, unfortunately, means that the Euro Force Booster Pack will be delayed as well since it relies on the patch. Look for Euro Force to be released in the latter half of February now.

Also, another bit of bad news is that the new feature that allows player to pick up deployed mines with the G key is being held back. In the end, we felt it just wasn’t complete enough for public consumption. We at DICE apologize to all of you who were eagerly awaiting this feature.

I hope that the reasons for the delays are seen as positive by you, the community, and therefore I list these reasons as the good news portion of this update.

The following issues were addressed:

* Being able to pass through walls using a spinning tank turret has been fixed. It has also been addressed on all rotating vehicle positions just to be safe.

* The disappearance of tank projectiles and grenade launcher projectiles during online play has been improved and should occur less frequently.

* The distance for throwing hand grenades, ammo packs, and health packs has been increased.

And finally…

* The Red/Blue nametag bug has been addressed

Regarding the last point, what we have done is make the code more secure to try and prevent any cases where this bug may occur. Since the fix has been in place, we have had no reproduction of the bug in testing.

We’re excited about being able to release 1.2 very soon and hope you all are too.

All the best,
AJ Marini (Euro Force Producer)

Sounds rubbish. I want fixes that actually affect me - new gameplay features, weapons, maps etc. etc. I don't care that i can't see a tank shell; if it's coming towards me i don't think being able to see it will aid me in any way.

You know also in the new patch, you will not be able to shoot and jump at the same time. Also not long till Euro Force add on pack is out.

Sorry if you guys have already gone over this (I haven't been paying too much attention to this thread  ).

How is Special Forces? Is it worth it?

SF is well worth the price, the game play in SF is a bit more different. Since most maps are in the dark, but when you try to capture a flag or defend one.

You have 2nd thoughts.
